Not happy with your General policy â€¦I reserved the truck with the understanding it would be waiting for me when I showed up. The night before I was to pick up the truck, I received a call changing the location to Cox street, I told the uhaul representative that changing the location was fine and that I would pick up the truck between 7:30 and 8:30 am. I showed up at 8:20 and my reservation had been cancelledâ€¦it's a good thing there was a worker on sight who was able to reopen my reservation after a few phone calls and numerous texts.James Q.

They are a tow company I kept the trailer for 1 extra day they tried to charged my card 606 $and the show up to my business with tow truck to take the trailer and tried to take my stuff that was on trailer. Even the cops said you have to give them the trailer but that's ridiculous and straight greed.Alain S.
Not a very inviting area as the shop is rundown and is basically run by a towing company and we could not enter the building until the guy came to help us. Hardly any room for them to park/store the U-Hauls. That being said, the man was very helpful with a great sense of humor and had us on our way very quickly. He also provided directions for us since the 26ft truck could not go under those small bridges. We also received a brand new truck just out of production. However, the A/C did fail on the truck towards the end of our trip.MICHAEL W.

I was charged 5,00 $ for SafeTrip which I did not order. I don't understand what the Environment fee of 1,00 $ was for or the 5,00 $ NJ Domestic Security Fee either. Otherwise everything else was great. My truck was ready, clean, and return was easy. If you're in Linden. Roselle, or Cranford, this is the Uhaul to rent from.MICHAEL B.

Buxtons U Haul in hopewell nj was excellent in helping me locate a much needed 10' van. The pick up site was the Motel 6 on Rt 1 in Lawrenceville NJ. The van was not there and the rude agent refused to explain or help me. I went back to Buxtons and â€œKristi Readingâ€ worked with me along with Emily@traffic (866-801-3208) to find the only available 10' in Roselle NJ. almost 40 miles from my location. Because of the desperate I made the trip. Emily said she would apply a 50 $credit and additional 70 miles free miles. Because of both Kristi and Emily I would definitely use and recommend Uhaul........the woman at Motel 6 would have ended any chance. Sorry for the lengthy reply, but the rental real urgency attached to it. ThanksKENNETH B.

The only reason I would not recommend is because there is no onsite parking. It's a busy street and you have to leave your car on the side street. When I returned the truck that evening it was really dark and then I had to walk to my car on a nearby street. Didn't feel safe.ALISHA M.

Three experiences recent in 2021 with UHaul were very poor - installation of my trailer hitch early in the year, a trailer rental through my nephew Dante Ardolino and the most recent trailer rental. Your company's customer service is not good.JUSTIN A.
The representative at CES towing was very polite and willing to accomodate my reservation. Also the car hauler trailer I rented was not only just 1 month old but equipped with safety features not found in other trailers from other brands. Overall I had a great experience.LUIS L.

The trailer had a blowout. I was delayed getting to my destination in time to drop the car off at a location that was only there for a limited time Saturday.....then not again until Wednesday the 25th. I was told I wouldn't be charged for the extra day. I found a repair place when the tire and rim blew out and got approval from uhaul to pay the vendor directly and then submit my receipt to the drop-off location to receive a reimbursement for my expense. The very rude gentleman at uhaul in St. Pete not only made me wait until he moved all his trailers around in the lot....after all that time waiting he then tells me that's a corporate thing....we don't do that here!!! I then called your customer service and waited on hold for 45 mins until I was disconnected by the person that came on the line. This was the worst customer service I've ever seen.Daniel H.

I've never hooked up a trailer before and the one person in the office didn't know how either. I now know it is super easy, but when the clerk said to me: "we will learn together" I was really upset because my son was driving the trailer a far distance and I thought it may be hooked up right or not...and the clerk could not have cared less for the well being of my child. And because it is so easy, if she is left in the office alone, why didn't someone train her to do it so that she could have been confident when a person with no experience shows up in the office. I was very disappointed, there were other issues as well, Will never go there again. fortunately, two very kind other customers, helped me hook of the trailer.Anne R.

Both the pick up and drop off locations were fine. However, the genuinely horrific experience we had with U-Haul canceling our truck several times the week of the move, including the morning of, made the entire U-Haul experience disastrous at no fault of the pick up or drop off. This review is more about my experience with U-Haul's customer service - than the actual rental of the truck, which unfortunately, did not go as planned in the beginning. Bottom line is that I had to go to 3 different places before I could find the 26 feet truck that I had reserved. Having said that, I have to admit that I had never dealt with such a superb and sincerely concerned about me getting a truck, customer support representatives before! I spoke with 4 different scheduling managers. They each tried to help me get a truck, regardless of geographical boundaries. I lived in NYC but for personal reasons, I reserved my truck out of Newark, NJ. They were very polite, very understanding, and they really went out of their way to help me find the size of truck that I needed for my move. But what really took me by surprise and made it all worth the minor inconvenience is that after I got to Florida and sent an email to their customer service, within 3 hours, Mr. Nick Mara, I believe a supervisor, judging by the way he was talking, was on the phone with me. He explained to me that because so many people are moving out of the NY/NJ area, and very few people are moving from Florida to NY, they have to depend on their customers for when they will be dropping their trucks off and at which location and etc.. Obviously, that made a lot of sense but I was not aware of that when I wrote my email. Nonetheless, he was very apologetic about the inconvenience that I had experienced and he went out of his way, to make sure that I was happy with the resolution - and I was!!! I rented the truck for one way and was told when I got there that I'd have to return the truck to that location which ended up costing me double! I had no choice but to take the truck because I had an appointment to pick up furniture from a near by location. I had to travel over 50 miles to return it!!!!The truck had high mileage and you felt it as it shook. The lock doesn't work on the driver's side. What else can I say, the worst experience from U-Haul that I've had in 20 plus years that I've been rentingSolomon A.

Woman who waited on us for pick up was extremely slow and could not explain safe tow adequately or correctly. Was unsure of what she was doing and had to wait for confirmation from location manager. Quite honestly, I thought this was going to be a horrible experience...the truck was in rough shape, the app wasn't working properly, the line to get help was several people deep and not moving, and calling the support line took forever. However, your customer support really turned things around. Both the support line that I called and the people on location were spectacular. They handled everything quickly, with professionalism and made me feel both heard and respected. I really, really appreciated the support and I would absolutely rent from this location again.
