Mike, himself was very nice. I had a problem with a reservation at another location and Mike was very helpful with reserving a truck for me at his location. I wish I could give him a great rating because he was very helpful. The problem that I had, was that the truck was filthy! It was covered in some kind of grease throughout. My husband had to buy a gallon of bleach and mop the truck out twice so we would not ruin our belongings and our brand new carpet at the new house. I mentioned this issue to the lady at the counter when I returned the truck and offered to show her pictures of the mess. She didn't care at all and her only response was to "complain about it online". Really? How is that supposed to rectify the situation. Absolutely horrible experience! She was eating food while taking my key back also which is horrible customer service. I asked for a receipt that I turned the truck in and she said I would not get one. So, also no proof that it was returned! Before I made it to Mikes to get the truck I had a reservation on 56th street in Tampa. I arrived to get my truck at 9:30am. My reservation was at 8am. When I arrived I was told that I was an hour late and that they gave my rental to someone else. What is the purpose of a reservation!!! She told me it stated "somewhere" that if I didn't arrive on time my reservation would be cancelled. I asked her to show me where. I had 3 text messages and 2 emails and this information was not in any of them. Her only response was "it says it somewhere". She tried to find me another truck and supposedly made a reservation at Mikes, but when I got there he did not see a reservation. The check engine light came on in my car and I went to autozone to read the code before making the long drive that day. If this late policy had been better noted I would have went to autozone afterwards. What a disaster. If I had another option that day I would have went to a different company but because Uhaul screwed me hours before I moved I was stuck with this shitty company!Stella M.

The uhaul sign in is in a food mart in a gas station continence store. The clerk who handles the sign in needs to explain the do's and don't s at the sign up and at the time of key handling. We completed nnline sign up, but we're not told exactly how many miles we drove at the time of checkout. They do charge a dollar per mile. They also ask you to fill up tank nut put tank was not filled up at the start of the trip.PRASHANT M.

I am not one to leave a review or complain, but this was the worst moving experience of my life. The lady behind the counter barely spoke English, it took 45 mins past my reservation time to even get the keys to the U-Haul, and the guy apparently running it (who wasn't even there) was completely unorganized, unprofessional, and extremely difficult to get a hold of. I will not return here for future business or refer anyone to Uhaul, at least for this specific locationâ€¦lots of room for improvement.Nicole B.

This review is more about my experience with U-Haul's customer service - than the actual rental of the truck, which unfortunately, did not go as planned in the beginning. Bottom line is that I had to go to 3 different places before I could find the 26 feet truck that I had reserved. Having said that, I have to admit that I had never dealt with such a superb and sincerely concerned about me getting a truck, customer support representatives before! I spoke with 4 different scheduling managers. They each tried to help me get a truck, regardless of geographical boundaries. I lived in NYC but for personal reasons, I reserved my truck out of Newark, NJ. They were very polite, very understanding, and they really went out of their way to help me find the size of truck that I needed for my move. But what really took me by surprise and made it all worth the minor inconvenience is that after I got to Florida and sent an email to their customer service, within 3 hours, Mr. Nick Mara, I believe a supervisor, judging by the way he was talking, was on the phone with me. He explained to me that because so many people are moving out of the NY/NJ area, and very few people are moving from Florida to NY, they have to depend on their customers for when they will be dropping their trucks off and at which location and etc.. Obviously, that made a lot of sense but I was not aware of that when I wrote my email. Nonetheless, he was very apologetic about the inconvenience that I had experienced and he went out of his way, to make sure that I was happy with the resolution - and I was!!! They were rude and when I first reserved my Uhaul I was not told I couldn't use my debit card so it made me very upset. Then when I dropped the Uhaul back off I got no paperwork or anything as to say how much I was being charged. Didn't even receive an email like they said I would.Daniese M.

The worker at the pick up location was AWFUL. Seemed very inconvenienced by the fact I was picking up the uhaul and not buying anything from his gas station. Upon getting the uhaul, it was just a TAD above empty. I went back inside and asked if I could receive gas in it and he said no, just return it how you got it. I've rented from uhaul before and they were always at least almost full. Not sure if this was a policy change or laziness on the workers part, but made the start of my moving experience super poor.Morgan K.

The gentleman who rented me the truck was very friendly and helpful and I was very pleased with his service. However Uhaul's system shutting down really messed me up. I ended up getting run around town and it took me 6 hours to finally secure a truck. I rated the location as excellent because they were great, but my experience with Uhaul overall was pretty terrible.CHRISTOPHER S.
No help really, over charged my account and have to pay a fee because they didnt close my account out the next a.m. charged me 120 for a trailer i used for 3 hrs. My money still havent came on my card. Just will have a 30 over draft fee for there mistake.LARRY H.

The wheel alignment on the truck was horrible. The vehicle was very difficult to drive. The steering wheel had to be all the way vertical, as if I was making a right turn, in order to drive straight.Jared B.
What the actual fuck!?!? Why in the hell would you direct someone to the sketchiest gas station I have ever had the displeasure of being at in the middle of the night!?!? And despite the fact that internet access is necessary to do this transaction there is NO wifi available. AND there is no one there to help. If you don't have the infrastructure for a 24/7 hours return that's fine but don't LIE and say you do and have me drive all the way out the Tampa (because the dropoff in Riverview that was available online apparently doesn't exist) waiting to get killed by whatever psycho is roaming around at midnight while you figure out how to get your shit together. Additionally, nothing about the instructions I was given was helpful. And why would you ask for the paper contract when 1) you apparently don't need it since you already have it and 2) you didn't state that ahead of time. Everything about this entire interaction was extremely unprofessional. Either get someone out there at night time, create an efficient and user friendly automated checkin station, or don't accept 24/7 returns. Because had I known your "quick and easy 24/7 return" was this ridiculous I would have gone in the morning during business hours but this was unacceptable.Elizabeth T.
