Their lot is extremely crowded and full of junk, the vehicle I rented was not cleaned, and they overcharged me for mileage by more than 2x. Also, in my reservation I requested a hand truck, which was not provided, but at least they did not bill me for it.

Salamat RavandiThe signage at this location is lacking. I knew roughly where it was from Google Maps but still drove by it twice. It is in a side part of what used to be a small residence with only a small sign on the front of the house. All the rental equipment is out of view from the road. Behind the office it is part junk yard with all sorts of things parked back there. Nothing is paved or sign posted just a rough field. The man who assisted me was fine and pleasant, the truck was clean and did the job well and the billing was what I expected and reasonable.

Vijay PillaiThere was no attendant at the location. I had to call some strange phone number 3 times before anyone even answered. After finally seeing someone, I did not receive the packing blankets I purchased. I was forced to call some stranger instead of deal with a professional salesperson and after reviewing the vehicle and its contents I found forgotten and lost items as well as a dirty not very well maintained vehicle. I will not be using this company again. Perhaps I will look for other rentals and rental companies in th le future all together. Very disappointing and unsatisfied.

Carlos FloresThe inside of the truck cab was filthy. There were sticky drinks from previous rentals, the floor had not been cleaned. I reserved a 20' truck but the guy their told me he could give me a "new" 26 foot truck for the same price and that would be better for my move. I thought that would be good also but I was mistaken. The truck was not full of fuel. I told the guy their this and he told me to return it where I was going with the same amount of fuel. The truck was way too big and after getting it to my move location decided to return it. I called the Uhaul customer service and told them that I needed to bring the truck back and get my original 20 foot truck that I reserved. I was informed that I needed to return it to the original location to cancel the existing contract and that a new one would be given to me from another location. I picked up the original 20 foot truck that I reserved which was very good. I checked my credit card later and they had billed me the full amount of the original rental. I had to call and dispute the charge which took 3 days for them to look through. I thought they would bill me for the mileage and fuel costs. I had driven the truck only maybe 10 miles and had it for 30 minutes. They billed me for mileage, trip insurance, a full days rental, and furniture pads that I returned unopened, and a hand truck rental. This was $105. The people at the Sterling g location are crooks. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!. i had previously went to another location nearby in Ashburn which did not have the truck I needed and they were very professional. They referred me to the location in Sterling which was supposed to have the truck I wanted. The location in Sterling should be closed down! It does not meet up to any professional standards. Take not Uhaul corporate! I blame you for this kind of service..

Muztoba AliThe uhaul van I reserved online for a few hours was available, clean, and performed well with great relatively modern features. The friendly owner quickly processed checkout and check-in. Sure the parking lot in the back isn't in great shape and it's also a property used to store others' vehicles but I had no problem driving through it. I parked my personal vehicle in the front of the building per the owner's instruction. I can't relate my one experience here to any of the bad reviews. Also, I'd think taking photos of any rentals, including mileage, is common sense?
Arslan IqbalThis location is the worst I have ever picked up at. It was muddy and there were losts of broken down cars and commercial vehicles cluttering the yard. The had to move three non-uhaul vehicles to get me out with my trailer. The staff there was fantastic though The brake lights were not working on the trailer

Bryant GuzmanNothing was ready and there was no staff until 9:15. They didn't have my hand truck - made me go to another location to pick it up. FYI, I drove 195 miles not what was recorded. Shop is disorganized and looks like a junk yard.
Jason EvansI rented the truck on 25th at 6pm. Next day early morning we droves to our location! After unload items we returned the truck to the designated place at 7pm and put the key in the drop box on 26th since nobody were not there! But the next day I called 3 times and left the message! But nobody answered me! So, I received a text that remind me the u-haul needs me to return as soon as possible! That made me nervous and I called to costumer service! They recommend me to go and check in person next day, so I did. The person in charge told me everything is ok I took the key and send the truck and you are ok! I said why you did not answer me, he said I sent the email! I said I did not get any email!! He said he will send it again. But he put the return date on 28 of August at 8:0000am! So, I returned equipment on 26th But he processed on 28th!! So, during these time I was stressed and caused me couple of phone calls and two times going to the return place!!! It wasn't very smooth!!!

Richard NeimeyerTruck was dirty. Had banana peels under the seat, trash in the glove box, and smelled horrible. When I got to the location to pick up the truck the employee said two words to me, scanned my ID, and gave me the keys. To make a long story short, the check engine light came on as I was getting to my unload location. I was war dialing this location… probably called them 15 times before someone finally picked up. I informed them of the light coming on and told them I didn't feel comfortable driving an hour and 30 minutes back to drop it off. They hung up on me and I didn't hear back from them for 15 minutes when they had roadside assistance on the line. The employee assured me they'd bring a new truck for me to drive to this location and would tow the old one away. Fast forward 3 hours and I'm still stranded in an empty house with zero updates after moving all day long. I ended up having to find a ride to take me back home. Called the manager and he assured me my account wasn't going to get charged… guess what, it got charged. Still trying to have it removed as I was promised. Stay away from this location. There are a million non Uhaul trucks parked everywhere, people coming and going, and they don't answer the phone. Will never come back again. Worst experience I've ever had.

Scott SilzerThe location is extremely tight especially for a trailer. Very few places to drop. Someone who does not have a lot of experience with a trailer would struggle parking it. When we picked up the trailer the guy who was there did not want to take a picture of the trailer connection he made. We had to call the 800-go U-Haul number and someone else came to take a picture.
