2nd time renting here. Spiders in dirty van first time. This time Equipment was not clean and felt like the transmission was missing. Truck has major mechanical issues. Staff, store and trucks are dirty. Do not recommend.Shaneka C.
Well first off if you are going to have signs in the truck about saving money like save $25 if you sweep the back of the truck which I did but I did not get the $25 deducted. I probably would have scored high because other than that everything else was fine. I will warn anyone who I hear may be planning on renting a truck.Dianna C.

The gentleman left before I arrive @5:35pm. I had to wait on him to return back to work with socks on, no shoes. he stated that he leave at 5:30pm and Uhaul need to stop booking people after 5pm. I advise him the trailer needed brake and he replied, I'm not a mechanic, therefore I had to purchase some brake fluid for the trailer myself. Customer service skills is needed ASAP if he's going to represent Uhaul Company. Other than that-no issues.Marquitta P.

The truck was not clean inside, the windshield was not visible. When we turn the vehicle on it was loud. We asked what it drivable and he said yes, it was the catalytic converter and loaded he left. The heat did not work so therefore the windshield had to be wiped for visibility. It was just horrible. Convenient but horrible condition. We had no other choice or would have not rented.Gerthania L.

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!! Rude, racist and poor customer service!!! The parking lot has pot holes that your car can sink into for starters! My experience went VERY bad! First off, the clerk asked for my last name and I gave it to him. Next, he asked for my credentials and then denied my rental, after I told him that I had made specific reservations online with a U-haul rep and I explained my situation to him as well. The clerk still denied me as I told him that I asked U-haul on the phone "Can I make this type of reservation?", which was done a week in advance. I went outside and called U-haul and the sweet lady made the adjustments on my reservations, so I kept her on the phone and went back into the store and the guy STILL did not want to reserve me the unit! U-haul demanded to this guy to rent the auto transport to me. After he was going back and forth on the phone with U-haul, he gets VERY ANGRY and storms out the rear door and he didn't ask me to walk with him but yet I had to ask this guy, "What are we doing?" Next he said "Back up here" and I did, so he hooked up the unit and walked off. Now here are the problems: * He never walked around the unit and check for issues i.e. flat tires, missing lights, missing chains, straps or damage equipment. * He never went over any safety issues or concerns. * He never checked the unit to see if it was safe for me and my family to use (What if we had an accident for providing me unsafe equipment to drive? Negligence). *Nor did he say "Thank you and drive safe". I was glad that U-haul texted me a link to provide any damages or missing parts because chains were missing, lights were burned out, and the tag was bent. I took pics and uploaded all of this to the U-haul website. After I returned the unit, I walked inside and gave him my last name and he walked out the rear door of the building and unhooked the unit and said "That's it". I had to ask the guy what about my receipt and if he wanted to walk around the unit to check it, and he said "No need to" and kept walking. I encourage anyone who read this, PLEASE go somewhere else!!! There is enough problems in the WORLD and this doesn't have to be added to the plate. Go to Home Depot and rent from Penske as HD is a preferred rental provider for them. Those guys are great up there and they will help you and explain to to you how to operate any equipment that you rent. BTW, after the RUDE GUY said that he was not going to rent me the equipment, I called HD and they told me that they will rent me something and will wait on me, if they needed to.Alrick A.

The truck wasn't all that clean once I actually got inside, ready to go. Also, the location forgot to put my appliance dolly that I ordered as well in the back of the Uhual. Overall, the truck ran nice didn't have any issues. I have history using you guys and haven't had any problem before until reserving on a closed day using my mobile to find the errors that I did.Chase N.

I returned the rental and put gas on it. They still charged me for gas and another day. I will never rent from you all again. I reserved 1 dolly and 1 appliance dolly. They had both but said they could not rent 1 of them to me. I checked in online and still had to wait forever to get my rental. And I will not be paying those extra fees you are trying to talk on my bill.Starr F.

The truck you couldn't get the key out and the transmission was slipping. The tow dolly I could not use because the strap was twisted and the fender was about to fall off. I called the representative the Rab rent the truck and dolly from he was very rude and said it looked perfectly fine when he had it.I took video of everything. I asked for the sales person a refund on the tow dolly he said now. I've tried calling for three hours straight on hold waiting for the next representative for someone to come out and fix the tow dolly no one ever answered. Wow!Lee V.
If someone has a trailer/auto transport, I'd suggest them another location. I've paid over 3K for my uhaul & that's not counting the amount of dollars I've spent on gas. My pick up location, they've hooked my auto transport up as they were supposed to. When I got to my drop off location, they made me unhook it myself. I didn't feel like driving to the next location, although, it was upsetting I had to do a mans job that he gets paid to do. Especially after the long 2 days of driving I had to do coming from Jersey to Mississippi. For ACTUAL improvement, this location shouldn't even accept any sort of trailers because if they continue to, understand you'll have to hook it up & unhook it yourself.Denisa J.

At the last minute, my reservation was split into two different locations across Memphis/Southaven. The man managing the U-haul services at this location called me last minute--after I confirmed with my original pick-up location that pick-up at 6:45 would be okay-- to say he was leaving at 6:30 pm and would give me until 6:40 before he left (LAZY! They don't close until 7). The woman managing a pick-up location in Memphis where we got our 26' truck was late arriving for our pick-up even though, as before, we confirmed the pick-up time and location before arriving. I felt like I was inconveniencing these folks instead of the other way around! By far the most frustrating u-haul interaction I've ever experienced!Breaune C.

Felt pads were not clean when i picked them up, stored on top of outdoor ice chest. The bigger problem is with Uhaul overall- I made a reservation, for which I received an email confirmation with reservation number, and flew to Memphis on good faith that my reservation would be honored. On my way to pickup truck, I was told that I wasn't scheduled to pickup and they didn't have a truck for me. When I finally reached someone from the regional office, they told me there was only one truck available in the region- in Horn Lake Mississippi, not in Memphis. I guess I got lucky there was that truck available. I guess if it wasn't, I would have flown to Memphis at great expense, for no reason. Uhaul needs to get its shit together.Wendy K.

The people that were there were great , But I had to get a smaller uhaul because the one they had was broken so I had to spend more money on the miles then what I would have spent if I would have got a 26 foot uhaul .the lady's there we really niceAmanda P.
Will never use Uhaul again. Had to go to 4 different locations to get the equipment I needed. Each time there was greater than an hour wait. Additionally, I had to get my dad to strap down my truck to the trailer because no one would do it at any of the locations I went to. Uhaul is truly a shit company and I will never use them again.William C.

This is in a different state than where I wanted to pick up my Uhaul truck. I wanted to pick up my Uhaul truck 5 minutes from where I needed it, but was notified 2 hours in advance that my reservation, which I booked a month prior, was being moved to a different state 40 minutes out of my way. They did not have the extra equipment I needed such as rope or the moving blankets that were in my reservation. So after having being inconvenienced and going to A DIFFERENT STATE to pick up my moving truck I then had to go to the place where my original reservation was to pick up extra equipment. Nobody was apologetic or trying to help or work with me through this inconvenience.Mark S.
