I spent an hour trying to check in, and the staff were unable to help me. I understand that they are not a U-Haul store, so it's ok. I just would like to check in easier next time

Produce store clerk provided really good customer service, but didn't have the key available upon arrival, and apologized for this. Rental location is not in the best area due to parking. Everything around had a limit of 2-hour parking; had to park at the Cinema parking 2 blocks away. Clerk was friendly however, which was a plus.

Hemant DI noticed a slightly squeaking sound when I made a turn and I suspect it was coming from the break. Other than that the car was clean and smooth driving. The staff from the cashier to the Mgr. /Owner were very helpful despite being busy with other task and attending to other customers. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Rajat BSomehow my van had not been "dispatched" to me despite being at the pick-up location and so it took a call and some time to sort it out and start the rental. It was confusing because, once I completed the pick-up process on my phone, I wasn't given any instructions on how to pick up the keys.
Heather MNothing to do with the rental location, but U-Haul's servers were down for the first half hour of my booking. I paid for that missing half hour, and I had to pay for another hour to add to my booking in order to make my trip. Not happy that I overpaid. The staff at the location were helpful and tried to help me. I have no qualms with them.

DAVID FHelp at this site was great!! It's always the booking app that's frustrating! I'm sure lots of effort goes to the app and it is reasonably streamlined but the timeout is frustrating. If you pause to do things (lock doors, etc) it Timeouts and you need to restart and take the same pictures again, etc.

Kevin CIt tool almost a full hour on the phone with U-Haul to get my rental started due to the fact No One could confirm my reservation quote was accurate. Then, after arriving to my destination, I discovered the turn signals were NOT working at all at the rear of the vehicle. I called road side assistance. I received 2 phone calls but No One came to fix the signals. I was told to "drive cautiously and use hand signals". Hand signals are NOT possible driving on the freeway for hours. I've rented from U-Haul multiple times and this has been the worst with no assistance and no compensation.

Meghan CThe truck was parked on a curb with the wheel in the air and tree branches scratching the top. I booked furniture pads and a dolly, but it was not provided in the truck. I contacted Uhaul support and they said there is nothing they can do. Great, but wait, it gets better, uHual STILL invoiced me for these items, even though Support noted the refund, I contested the final invoice and create a ticket for the service not rendered but charged for. So now it seems there is nothing I can do but pay for the pathetic service I didn't receive and make sure I spread the word so more people would at least think twice about using Uhaul.

Hector MThe vehicle, and moving blankets and location were all great, drop off was great. But when I booked the rental he told me I needed to check in with my drivers license and photo. I told him I only have a paper interim license (with no photo) and my passport, he said those would work to self check in, I asked him twice to be sure. I found out when I checked in that IT DOES NOT WORK to use an interim license and a passport. I called in to UHaul for check in helpl and they said this will not work, and I need a regular drivers license, an interim one and passport does NOT work. Here in BC Canada we need to renew the license every 5 years and when we do they take back the old one they provide a paper interim one, with no photo, until we get the new one in the mail. Please inform your people who book the vehicles that an interim license and passport WILL NOT WORK for self check in. The Uhaul support said I needed to get someone else who could drive. I had someone who could drive, but she only had a digital copy of her license in her phone, they said a DIGITAL COPY OF THE LICENSE WILL NOT WORK. we had to go back home an get her license. The whole process took 2 hours just to check in. Also when I booked it, I thought all was good to do, but when I called in to resolve it they said they needed a contact that they could phone to verify, at the last minute I had to find someone they could call, this was not clear when I booked it. Regarding the self check in information your guy gave me and the support you gave to resolve it all, you guys really suck. Please fix this in the future. They must be a way to make it accept an interim license and passport.
Ying CI was not asked whether I wanted to get insurance which to my surprise was added on and charged! However, I called your toll free number and the gentleman was kind enough to reverse the charge. For reference please refer to my online booking where I had declined the insurance.

Very easy, driver and passenger was clean, the back area was not clean and I had to broom out and disinfect to add my stuff, I guess thats not a big issue I just like my stuff to be clean, others wont notice that at all.

JAMES CI spoke to an agent to reserve rental. She had poor bedside manner. Seemed annoyed and indifferent. In all fairness, she completed the reservation correctly so I was happy about that. The agent at Best Foods had poor Customer Service. Slow and annoyed. The link to allow Customers to Self Return the vehicle is not user friendly and stalls. It took 40 min for me to find the right settings in my phone to send location. There's instructions but they were inaccurate for iPhone. It would be better to allow user to pick from a list as an alternative. This is because the program doesn't allow the user to complete the Self Return unless you can send location. I took picture of fuel level as is required to complete Self Return but it doesn't allow the user to send pic from photo library. So I had to go back in the store get the agent to open up the truck again so I could take a picture to prove fuel level. Again, if the user doesn't complete this step the program stalls. The truck was clean, safe, and well maintained which is most important. Thank you for your service, Dave
LEIF RI had a really tough time with the technical aspects of the app. I had to take photo after photo and restarted the app several times... I even got chat support. It was not my phone. I think there is something dysfunctional with your app. Other then that, I will be using your services again. Merci.

Kyle EIt was my first time to rent a truck. Overall it was a good experience. Self serve account sign was a bit difficult to locate, may be put it in the main dropdown menu. The pickup Location was good, it was close to the New West train station. Just one comment for the location, the key lock where you can get the truck keys is too high. Had a hard time unlocking it to retrieve and return the truck keys. At 5'5" tall, I still had a hard time.

JASON SCharged me incorrectly for distance driven. I drove 177 KM, but put this as miles and charged a 60 % premium on top.
SAYENDEN SI couldn't pick up my equipment using self service . The system told me "hand delivery" and didn't provide a code. But the person at the store didn't know anything about it. He had to call his boss and they were super rude about it. Should have been easy like getting an Evo. I'd tell others to just go to a Home Depot or Uhaul store.

Van was not full of gas so I had to guess on how much to fill up and ended up over filling. they expected me to fold the blankets when I brought them back. no mention of this was made. The time I received the van keys was at 11:25 but my rental agreement started at 11:00??? Explains why I have not used U-haul in 35 years!

Catherine GI had booked a truck & furniture Dolly and was told by the Nordel depot that sorry we have no dollys and was not aware ahead of time, needless to say I phone other depots and found one but I had to book it on line. Took him a hour to figure out how to rent me a dolly, so I lost 1 1/2 hours of my 5 hours of rental time and day. My question is how can l book a truck and dolly and find out as I'm picking it up that the dolly will not be available, what a day! I may consider someone else next time.

NSOKI TThe manager was not available on that moment and the locker didn't open and the son of manager and one of the workers in store tried for 1 hour and finally they open the lock and I wasted 1 hour of my time. Please train the people who works for your system because uhaul reputation affected by such a these things.

ANNA TABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! Took an extra hour to get this all settled in the first place because the instructions were SO POOR with their "pick up" option at a location that had NO idea what we were talking about even with the uhaul trucks in their parking lot. Can't even believe what a hassle this entire process was. Wasted almost 2 hours overall to deal with the initial issue plus dropping off. Seriously the worst company I've ever dealt with, and I work in customer service!!
