After a really long day of moving, I didn't need a 20 minute return after hours. Location services doesn't work unless you download the app. Unless I missed it, it doesn't say you have to have app before you can return. It does on the video that says click to be sure you are at correct location. I knew I was so I didn't click until after trying several times. Then the process was not hard but time consuming.

Erik KPlease encourage U-Haul to modify the trailers to reduce wind drag. Even with the trailer loaded and driving down a long descent, if I put the car in neutral to coast, it slowed down, indicating how significant the wind drag is. A Vee-shaped trailer front, even if just an added-on fairing, would probably make a significant improvement.
Michael MThe truck I was given had 129 000 miles on it and felt it. There was an uncomfortable amount of play in the steering wheel. The engine made a noise as if there was a hole in the exhaust or manifold. On a positive note, the truck was very clean. I was making a local move, but had the option to travel on highway. I was not comfortable taking this vehicle on highways. I am an experienced driver and regularly drive a 16' 9 ton box truck so I know what it should feel like. The rental agent was surprised to hear my issues as she said the regional UHaul inspector had recently cleared all their vehicles. Otherwise, the rental experience at this location was smooth, efficient and friendly and I also felt that my vehicle would be safe there for the day.

Martin HU-Haul should consider buying diesel engines for the larger trucks. The 26' truck with a gas engine is severely underpowered and gets horrible gas mileage. U-Haul says 10 mpg but we experienced between 6 and 7mpg.

Karl PThe keys for self pickup were in the wrong lockbox. I called customer service 3 times. Had to get an ID verified because it's out of state. It prolonged my rental by an hour from original pickup. Worst experience

Kylie GAfter-hours drop-off was overly complicated. The barcode scanner (for location) didn't work and I couldn't upload a photo of the dash (maybe my phone; maybe your website; maybe user error :) ). I recommend simplifying this to the basics: are you dropping this off in the agreed-upon drop-off location (wherever that is)? How many miles? How full is the tank? (These last two I was able to enter without issue.) Merci!
