The uhaul location looks closed - I was concerned that I was in the wrong place until I happened to see a Uhaul dolly in the furniture store. The back of the uhaul was not swept, there was a water bottle in the cab and paperwork from the previous guest - implying it was not cleaned. We were going to San Diego and started with a quarter of a tank of gas which isn't a big deal but the last thing you want to do before going on a trip is fueling up a $100 gas tank.

The whole process kenda we ent bad front the beginning. The origrnal shop didn't have the truck and the second one didn't have a utility dolly.
david D.I had a terrible experience. Your web site does not match your logistics on the ground. Promised equipment was not available. I was told to do a remote checking but it wasn't possible. I had to return 2 hours later to pick the truck up during store hours. The dolly I reserved wasn't available but the furniture pads from the previous user were in the truck. The truck was fine. But all the logistics surrounding it were a $hit-show. The guy at the location did his best but you simply don't have the capability of providing the service your website promises. I'll be using Ryder or Penske next time. BTW I was told I would get a $50 refund for the screwups but the email I received said it would be$37. The money isn't that important but it shows again how screwed up your internals are. Fire your CEO and fix your company.

And then I dropped off the truck early and didn't have me sign no papers or anything and the following day I got a notification saying thank you for my return and charged my card that 30$ with my approval or knowledge .

Meghan G.This was a complete mess. I pre-paid for the rental, utility dolly and some furniture blankets. I show up to the furniture store and not only did they tell me they didn't have a dolly or blankets to give me, the truck that was assigned to me was full of beds. It had not been checked or inspected prior to my arrival, so the guy just gave me the keys to another vehicle. This became very problematic when I dropped the truck off the next day, because the guy didn't update my rear TV action to reflect a new truck. So when I dropped off the rental the next day, my incurred mileage was estimated to be over 11 000 and I was being asked to pay over $4 000 in adjustment charges for this guys mistake.

Susan C.The furniture store pick up and drop off is a bad joke. I had originally gone online and reserved a truck but when I got there I could not get a code from the website to unlock the keybox and the people in the store didn't know about it or even care. I had to go to a regular uhaul facility to rent another truck. Then when I dropped off, the location I needed didn't have space for the truck so I was directed to drop off at another furniture store and the representative I called gave me a free 1/4 tank of gas because I was redirected that's ok but when I got to the store the box wouldn't open and so I asked the guy at the store to take the key and for that I was charged another $36. He did not do a walk around inspection of the vehicle while I was there or the count the returned blankets. Then the moving blankets were left in the unlocked back of the truck in an insecure parking lot. Every part of this that took place online or at a furniture store was terrible but on the other hand when I went to an actual Uhaul facility and spoke to a trained employee every part of that went perfectly except that even there they could not find my code for the lock box online. Uhaul needs to dump the online system and find a new one and not rely on furniture store employees to represent them.
