My complaint is about the charges. I've tried to download my document but it isn't working. It was late when I turned in the van by phone. I had the van for 12 hours. The total bill was 232 $. I paid for extras of 20 $and 5 $. How does 19,95 $ a day become 232 $for 12 hours?Carolyn S.

First off it wasn't the location nor the true value that was a problem... It was the UHAUL website, as well as whatever UHAUL employees the poor true value personnel had to reach out to... The developers of the website need to rethink their career choice or scrap the entire platform and start fresh! As I waited just outside the office that the true value employee stepped in to make a call to UHAUL, I was blown away by the lady on the other end... She was extremely rude, condescending, had a horrible attitude, and seemed to not give the least amount of well anything as far as customer service and employee relations go... If somebody were to talk to me on such a way in a similar situation... I'd either be seeking some sort of repercussion, relocate, replacement of myself or her! That's if I didn't just walk out on the entire situation... These guys are running a hardware store as well as taking care of a fleet of trailers, and moving vans/trucks..! All that on top of dealing with disgruntled would be UHAUL renters... The majority upset do to double bookings, incorrect website information, and the always displeasing lack of human interaction when trying to resolve even the smallest of any/all issues that are certainly sure to arise! I'd say at the absolute minimum your website is in serious need of an update, a to the point, streamlined, and easy to navigate user interface, it should also be coupled with an easy to use and understand data entry and collection system or device to ensure far better results top to bottom and in turn have far less complaints, unhappy customers as well as employees... it's that easy... if only, right? Simply my thoughts...Levi S.
Nick and Caleb did an excellent job. However, there should have been another man to load the truck and possibly a bigger truck. Not having this available cost me another 1 000 $to get everything to our destination. It is more important to me to get the job done correctly rather than trying to beat some arbitrary time goal.Randall Y.

Initial quote was for 77,45 and I expected maybe 20 $more but when I went to pick it up she said 149 $â€"- I said no way you quoted me 77. She then called and got it lowered to 99, but there needs to be a better quote system.Louanna S.
Well I have a long story are you ready........ We rented and the 10 boxe to small ....... Return it within a couple of hours so we change for bigger box 15, Had to go to a different location to pick it up........ â¤Employeesâ¤ in Canyon City were amazing!!!! So within all the confusion they gave me next today free 9th. with the truck because they did not have storage, That I kept talking about to them and they kept telling me that I would have one.....I had to go find one..... I hope you all this chaos I will be credited back something please call me if you need to know anymore about my experience!!!!!Robin B.

The truck was usable and relatively clean. It had mud/dirt caked underneath, but didn't effect the use. The app stopped working while picking up my truck, and it was before the UHAUL folks got to work. So, I just finished without being able to report the dirts and took the truck.Scott J.

one person started to check me in then he had to give me to someone else because he had no axcess to check us in. after telling how bad that truck bounced very bad ride. He told me to complain to U-haul. they may help with refund. NO help at all with check in just a large bill.Rick C.

Adam went beyond the call of duty in trying to diagnose why our electrical hookup was not working. Then, because of the extra time it took for us to get it working, he gave us extra time to return the trailer. We highly recommend this location for U-Haul rentals. Thank you, Adam!David R.

The staff was very helpful and polite and the location was easy to find and to access! This site was also open on Saturday which was especially helpful since other sites were not. Lots of parking since this is a True Value store location.Don M.

Had to go to two places to get everything I preordered. Although a appliance hand truck was ordered the inventory showed they didn't have any although they did. Had to wait for this debacle to get straightened out. The process took over an hour to complete with extra driving time going from one place to another to get everything. Return in Hastings was fast and easy.Gerald S.

we called at 11am clerk said she was with someone took our phone # said that she would call back, waited 1 1/2 hrs more, called again she said she still hadn't had the chance to check on a 5 x 8 for us, so we drove down there was told there were NOT any 5 x 8 available. The clerk proceeded to call all of Fremont County, no available trailers, on the way out she asked would you like me to call Pueblo West, yes that would be great, she calls and the clerk quickly tells her " that there is in fact a 5 x 8 in her yes Canon True Valley right on the screen in front of him! So now we request the van for 4 days which she refuses to give us because she says the trip takes 6 days, no this is our 5th time driving it takes 2 1/2 days, I signed the agreement for 6 days because now she has used up our entire day and its too late to go anywhere else, 2020 trickery, you need to tell people when you give a quote that when you get down to sign the papers you will be charged 2 extra days. I do want to say the clerk in the Canon store was very nice but poorly trained with no knowledge whatsoeverBurton S.

Our experience with dispatch was terrible. The employees at the puck up location were incredible. However, the call center made our whole experience terrible. We were given a three day notice that our truck wasn't there and were forced to use two smaller trucks. This forced us to get two transports. They offered us 50 % off both but only applied it to one. We pushed back and they took some of it off. They delayed our pickup of the trucks by a day then took 2,5 hrs to check them out. We came to pick up my transports the next morning and the truck didn't work with the transport lights. We waited 3 hrs while they tried to find a new fuse. The call center offered no help whatsoever. The employees finally reached out to the Colorado springs location and found a fuse. But because of the delay we could not make our destination in time and had to get a hotel that was pet friendly costing an additional 175$. Our gas with two trucks was significantly more than one. I will tell everyone I know not to go with uhaul. Go with budget.Shaun L.

The location was ok. The customer service people were useless. I was 14 days late dropping off the trailer because of COVID. I explained i'm a High Risk person for getting COVID because of a heart and liver condition i have. I was exposed to COVID by a family member so i isolated myself for 14 days. The customer service people i talked to were useless. They said sorry, you gotta pay for all the time you had the trailer. Didn't even offer a discount. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM UHAUL.Timothy P.

True Value Canon City is the BEST when it comes to renting a Uhaul. Everyone there goes above and beyond to take care of the customers. It upsets me when they work so hard for the customer and needing to deal with Uhaul customer service for any reason during the rental process is a nightmare, both for them and the customer. In years of renting Uhaul equipment, True Value has earned my top slot for all they do for you to insure a good experience.Sally W.

She told me that I should leave the blankets unfolded because of COVID. When I dropped off today, he told me I was supposed to have folded them. Please make sure everyone is on the same page. I'm a rule follower. Also, she only used the shortest route instead of interstate. There is a huge difference in miles, which really could have impacted my expenses.Shiloh F.
The wait was too long. There were computer issues at the site and with U-Haul. The people had to apologize frequently because of all of this. The online registration system did not save time. Time to update your systems and computers. 3 trips to True Value and the people were nice but each trip took over 30 mins and the pick up of the trailer took over an hour. That is not customer service and makes renting from U-Haul a pain in the butt!Bret M.
