My comments are about the location I had "selected" and "RESERVED" - 700 Kaliste Saloom Rd, Lafayette - not the above address I was sent to-Causing a 2 hr. delay in my packing schedule. The "Reservation" was made 6 days in advance. I began receiving calls from U-Haul 2 days before the pick up date asking if I would change my selected pick up location for a small discount - I declined each time. I was also contacted by U-Haul asking if I could tow a trailor to my destination. I began to wonder who was providing a service for who. When I arrived @ 700 Kaliste Saloom I was told the truck was unavailable did not come back on time and they had no other to offer. I was being sent to another location. When I asked how this could happen when I had a "Reservation" I was told by one counter person a "Reservation" was really a "Hope" (his exact word) that the truck would be available. If you were in my situation, and received the calls to change locations for pick up, you might wonder, as I did - Just when did U-Haul know I wouldn't be getting a truck at my chosen location. Moving time is stressful enough without a 2 hour delay and the absurd explanation that a "Reservation" is a "HOPE".

Danny OThe truck was really loud like it needed a tune up, I was sent to this location because the dollys I requested were supposably not able at another location but no one called to verify what steps were at this location. My husband tried calling Friday when they sent us the email of the change to a different location and no one answered the phone but we assumed everything would be fine but The login was not working initially so it took almost an hour trying to get checked in because we were not informed yall were closed on the weekend and then we drive all the way home to find my dollys in the truck at all. This was absolutely the worst experience I've had

Elizabeth Lmy only complaint is I order a 26' truck, the day before i was schedule to pick it up they stated they only had a 20' truck. i had already lined workers up, so this cost me double the price with gas, mileage and hourly rate. I would have been better off getting a third party service to move me.

BRIAN MI reserved a U haul at the Ambassador Caffery location and when I went to pick it up I was advised the people that rented the truck did not bring it back. So I could not rent the truck and there was no other trucks to rent, the lot was full of trucks, I asked about those trucks and I was told those were reserved. I told them I reserved a truck but I had to go to another place, that they found. I also said why reserve a truck if I could not rent one when I go to rent one. They could not give me an answer. The place I went to rent the truck was very helpful, my experience there was very good.

Brett HMy husband and I went to pick up the trailer. Upon arriving, we were told that we had to hook up the trailer ourselves. My husband had a triple by-pass heart surgery last year and was not able to totally pick up the trailer, even with my assistance. When he returned to the lady inside asking if she had a jack we could use, a large burley man came out and helped. I don't really know if the trailer was checked for cross-country travel. The one we rented several weeks prior was not ready for such a long trip and had two tires that had to be changed; we had loaded the trailer the night before and upon getting ready to leave the next day, we found the tire issue. My husband and I have made seven trips from Lafayette, LA, to Clermont, FL, since this past Christmas; we rented trailers each time, plus a truck on one of the trips and had no other problems. Thanks for making this company such a great asset to our moving society!

CLYDE ODrove 73 miles, put 7 gallons in truck, was still charged $15 for additional gas...guess u need to improve efficiency of these trucks...3,8 mpg...pretty fishy to me. Feel taken advantage of!

MELISSA PThis place is excellent! I needed a uhaul at the last minute (literally at that exact moment) the reservation took 10 mins to make online.. When I called to inform the company I was coming the owner stated they only do ahead of time reservations on Saturdays and he was not there but he informed me that he would be on his way to the office in order for me to get the uhaul! I was soo exited bc I was in the process of moving to Houston at that moment
