Let me being by saying that the truck itself was great. Clean and operated just fine. The 24-hour check in was miserable. When I reserved a truck, I received an email saying I would receive pick up instructions via the phone the day before. Those instructions never came. I went to the location for my pickup to find they were closed. After 10 minutes on hold with customer service they sent me a link to a 24-hour pickup instruction video. Okay, great, except the video instructs you to click 'Pick up my Truck' on the dashboard of the uhaul app... a button which still didn't appear anywhere. Finally I searched for pick up my truck in the app and was taken to a section where I could begin the process. Only then did I learn I needed to start the identify verification process, which involved providing 2 contacts to verify my identity, or a photo of my lease or passport (which I am supposed to have while sitting in the parking lot to pick up the truck?). Suffice to say the app and 24-hour pickup process were a pretty big headache.

Tim KonoldWe didn't get the service we paid for. The dollies we booked were nowhere to be found. As there was no one on site, we called both phone numbers for customer service, which were not available. This is a deal breaker when you want to move a piano or other big furniture.

Also, for fully automated pick-up, if you are going to ask for things like a passport or employer information, it would be good to know that in advance (if it was in the advance materials, I did not see it).

BRIDGETTE PALMERRecommend sending the customer a note that a broom is provided on site because I went out and had to buy one, not realizing one would be provided. Again, maybe provide an e-mail to the customer with a video on what to expect for automated self-inspection, prior to dropping off the keys, because it was not clear that I had to take photos prior to dropping off the keys. Fortunately, I did the right steps in order, but could see how someone would go straight to key drop off before taking photos.

Richard StavitskiThe U-Haul wasn't full of gas when I picked it up. I put $60 in gas in it to fill it up and only drove 36mi. The app kinda sucks, the process to pick it up and drop it off took too long, would've gone smoother if there was human there to do it.

She was kind enough to take the trailer even though the UHaul main office had told us to drop it off at a dealer that was no longer in business. So, we first had the hassle of locating the defunct UHaul place that we were told to go to, and then we got a run around on the UHaul phone system, after which we finally just started calling local dealers. We were lucky to have found Renee. She took great care of us.

If the customer and employee at location is expected to do a digital check in/out then the site needs to work. It is a huge problem and needs to be addressed. It was not the people it is the site.

Patrick Van LuvenWe arrived before 5:00 PM EST on Friday. I had tried to call the number several times several hours earlier. They were not open. I then had to go thru the phone app self-check in process. The truck only had 20K miles on it and it ran great. The self- check in process was not pleasant. We had hired Z moving to unload in Charlottesville, VA. They communicated with us three days before our unloaded and were great. They had a very professional team. That was a great experience. The location was hard to find. And there was little to no parking available to drop off the truck.

Robert LennonWhile this location was fine, it was not the location I reserved. I had to go 29 miles out of my way for pick up and drop off. I originally reserved at the location at Moose's by the Creek because it is closer to my house and on my way to my destination. And even though I reserved well in advance, the truck was not there. This will affect my decision to reserve with Uhaul in the future.

Looking back at my emails I was notified. But........ I don't check my emails everyday. No phone call even though the second location stated that they did. My question is. Why in the hell was I sent to a second location in the first place? If the first location couldn't handle my request then tell me then. Damn guys, this shit ain't that hard

The lady that works here was very ignorant and rude and should not be answering the phone there. I want to file a case and I want my money back. The truck had one pop bottle in it which was not mine it was there when I picked up the truck. I will not be charged all those fees! They charged me extra fees they should not have at all! I also refilled the gas and they charged me for that! My bill should have been around $157 and it came to $233!!!! I want my money back! Lady is very ignorant and unprofessional!
