This location does not stock appliance movers, we ordered one for our move when booking on the website. Hand carts are readily available. The person that manages the uhaul is outstanding, very helpful and made the experience a good one.
DEB VIt was pretty good
Patrick TI picked up the truck completely empty of washer fluid which I didn't realize until I was driving down the highway. The lady at the desk just kept saying the uhaul site was down and to call them if I had any questions. I made a special trip out there in advance to speak to whoever was responsible for uhaul and she just wouldn't answer my questions and kept saying call uhaul. It was super frustrating, I had enough stress trying to move 1700 km away without any chances of a second trip or making a single mistake in the execution of planning and the uhaul was a lot of money. I wanted to just ask an actual human person questions instead of someone in a call centre because of how important this was. I just found her to be reluctant to do anything and maybe her system was down and she couldn't look things up but I felt like she didn't want anything to do with it anyway.
STEVIELYNN FThank goodness for the person who had to come in as the self drop off was a complete failure. It could not verify my location even after changing my phone settings. The lady had to come in from home to help and even she had to call for assistance as the system would not allow her to complete the drop off. She said this had happened multiple times in the last several days.
DAVID SImprove system on line when customer has done all applicable documentation. No one verifies blanket amount in truck.
William KWhen we first reserved at Oak Hills location(outside Bridgewater),they reserved for one day only and it was for a local only.They did not seem to understand what I needed.Very nice otherwise!

alexander lLet your customers know if a truck is unavailable! Called bridgewater to rent and drop off in Chester found one in western shore when I arrived there was none available got sent to Chester and after 45 minutes the truck showed up !

Tamara Klights on trailer did not work. agent did not know what he was doing, took me 45 minutes to get out the door. tgen when i returned it had to be insulted again. your AGENTS, don't even know size of ball needed i had to drive there first to see. I do not have a phone camera, but was talked to like i had two heads because i could not download a picture of my drivers license then he want name and private phone number of a family member.. WTF I am 62 years old. i am not giving out numbers and names to strangers. He does up recent for three days than ask if i want insurance. i ask how much "ten dollars" no for a day.. so then there us another 54 dollars charge. I am so shit of the f-ing scams of not telling the real cost up front. you owe me $54 and tell your AGENTS, the answer to a complaint is not call u-haul
bernadette wIt was supposed to be open, but wasn't. All the U-Hauls the were haphazardly parked (an employee who was there but not working told me to park where I did . If the gas station drop off location was open like it's hours suggested I wouldn't have dropped of an almost empty truck.
Cody HI found that depending on availability of equipment, the price changes. A one way rental increased by $200 one week different in time due to a shortage of 1 type of trailer in an area locally. This is a very unsavoury trait!
STEVEN SThe staff at the Irving had little knowledge of the UHaul rental process (obviously haven't been trained, they were pleasant, just clueless on the UHaul stuff). The "manager "who does this" was not available". The staff need some minimal training. There was an issue filling the vehicle with gas. Had replace the fuel to 3/4, gauge level at pick-up. The fuel gauge was apparently stuck on 5/8th and we kept on filling and filling; eventually gauge "jumped" to just short of full (likely 5 to 10 litres more gas was added than required (no way to reverse the "error") A rather annoying circumstance at the end of a tiring day.
Paul RIt smelled like cigarette in the truck, ashtray was full of ash.
SAMUEL VUnfortunately their was a power blackout in the area and had to deal with a unsullied operator.
Brian FLocation was fine and service was mediocre. my initial confirmed reservation was in Halifax the day before my reservation, it was canceled and the only option was to take a rental from Chester. 45 mins away from halifax. I had initially reserved a 20' truck but again was obligated to take a 26" truck,. oversized with VERY POOR FUEL ECONOMY. I should be appropriately compensated for my inconvenience and additional expenses. Garth JMy rental was confirmed for OCR Bridgewater location, and I was told at the last minute it wasn't there and then forced to travel to Chester for the pick up. My order was for 8am and I didn't get truck until 1200. This was a long distance move. I am being charged for extra klms, seriously!!! Then you send the balance of my deposit to my previous address in the other province, talk about poor and unprofessional. I will never use nor recommend uhaul to anyone unless I don't like them.

Blaine BHere's the problem. We reserved a truck in HALIFAX and had a small window of time to align our moving out/ moving in and when we arrived to the reserved location we had to drive to CHESTER, 45 minutes out of our way, to get the truck. Why reserve if you can't provide. This put a lot of undo stress on a moving day when it did not need to be that way.if you can't provide the service you confirm have the curtisy to inform your clients!! Not a happy day. Not a happy review! The Chester location was very sympathetic regarding our issues. The Halifax location.... not so much!
Staci SAll the staff needs to have the same amount of training...pick up was awful (lady working didnt really know what to do) and drop off was fabulous ( the guy knew what he was doing).
Michael SThe Passenger side door was not working. The door would not open from the inside or outside. The previous user did not clean out the truck. I made sue to sweep out the truck after I used it. Other than that, the truck worked perfectly and met all my needs.

Keltie DPick up and drop off was a nightmare, for it was a busy gas station with only one younger guy working. When I dropped it off it took well over a half an hour because about 15 bikers got gas and the poor feller had to wait on them first.
shannan hIt is my opinion that every U-haul rental truck should be returned with a full tank of fuel. We paid C$57,75 for 43 liters of gas for a trip of 74,5 km., because the rental location went by the fuel gauge! I think that is absolutely outrageous. That is almost 0,5 liter for every km driven. No way. Also the total bill came to $92.65, yet my credit card was charged $290.89, which means we now have to start fighting to get this reimbursed. So not impressed with the whole U-haul experience.

Kathleen AThe Irving in Chester was not my original pick up place. It was where we had to get a truck. I had reserve a truck in Dartmouth but they screwed up my reservation and no truck was available so I had to drive an hour out of my way to pick up a truck when I got there the numbers they had told me on the phone were very wrong. I had reserved a 20 foot truck and I was Going to be billed for a 26 which is all they had. I had to call U-Haul and complain and get them to reduce it at the price of the truck I had. reserved. When we finally got into the 26 foot truck the information that has been recorded from the last return was wrong the PaperWorks at the truck had half a tank when in reality it had less than 3/8. We mentioned it to the employee at the Chester Irving and he corrected the number on the paperwork and initial it however he did not change it online so when we arrive in Sussex there was some issue with the fact that they said different things. Mia at dairy town marker was great and made The necessary changes. I would describe this experience was terrible. In the future I will do my best to avoid using U-Haul.

AMANDA FThe trailer I rented was still dirty inside when I got it. The left brake/flasher bulb was not working, which we only found out later. It took hours of time to get it fixed.
Michael GTruck dirty, not been cleaned by last renter. Truck must be inspected by the location. Had to wait half an hour because manager to busy with people getting gas. Have two people available at truck pickup time. Solution......find a better location. Thank you...

COREY Ktruck engine had no oil in it, very dirty under hood, full of mud and sand all around engine compartment, exhuast leak and loud raddle and scraping noise and service engine light stayed on during entire trip.
BRIAN BYour rental rates are not to bad, "your insurance rates are crazy. And you are frightened into taking the insurance, I seems like a money making scam". The Truck work Nice, And the people that waited on us are very freindly
