Have the vehicle at the location it was reserved at 2 months prior. Don't call a customer less then 24 hours before the pickup to tell them they need to travel 30 miles to pickup the reservation. Regional Sales Manager "Matt" was condescending and sarcastic.. Absolutely NO discount for the inconvenience. Have a license plate on the vehicle I had to travel to pickup, which was apparently dropped off the night before with no tags, or according to Matt, it was stolen? Waited an additional hour to get another truck, of which was already reserved but was told....and I quote "screw them." Extremely poor customer service except for the initial reservation made. Excuse after excuse....never once offered any discount for fuel or mileage....oh wait...was given and additional 25 miles. Truck was absolutely deplorable. I could continue but what's the point, I'm sure it was my fault, because according to Matt, I'm not the only one renting a truck 2 months in advance, interesting managerial skills.Robert S.

Either wrote the mileage down wrong, or gave me the wrong truck. According to drop off location, start mileage was 1700 and change, but the mileage at the end was 42 000 and change.Charles J.

The trailer had no Jack or stand. The staff handed me a bunch of papers and said â€œgood luckâ€. How about basic customer service? Even if you refuse to provide basic tools and don't want lift the trailer with me, you could have at least helped waive me back to line up the hitch. It was a really poor service experience and I will never return or recommend. I would drive you to another service station or town before using bucks again.William S.

Make the hidden 1 $environmental fee optional or include it in your rate upfront and don't mention why your rates are a dollar higher then, just charge it. (so instead of 19,95 $ rate it would be 20,95 $ or 5 % more)...it would just be more honest and fair to your customers and not leave them with this dirty feeling like they were forced and tricked into paying for something extra. Adding an environmental "fee" after a decision to purchase has already been made seems unethical, forcing others to pay for your environmentalism. If you are going to charge others for your environmentalism it should at least be optional to the customer or if you insist, then it should be clearly part of your advertised rates up front. It's actually disgusting your company forcing me to pay for your environmental activism at the end of a transaction, even if just 1 $...We do notice what you are forcing and there is enough annoying extra government "fees" already on rentals without your company adding even more. You should know this irritates people.john H.
The steering wheel was soiled and there was a pair underwear in floor console and they did not have the appliance hand truck that I had ordered so I had to drive to a rental store to rent one. Penske here I come!Dennis M.

The initial information listed $.89 per mile; the contract increased that charge to 1,39 $. Why would you list the lower price when you charge so much more? I feel cheated.HAROLD S.

The UHAUL app did not work in order to complete the return. In addition, the email and text hyperlinks did not work either. No fault of the location at all. Please fix the gliches with the app, which had worked well earlier this year when I had rented another truck.ryan G.

the problem is with the website. it would not give me a requested location and I was given a pickup location miles away. so I did not use the website and went direct to pickup location nearest me. Great experience with location, bad with website.Daniel R.

Do not allow customers to schedule pick up times outside of the location's open hours. We got there at our scheduled pick up time and the u-haul website said we had to wait til the location opened even though I specifically chose u-haul share 24/7 so that I could get the truck whenever. I am not happy with Uhaul because of this.Dalton W.

Trucks are kept offsite. Dirty, tires were low, empty windshield washer fluid, dirty windshield inside and out, sticky steering wheel, damage on truck exterior. u-haul email link for checklist when picking up truck timed out. 800 number on hold for 20 minutes, so i hung up. rental location did not know what link i was talking about. Truck return after hours location, i called 800 number and hung up after long hold time as well. Rate uhaul.com and 800 number a 4 out of 10. pick up location 6 out of 10.Daniel B.

My experience was horrible! Because I hired 4 people from to different companies thru Uhaul and NO ONE showed up! IT made the whole moving experience very worrisome and stressful! You should tell people to fill out the online drop off before they put the key in the drop of box!Wendy M.

No appliance dolly was there for my reservation. And I was unable to get the Uhaul app to locate me when returning so had to navigate a return for additional days I was charged when I didn't have the truck. Also strange to not have the trucks at the location.Karina T.

We got there after hrs and was going to put the key in the drop off box. Then an employee came out and said he will just take the keys and move it and they will check it in in the morning. I asked him how I would get my 100 $deposit. He claimed there was a store behind KFC in lewisburg. The next day I went and there were no stores there. I saw someone parking a truck so I asked him how I get my deposit back and he didn't know but he just checked my truck in . So I went back to where I picked up the U-Haul and how I get my deposit. She said they never checked the truck in and I said the guy told me he did it himself. So the girl had to walk the other person thru how to check in my truck and then said they will mail me a check. A CHECK. I paid cash I should get cash back. Very poor service.Denice A.

The staff was not interested in doing a walk through of the truck to see if it was damaged. Turned out the windshield was cracked. The truck worked well otherwise.Wade J.

The pick up location was convenient and the staff expedited things well. However, the trailer had a broken chain on the break away brake. I informed the staff and they sent me to another location to see if I could get it fixed. The second location suggested that I contact roadside assistance. I needed the trailer so I made zip-tied the chain to the brake and used it. I did not have any problems with the chain. The second problem that I had was the lift gate could not be opened. I managed to get it open about 18 inches. I crawled inside and lubricated all of the rollers and rails. Only then could I get it all the way open.Andrew E.

I returned uhaul with more gas in it than what was originally in it and they charged me. The uhual also smelled bad of cigarettes. My daughter road in it and ended up in ER from asthma attack due to the smell. People were also not very nice at location.Brittany A.

I rented hauling equipment and paid online in advance. Going to the location they claimed they didn't have it. So I had to go to Walmart and pay for a ball, hitch and pin again. Then had to rush back to the U-Haul place. I had to pay for the insurance again. When I asked for a refund she said she'd have to ask because she wasn't sure!!!!! I had to pay for insurance twice and buy hauling equipment twice!!!! Are you serious. Still haven't gotten my refund. Then the man who came out to help us attach the trailer was incredibly rude. Mentioned how women aren't good drivers. Terrible experience.Faith H.
I reserved uhaul online at one location ended up which was 1 block from my apartment. Had to pick it up in a completely different town which I was not told until a couple days After I reserved it. So still needing a uhaul that day I had to accept the location. Then Was charged 44 $extra dollars because they said I went over my 10 miles that I estimated that I would need it for. However I ONLY went over because they changed the location on me and never asked me to change how many miles I would need it for after it was changed to a different location. This is ridiculous! So for have a truck for like 8 hours it cost me over 100 $. When online the price was 29,99 $. Ended up costing 76 $with insurance and blankets. Which yes I added and was ok with the 76 $. But then to add 44 $MORE is ridiculous! Which wasn't even my fault that the location was changed! Completely outrageous and ridiculous! Never AGAIN will I rent from this place!Jennifer C.

Have the rentals at the location and not a block away. Have Rentals that are on a lot, not parked in an area where the grass is 2 feet high. Have rental equipment that is in good operating condition, I wasn't sure if the truck was going to break down on me or not.Kevin M.
