I originally had scheduled a pickup at a different location (not far) than this. When my appointment transferred to this location, U-haul did not inform me that this location didn't open until 9am. My original appointment was for 8am. The U-Haul guy was a little late, so I ended up sitting around for over an hour. Not the worst thing in the world, but U-Haul should try and keep that in mind when rescheduling people to different locations.Kristin M.

Thorough inspection should be done to ensure all equipment is present and safe. Auto transport strap was missing and we had to purchase our ownâ€¦ passenger rear tire was patched poorly and ended up causing us a blowout not even three hours from departure.SIERRA G.
They need a different person representing UHaul. Had to wait 40 minutes for anyone to check me out, then the trailer I reserved was not available and were going to charge me for three days if I didn't bring it back on time. Ended getting a truck, which turned it in on time but was never recorded and I keep getting charged for 3 days, to the tune of $300! had to call headquarters to close my contract. The regional manager had to go to the location in Rifle to verify it was turned in. A bad experience all around.Karen K.

I made a reservation weeks in advance for a truck in Gypsum/Eagle Colorado. It was booked and accepted yet was not available on the day I needed it. I had to drive over 100 miles round trip to get one. It was also smaller than what I wanted. What's the point of Uhaul taking reservations.Paul C.
There were several issues that I experienced, which made my move very stressful and more expensive than I was originally quoted. First I called and reserved a 20 ft truck, where the representative helped me use the code I was given to get a discount. Then I called again to change the reservation and get a 26 ft truck. I asked the representative if the discount still applies, and the representative said: "yes it does." Then when the time came to pay, there was no discount?? Second, I was not told from the beginning that the truck and auto transport would be at two different locations. In fact, my truck was one hour away from me, and I had to go there and drive the truck back in the middle of the storm. When I asked the representative how I was supposed to go there, pick up the truck and bring back my car at the same time without aiuto transport? The representative said: "I don't know how, people do it all the time." I had to please someone and pay him to come with me and to bring back my car so I could drive the truck. Moreover, the auto transport was also more expensive than what I was originally quoted. I believe from approximately $80, I had to pay $116. If I knew all those details from the beginning, I would have been looking for another truck, but two days before the move there was no other truck available in the area and I had to take what was offered to me.Edmond P.

The cost on-line was different than what was charged. Obviously, U-Haul is ambiguous about pricing. I will be contacting Customer Service, not that it would do any good. Probably wouldn't recommend U-Haul to anyone in the future.Tim P.
