U-Haul will call you just hours before your anticipated return to confirm you will be on time, stating there is a customer waiting to pick up your rented equipment. This is a trick to get you to pay for an extra day. Beware.

ROBERT SI did not get a lockbox code on the app when I rented from my phone. I had to go into the office to have them open the box and give me the key.

He was able to locate a 6x12 open trailer and the day before I needed the trailer which was for Saturday he called me on Friday and said he now has one available at the Rockdale location in Stroudsburg. Mr Edinger always does a super job as I have rented many open and closed trailers from him. He ROCKS!!!

Robert SWhen I say the equiipent wasn't 'well maintained' this has nothing to do with the location I picked up at. I got great customer service from a man named Paul. The problem is the truck has issues. 1st, the alignment was way out of line resulting in a 11 hour drive with a truck severely pulling to the left. Secondly and maybe worse, the truck was not able to be fueled normally without it triggering the gas pump to shut off. After talking to someone about this, I was told it was likely a venting thing. I could only fuel the truck extremely slow to where it took me holding the gas trigger as light as possible, fueling as slow as possible. taking up to 20 minutes. I am not the person who complains to a waitess if my baked potato isn't hot but I did have several problems with this renting experience. I was told by someone over the phone I would be getting a call and credit to my account for other reasons aside from this.

Robert SRenting a U Haul at this location has been a wonderful experience. Mr Paul Edinger is very helpful and overall a great person. He has great customer service skills and a pleasure to deal with. His trucks are always clean and well maintained and he goes out of his way to be very helpful especially at the last minute when I needed to rent trucks or tow behind open bed u hauls. WALDO GThe bill I received was confusing. It's supposed to be 19,95 a day and I got charged 77.00. That was disappointing. I also put the gas back in before I dropped it off.
Jazmine SThe reservation was made to have a van picked up after hours but the place I was supposed to pick up was not a 24 hour pickup location. I did not find out until right as I was picking up the truck. No van located close to me and unfortunately had a box truck which was further than I was supposed to drive. More gas = more money. Terrible that this happened. I would love some compensation for my troubles.

Amarilis RMy E-Z pass was left in a vehicle. I contacted U-Haul immediately after dropping the keys in the lock box. I tried for 5 days to retrieve my pass. I finally had to report it lost/stolen. Receptionist at Butler was of no help nor was U-Haul customer service line.
LASHEEMASHANTAE NI don't know how I got such a large vehicle. I thought I reserved a van not a box truck. This truck was entirely too big. First, it was way too high for me to enter the cab. The owner/clerk was made aware of this right away. he just said to grab the handle. I have been having pain and weakness in my legs. Having to get in several times left me nearly unable to get in the last time I gassed the vehicle. I realized I was unable to get in one more time. This left me unable to purchase more gas before turning it in. The steering in this vehicle is atrocious! The steering wrenched all over the place with any little bump in the road. It was a constant struggle to keep the truck on the road. I had to clench wheel so hard it reactivated the numbness in my hands that had been gone for years. This also activated pain in my arms which hasn't gone away yet. This has been a horrendous experience. I do not think I will be renting anything for years if ever.

STEVE HThe location was clean, the gentlemen that helped me was very nice. The trailer worked fine. My only complaint is that every time I rent one of these I can never pick it up at the location I rent it from. I always have to drive somewhere else.
Brent BWe dropped off after hours and it was a trailer. We just left it on their property for them to find the next day. We had no experience with the staff or building. But we got confirmation they received it, so it all worked out fine.
