Very bad attitude of the owner of the store. I had a problem returning 3 of the 12 blankets the same day, and even though, I called and explained him what happened, and returned the blankets next morning, he placed a warning note on me in the U-Haul renting system. Truck was clean, rental rates were good, but the pickup location was horrible. Shady, intimidating, like they were negotiating a rate with us instead of using what we signed up for online. They were making up terms on the spot to rent us the truck, and literally refused to rent it to us unless we agreed to a minimum of 200 miles over 3 days. Then they lied and said their Uhaul system was "closing" at 7pm so we'd have to leave, even though we were scheduled to pickup our rental at 715pm. We asked to speak to the manager ("Big Mike") who was in the room next door advising his kids how to handle the situation, but we were refused to let us speak to him. Scam alert, I rented the uhaul at this location and returned same day and they sent me a damage estimate report, filing an insurance claim of 695$ with insurance company. I returned without a scratch. This will impact my driving record and most importantly I did not cause the damage!! At this location, there are five other people who mentioned similar reviews of insurance scam in the last few months! I called them back and heard â€˜you don't have to pay, insurance will'. I also spoke to uhual customer service, they forwarded/ redirected me to different numbers and finally said the claim won't impact my driving record. But the point is this is a FAKE CLAIM!!!!NONE N.

The pickup was an ok place, not very well marked. One little sign in the window and no trucks were visible so it took a minute to make sure you were in the right place. Other than that the pickup was quick and efficient.Robert W.

The location I picked up the uhaul was very disturbing Very dirty the owner or manager who ever he was, was allowing minors operate the uhaul business the kid was about 12 I would say also allowing him to drive the uhaul and with very nasty attitude also the manager started screaming at me and I mean literally screaming because I was going to bring my 10 lbs shih tzu in the uhaul because my car does not have ac and it is very hot I removed the dog after he said it was not permitted And he continued to scream and use profanity threatening us saying he can cancel our â€œshitâ€ if he wanted too and threatening to charge us as much as possible for the uhaul just giving us a very hard time after we paid we were literally driving away and he jumped infront of the uhaul so we won't move until he finishes screaming also proceeded to Tell my boyfriend threatening saying to him â€œYou better get my women before I doâ€ like if he was going to do something if a manger could give me a call I would like to make a report of some how against this man for harassment the manager of Big mikes food mart ! They are not setting a good image for uhaul and because of that experience going through a â€œthird partyâ€ such as not uhaul location to pick up vehicles i will never recommend ever & I honestly would want a full refund because the service and the uhaul truck was terrible and disgusting . I toke the uhaul anyways because we needed it to move we had no choice . Please have some type of manager contact meDavid B.

The gentleman in the morning was very professional but the guy in the afternoon didn't want to get off his behind to walk the truck with me. I insisted he walked with me to view the truck and that he provide me with a receipt and he was mad about that. He claimed areas as damage and I wiped it off. Then he pointed and touched an area where a small piece of the decal was pulling off - there was a small scratch just above it that could have been buffed out. I took videos and pictures of the area and when I was doing that, the other guy got in the van to move it across the street to park it even though their reason for not giving me my receipt was because they were waiting for someone to come and check out the van for this supposedly damage. I purchased the insurance but he charged my Amex card for 110 $quick claim that I did not authorized. I do not believe this location should represent your organization.LINDA G.

Attendant was unprofessional. Took over 1 hour to pick up. When returned attendant would not come out to inspect the vehicle, told me to take picture of the odometer. Then tried to charge me a 25 $cleaning fee which UHaul waived upon inspection of the photo...Allen S.

I will never rent from or recommend Big Mikes Food Mart. They're scammers!! I retuned the van back to the shop and the employees inspected the van and said that I was good to go. When I got home I saw a charge for 750 $. I went back to the store and asked why I had been charged. They claimed that I had damaged the front of the roof. They were very unprofessional and were unwilling to show me where the damage was. They kept pointing at the photos I had taken telling me there was damage there. I went to the van several times and there was absolutely no damage to the area that they were claiming I had damaged. I tried asking them several times to come show me the damage but they were unwilling to walk outside the store and show me. They were uncooperative and very rude, and told me that they were trying to leave because of Ramadan. Horrible customer service!!!Kyle O.

Change the pickup location completely. My daughter and I felt VERY unsafe at that location. The store itself sells vape products and bongs. The two men made us feel very uncomfortable. There was no discussion, just pointed to the van and said keys in it. No going over anything or potential damage. We had also reserved a hand cart, which they didn't have. I scheduled my pickup on the App for a 9:00 pickup. I selected 9:00 a.m., because the location was supposed to be opened for business at 9:00 a.m. I thought it would be good to make sure someone would be there just in case there was a problem with the pickup. My wife and I arrived a few minutes early and we were surprised with the business did not open at 9:00 a.m. We continued to wait and another customer who had scheduled a pickup arrived around 9:15 a.m. At 9:29 a.m. I called UHaul customer service. The representative on the phone attempted to make contact with the owner of the business and could not. At exactly 9:34 p.m. the apparent owner and his teenage son arrived. I asked him in a friendly tone "Are you the guy?". He responded by looking at me with a hostile look and said "What do you want?" I said "I have a Uhaul pickup that was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. and I want to pick up the truck." He said in a sarcastic and very unapologetic tone, "Give us a minute." He then opened the door, went inside, and locked the door to the business behind him. After an additional 10 minutes, he finally opened the door and we went inside and completed the transaction. He initially tried to tell me I did not have a reservation until his son pointed out on the small Ipad device that my reservation was listed. We never received an apology, but worse, I had 4 people waiting at my house to execute a move. 2 were paid individuals and 2 were friends. We also had 3 other family members ready to load the truck. If Uhaul is going to partner with a business, it should do so with businesses that will be open when their website says they will be open and they should not be so arrogant and condescending when they are wrong and late. It was clear that the owner of the business did not care one iota anything about customer service. I will add that I returned the vehicle 3 hours later and the gentleman who received the truck was efficient and mannerly. He looked to be approximately 30 years of age. Put another way, the return was easy enough, but the pickup was a very unprofessional. I have used Uhaul many times, but I will strongly consider using another vendor on my next move.Amthony A.

I was overcharged for my gas mileage and all the attendant could tell me is the information entered is correct and she will forward my case to the supervisor who " wasn't in" so I had to wait until the next day to talk to him. I demanded I talk to him. He called me still with the wrong info. I suggested I send him my before and after mileage picture. He said to do that. He said he will get back with me with a new invoice, however, it's been about 10 hours and haven't heard anything. Mind you I texted him and asked if he had recieved my photos and he responded that he did. That's about the only time he responded. When I texted to find out when I should be expecting my adjustment. I never heard from him. So ten hrs later I still haven't heard anything. So my next move is to call my bank amd dispute tje paymemt since he wants to play games!Butler N.
