MARK HMy original Reservation for a 15 foot truck done on Monday1/22/2024 for Friday 1/26/2024... done at TJ's in Herkimer, NY... arriving at TJs 0845 Friday to discover there were no 15 footer trucks available. Seems U-Haul had claimed all of the subject trucks and NEVER notified me that NONE of the 3 available trucks on Monday were now available on Friday. Seems U-Haul knows how to TAKE a credit card backed reservations, but does not know how to KEEP a reservation. A reservation is just that... just one of the three available trucks on Monday should have been held for my RESERVED use on Friday. Our fortune ... a check later on Friday 1/26/2024 with Ilion based U-Haul site (Bowens Power Sports) --- found a 15' truck just returned so we rented that one. People who well in advance reserve a truck should be better respected and treated, arrangement are made for moving and these arrangements are typically made well in advance. RESERVATIONS need to be better respected... I'll very likely go to other truck rental options for my future needs. A very unsat operation at TJs evidently caused by U-Haul management -- NOT TJs -- that was very luckly turned around by unexpectadly finding an available 15' truck at Bowens. If U-Haul management who did this worked for me -- those managers would NOT work for me by end of day.

NICHOLAS GUhaul customer service is horrible. I will never rent from you again. My truck broke down and had to be towed. Took ALL day instead of 4-5 hours. And then got a bill for not filling up the gas! On a busted truck! Then charged me an extra day for not returning the truck. How do I return a busted truck that YOU had towed! Would not recommend.

This was after the Utica U-haul store rented out the trailer that I had reserved and then did nothing to assist me in finding another one. They stayed late on a Friday night. It is reassuring to know that customer service still exists.

NANCY HIt would be nice if Uhual would allow local dealers to have at least one truck on hand so customer would not have to wait for it to be delivered. So when someone calls they can just come and get it. When I use rider I don't have that problem. Rich

That aside, I did not appreciate receiving a phone call 48 hours prior to my move informing me that my pick up location had changed, and that In order to get a tow for my car, I would have to travel 2 hours East of my location when I was moving West. I understand that trucks are in short supply in this area, but feel as if Uhaul is engaging in " bait and switch" business practices. I will not use Uhaul again. Despite the $50 did price reductionI graciously given, I would rather pay full price and get what I need. Additionally, I want to patron a company that engages in up front business practices. Merci.

CAROL Bhe said his wife usually takes care of the u haul trucks and it took about an hour for him to do the paperwork.The truck leaked when it rained and all my stuff was wet,some ruined. I mentioned it at the drop off location and was given an 800 number to call

EARL SI would never recommend U Haul to a friend after my experience with this rental. Instead I will advise them to use any other agency, no matter the cost, because in the end the extra $$ would be well justified.

DAVID SDidn't have the electrical attachment for my vehicle so I had to buy one from a NAPA store down the road. Would have been better if the store had them available for sale.
