The inside of the truck cab was filthy with dirt and garbage left from the previous user. The gas tank was almost empty when picked up.Cheryl C.
This location was very helpful. However, I only wound up at this location after I showed up to pick up my rental nearly 90 miles away and was told there was no truck for me even though I had reserved a month in advance.RALPH C.
I rented a trailer, and the clerk in the store did not even come look at the trailer with me. I was just given paperwork and told, "Be sure you get the right trailer." I had to complete the hook-up and inspection on my own. The clerk was very nice and friendly; however, it seems like there are some liability issues with not seeing the rental process all the way through.John P.
The place I picked the uhaul at was good. The people were very nice and helpful. On the other hand getting the uhaul was horrible. I spoke with Forest from the scheduling department in Richmond numerous times. He has NO customer service skills at all. I asked to speak to a manager because he never helped me he refused to connect me to Ronda.I made my reservation 2 weeks prior to my move. I understand the reservation cannot be confirmed until 48hrs before the reserved date. I confirmed with Forest that my uhaul was 1 hr away to pick up in Elkton Virginia. I also called uhaul in Elkton VA to confirm my pick up.Then 1 day before pick up I received can email that the uhaul was 2 hrs and 30 mins away in West Virginia. I called scheduling once again Forest picked up. I asked him what happened to the uhaul in Elkton VA. He said he doesnt know and he can't help me. I had to drive to West VA to get a uhaul and a toll dolly because I didn't have anyone to drive me 2 hrs 1/2. When I picked up the uhaul it was 1/2 full. I had to put gas and spend 80 to fill it up to go back to Staunton VA. I am so fed up and should not have had to drive all the way to West VA to get the uhaul. Drive through the back roads with a tow dolly and a truck bogger than what I wanted and put gas in the car. Forest made sure he picked up my called. I would like a credit for the money spent for gas. My friend Meghan Luckey 757-778-3168 also moved the same day. Forest cancelled her reservation 1 day before her move and she had to drive 2 hrs away also to get her uhaul. She had a 26ft truck and was charged 190. Her and I moved from the same town to the same city the same day. How is it that my truck was smaller and I was charged a total of 224. 00?Kimberly O.
I think it's a little bit pricey it cost us almost 400 $to move never again will I use U-Haul but overall experience was OK besides the priceDenver W.

The truck I rented had windshield wipers that were disintegrating with pieces of rubber flapping. The driver's door was sprung at some point and made so much wind noise I had to use earplugs to block out the noise. The truck stalled twice on the interstate. I contacted roadside assistance and they got me another truck.Albert P.

In this area of the country, it would be helpful to have AWD. Also, noted earlier, this location does NOT have cellular service due to restrictions by the Green Bank Observatory. Therefore, your corporate process should consider this. The checkout / checkin process were severely hampered by this.Lowell L.

This is a great service offered by the Buckeye Country Mart; however due to technical difficulties with the software/website, and what seemed like a lack of training and support by Uhaul, the process to pick up a Uhaul that we had ordered & provided payment and driver information for online already, took more than an hour. On moving day, this is unacceptable. I know there is new app, but in a place with no cell service or wifi, that solution will not help either. Uhaul should support the stores more, so they can make the customer experience better. Even after being on the phone with a Uhaul rep, it still took over 1/2 hour to get the paperwork printed.Scott C.

When you rent from them don't give them your credit card for a deposit if you are going to pay cash.if you do they put a hold on your credit card for 5 to 7 day and you play he'll to get it back very poor customer service too....they are rude to you on the phone they have ppl that lie to you but some are very helpful. I WILL NEVER USE U HAUL EVER AGAIN BECAUSE OF ALL THE PEOPLE THAT TREATED ME LIKE CRAP AND WOULD HELP WITH THE PROBLEM THAT I HADCasey A.

Make sure the info is entered into system! Web said no Auto Trailer at this location! I called, the lady was super nice, and she said they sure did have a auto transport available! I had to travel 3 hrs round trip after uhaul notified me the day before that my truck would not be available at my original reservation place. When I arrived to pick up the truck, uhaul did not even have the truck I reserved. Very poor communication and uhaul showed no empathy for what had happened. I will be using Penske for now on.travis H.
Very dissatisfied that I "rented" the truck by phone with a rep in Ronceverte 4-5 weeks before move date, was in route to Lewisburg to pack my daughter's duplex, & received a phone call that I needed to pick up the truck in Buckeye ... 1,5 hrs from my daughter. I ended up paying an extra 170 $to have the packing supervisor drive to Buckeye to pick up the truck Wednesday, so we could load on time & drive the 5+ hours Thursday afternoon. NOT a happy customer!!! Ronceverte rep NEVER told me he didn't carry truck stop. Felt like a bait & switch. Crappy way to do business!!debbi L.

I dropped off a vehicle with MORE than 1/4 of a tank of fuel ABOVE the less than 1/4 of a tank when I picked it up, also dropped off the day I was supposed to & was CHARGED an additional days fee. After I spent time & money to get the truck pulled out of the mud it got stuck in.CANDISE S.

It took over one hour on the computer for rental agreement to be completed-->the site repeatedly shut down. It was much more expensive to rent the trailer than advertised. Also, there was no tongue-Jack on the trailer for ease of mounting.ARTHUR A.
Well, first off, it took me one and a half hours to get just get the truck and paperwork done (while I have movers waiting on me and I had to pay them during this inexcusable wait), I had to show Roger how to do the chains (and the rubber things that go on the chains are dry rotted to the point that they were almost broke in half) on tow bed, I had to show him how to properly make sure the tie downs on the front tires were to be done correctly. After this waste of time, after the truck was loaded at my storage unit (which I had ordered 3 packs of blankets/pads and only got three individual pads....really???), I got back to my apartment to finish loading the truck and I discovered that the electrical wires for the lights to work was not even plugged in!!! So all this time I was driving without any indicator lights working!! I have used UHAUL how many times in the last 10 years? You can look it up, and it has been more than a normal person I can assure you that (at least 6 that I can think of). Don't get me wrong, Roger is a great guy, but the lack of knowledge could possibly lead to very serious safety issues. If I didn't know so much about the process, and checking everything (which no safety check was even done!!), I don't know what would have happened, or could have happened. I don't think I will be using UHAUL again, and I know in the future I will be moving again. This is inexcusable at best, and after my last encounter (which is documented from my trip from Durango, CO to Snowshoe WV in 06/2015, and all the unsafe things that happened on that trip, we really could have killed someone literally because the tire tie downs would not stay on and had to stop every four hours to tighten them) along with this past one is the reason why I won't use your organization again. I have picture to show you if you so desire so you can see exactly what I am talking about. I really do expect for someone to contact me and make this right and to top it all off, I was charged for an extra day when in fact this location is closed on Sunday, so I picked it up Saturday at 1pm, and I was there at 11:30am and was told that because they were closed on the day I wanted it, I would not be charged for the early pick up!!. I am to old to be dealing with all of this, but above all, its all about the safety of your patrons and the people that drive behind us that worries me the most, as it should to you.
