I reserved a 10-ft truck online. When I got to the dealer, he said he had not any 10-ft trucks in quite a while and didn't understand why I was allowed to reserve a 10-ft truck online from his store. The only trucks he had were 26-ft trucks and he was nice enough to let me have one at the 10-ft price. I had to haul 6 bar stools over 300 miles in a 26-FT TRUCK!

I think that if you'll be more interested on the surrounding cities concerning miles it would help to get more customers to willingly to rent hauls I went online to rent a 10 truck & it was Available I ended up with a 15 which I did not mind but I am on disability and I have moved twice in a month, due to personal situation, and. I ended up spending $123 which was very expensive for us to not know until we come to pick up the uhaul. I have to say that the people were very nice to us. I just feel like we were not done right when we were quoted online $76 for a 10 truck, if it wasn't Available then we should have been called before assuming that we could afford it for the 15 truck. Then we were allowed only 35 miles to move stuff from liberty SC to Anderson SC WHICH IS not understanding to me because I have rented in Florida and we were quoted with all mileage neccessary but we filled up the uhaul after we were done. My reasoning for the message is that I feel that my business wasn't the important thing to receive what I ask in the first place and then your company just put us where they wanted us costing us money without knowing firsthand for our approval. I don't mind paying for what I have to pay for, but it wasn't appropriate to just not ask me about changing my $ amount and if the truck I had ordered wasn't a available, thenceforth I should have been called before I arrived. I wasn't very pleased with this it makes me have a sour taste for this business but you seem to think that I am okay with this knowledge of your behavior to just put me in something that I didn't approve. I overall like Uhaul but I will take it to corporate. I feel like you've overcharged us.It opened up my eyes to the next time I go to uhaul rental stores and I will make sure nothing like this happens again! I believe that if it's honored online by Uhaul then it should be what customers receive when picking up and drop off. Thanks for the inconvenience of the financial crisis in the way that I was handled just assumed that it was okay. The people who have dealt with me were very nice.

The pick up location couldn't have been any better! The man that helped us was nice, friendly, personable, etc. We were upset when we got there and he had us laughing when we were leaving. Now for my explanation of why as to why we were upset. I am not happy with AT ALL with Uhaul. I received a call when I was an hour into my 3 hour trip to pick up the Uhaul I reserved and was told my original location didn't have a truck for me but Uhaul would be calling me with where I could get one. NO ONE CALLED. I end up having to call Uhaul to find out where I was to go. I was told LAVONIA, GA. I was headed to Seneca, SC, so going to Lavonia, GA was NOT an option. I was VERY upset as I had no choice but to get a Uhaul to move my son out of his apartment - he HAD to be out that day. The lady on the phone (Katherine) proceeds to tell me that Uhaul does NOT guarantee that a truck will be at the pick up location of your choice. Now this is the first I am hearing of this even though she says I should have been told. When I called to reserve the truck, I spoke to Shy, she never mentioned that. Matter of fact, I have rented a Uhaul 4 times now and NO ONE has EVER told me that there was no guarantee. I would love for someone to go back and listen to my calls and verify that. I paid over $167 to rent this 26' truck from this location in Pickens when what I was supposed to get was a 20' truck in Seneca. I truly believe Uhaul should refund me some money as I feel I should be charged the amount I was supposed to be charged when I was to originally pick up in Seneca. It wasn't by any fault of mine and I had NO idea that you didn't guarantee anything. By the way, how ridiculous is it that you book ALL these reservations on the same day, knowing you aren't going to have enough trucks, to basically put YOUR PAYING customers in a bind. Shame on Uhaul for your shady business practices and shame on you for the lack of sympathy when you put someone in a bind that has no other choice but to get a truck from you. If there was another company I could rent from going forward, believe me, I would. As I told Katherine on the phone, I would say thank you but I don't feel as if you did much of anything for me to be thanked for.

We were told one price on the phone and a higher price when we got there . They also charged us for 100 mile trip, I checked the actual miles we went it added up to 32 miles. Very fraudulent practices will tell everyone we meet not to use this business.

You are trying to charge me an extra day for a 4 day rental contract saying it was a 3 day. That is an error. Instead of immediate refund by customer service she says it will be reviewed and paid back maybe in 3-5 days. This is bad business and I am not happy

Gave us the keys and said the truck was behind the building. Looked for the truck but it wasn't there. Found the truck and it was wedged between a junk car and some car trailers with a tow truck and another uhaul truck blocking our exit. My friend helped me try to move out but after a few inches I scratched the car next to the truck. I immediately stopped when I realized that the truck couldn't exit until the other vehicles were moved. The lady tried to get the truck out, but after walking around the truck and inspecting the situation, realized that it was not possible. She said give her 10 minutes and she would move the vehicles. When we asked if we could get another vehicle she said it was already in the computer. She moved the other uhaul truck and the other vehicle and drove the vehicle partly out. When I questioned if there was ample space she said that she moved trucks in and out all day long and there was plenty of space. I called the office when I got home to let her know that the gas tank was not 3/4 full as she had told me but a little less than 1/2 full. She said to go ahead and let the people in Rock Hill know the situation when I turned it in and if there was a problem to call her. The folks in Rock Hill were very courteous and took care of the gas question when I turned in the truck. They were already on duty before the posted opening time and said everything was fine and I could head out.
