JOHN S.The employee at the store was the best U-Haul person I've ever experienced. Professional, quick check out and attaching the equipment. Absolutely zero hassle getting on my way (which is not the normal U-Haul rental experience!)
David P.Front floor mats were covered in red mud. Ramp for truck was so dirty and muddy I had to wash it off before we could use it. Inside of truck bed was covered in dry dirt. I swept it out but it still was all over anything that touched the floor. Only rented for a day due to limited time and didn't have time to return for a cleaner truck

The truck was only a minor inconvenience (someone fixed it as soon as they realized the mistake), but it would have been nice to have been contacted in advance about the equipment shortage.

Jeannie L.The Uhaul truck was not clean it had Dog Hair in the Cab of the truck! It had a dirty mattress inside the backend of the truck and lots of dirt on the floor! It took about 45 minutes of my time to clean it before I could put my things-in it. I am very disappointed on it's condition! Inspection of the equipment before renting?

Rosemarie S.The front end had excessive play and drifted to the right. The service ABS warning was on the whole trip. The gas was less than an 8th of a tank and had less than 90 miles to empty. Worried I would run out of gas getting it home. Had to travel 45 miles both ways to get the truck!

Isaac H.Uhaul moved my pickup location and I was supposed to ve able to pick up my rental at 10 am using the 24/7 online pick up . Unfortunately since my location was swirched at the last moment that service was unavailable. After Uhaul confirmed my pickip time for 20 the day before I show up at 10 the location was closed until 12 pm. So I had guys waiting for hours plus ar 50 a hout to help load a truck that was over 2 hours late which I still had to pay . I waited on the phone for 55 min only to find out Uhaul had no clue. Thanks Uhaul for costing me extra an extra 200.00. Ill know better next time.
Francis Z.The online service wasn't working properly after return of the rental. The office closed at 2pm today and there was no way to prove we returned the equipment prior to the deadline. Tried to return it online but it said they encountered a problem. Tried the live chat online and the link didn't work. Nothing happened when you clicked on it. Attempted to call the 800 number and was on hold for a representative for over 30 minutes and eventually hung up. Thankfully the owner of the neighboring business was able to vouch for us that we arrived before cutoff.
Anna H.equipment had not been inspected by the dealer or AFM since the first week of October. The chains on the auto transporter did not have the rubber keepers on them. The seats had a ton of dog hair in the slots where you hook up the seatbelts

Shirley H.The employee was disinterested and unprofessional. He did not even inspect the trailer, nor my tow vehicle prior to my departure. The air pressure in the trailer tires were 15 pounds under. Trailer was dirty and had remnants of tape and trash in it. I'm pretty sure that I wasn't supposed to hook the trailer to my tow vehicle and depart without any involvement by the employee.
Patrick D.Reservation time was 8-28-21 at 8 pm then it changed to 9 pm so when we went to pick up, it changed it to 8-29-21 at 12:00 pm…. Which messed up our plan for whole day.. we had to rearrange helper again.. very stressful time for us.. there is nobody we can contact to find out why time changed on us.. I saw truck was in the parking lot…not happy about out. When we went to pick up rental, the person who was there that day says that was App issue and when we called 877 number, they keep saying no keys for us… you can see my chat conversations and you can tell we were not happy… roaming around night 9 pm looking for help… Drop off location, app didn't gave us clear instructions so but we still dropped and thinking to call them back next day. It is already stressful time for us about move and this didn't helped us. I like to escalate my concern to higher level and looking for discount.

Jan O.I think that if you rent something and you don't use it all the way to where you're going if you pick it up at 1 place and you drop it off addrop it off at another place before you get to the place where you said you were going then I think there should be a credit applied back to that person

Jasmine R.The young man was cordial and friendly but the truck we had rented had not been inspected, had mechanical issues that made it un-rentabl! So a larger truck was substituted (this required $150 worth of gas for a trip that should have been one tank) much more difficult to drive, load, park. They promised $50 dollar rebate from drop off location in Louisville for taking out of my way (didn't happen). It feels like u-haul ripped me off all the way around! (In addition, I was sent 40 miles from my original rental location to pick up the truck with no allowance made on the part of u-haul! Probable never using u-haul again??? They listed truck as "full" of gas at pick-up was only 90 % just saying!!!

TERESA D.Well - I hated that I wasn't able to pick up the trailer at the same location as the truck. It all worked out and it's nothing against this location but it was fortunate that this location was somewhat along my route or it wouldn't have been a pleasant experience at all. U-Haul should consider this Shawn Renton a truck and a trailer.
Daniel L.The only issue I had was I reserved the truck a week in advance online to pick up at 730am. The online reservation gave options the pick up location didn't offer so I arrived at 730am and couldn't get my truck until 10am when the location opened. Just put my move a few hours behind. But once the location opened the staff was great to work with and took care of me.
Samantha S.Ty was awesome. He is so very patient and mannerable. Uhaul had totally messed up my reservation and Ty took the time to fix it for me and get me moving as quickly as possible. He was so sweet with his explanation and verbal guidance on how to safely drive down the mountain with the auto transport and with how to hook it up and secure my vehicle. I am very appreciative and more than impressed with this young guy's personal presentation and customer service. He should be commended for his service.
Jonette M.We returned the uhaul to a Vape store. It was not open on Saturday till afternoon and we were not aware of that. We dropped it off and followed the iPhone return. Then we dropped by later in the day to assure that they knew we had returned and he said it was fine but could not give us a confirmation. It took many emails and phone calls to get the confirmation that it was returned. We would not use that return place again!
Elizabeth C.The appliance dolly was not at the location where we picked up. We had to go to another uhaul and was told we would not be billed for the extra mileage but we were billed and had to pay the additional money in order to return the truck.

I was charged to refill the tank and when I got into the rental there was scratched all over the dashboard. being as I was out of town and didn't know the area and because I'm a very active customer it would be nice to not be charge for the small amount of fuel. very dissatisfied
ANTHONY G.Do not change drop off location to benefit UHaul . It will cost YOU more money in the end. Changed drop off location from Mt Airy NC to Cana VA prior to contract while making reservation. No problems and saved a few bucks. At pick up, the agent added a day (4 days to 5) of use at no cost, so he stated and the contract reflected. While loading the truck in FL, I received a call from Laura Mitchell, reservation manager, asking me to again change drop off from Cana VA to Galax VA for a $15 savings. Adding nearly an hour to my drive to return the truck, I negotiated with Laura to save a total of $27 and change the drop off time from 1100 AM to 300 PM. I delivered the truck promptly at 3PM with the fuel level exactly where it was when I picked it up.. The attendant did not want to look at the paperwork I had in hand, gave me no documentation indicating that I had returned the truck and told me we were through and all was good. Next I unexpectedly received an additional charge for $59 placed by the return agent for an additional day rental and the associated insurance., I disputed the charge with someone at UHaul who told me they would open a case for the dispute. Then I receive an email, assumedly from the return agent, with an unrelated explanation about elevated fuel cost. I responded to this with the original question "Why am I being charged an additional day of rental". Have never heard anything additional from the agent or UHaul. Apparently UHaul conflict resolution procedure is to give a BS response unrelated to the dispute then ignore the customer. Now, as I waste more of my time trying to resolve this problem, I realize that I screwed myself out of more money trying to be benefit UHaul. My overall experience with UHaul went from excellent throughout the rental period, to very unsatisfactory since returning the equipment. After this I would not recommend UHaul to anyone.
