Looked like food had been splattered on the windshield and headlights. Busted glass and dirt in the cargo area. Wiper fluid reservoir was empty.

Terrible experience. Was sent to a separate lot, a long walk away. There was no attendant and I had to search a lot full of equipment for the truck. When I finally found it, it reeked of cigarette smoke. The gas tank was supposed to be half full, but there was only a quarter tank left. I drove 80,2 miles, but was charged for 566 miles! The quote was for $121.98, but I was charged $513.60. Clearly a mistake was made at one of the locations.

Located in residential area downtown, little no parking and equipment is several blocks away. Equipment had a lot of yard waste and peat moss in bottom of trailer. Returned trailer cleaner than when picked up.

The truck was a complete mess in the back and I had to clean it out myself. Trucks are kept in a different location. Directions to find the truck were very confusing. And my truck was blocked in by another truck and I had to call back to the office and wait for someone to come and move the other truck.

Let me address two things. I put "no" to personnel being helpful but that's not entirely true. Upon arrival the office door is locked and a distinct odor of marijuana is coming from the office. I pull on the door and start to walk away and a guy steps out and says "dropping off?" I tell him yes and he takes my keys. Before I can even speak again he is taking to the person behind me. I asked will I be getting a receipt for dropping off and he says "in less than a few hours you will get an email receipt." This made me uncomfortable but a woman standing outside said she is the owner and assured me that nothing will happen to the truck after we leave. Lay off the weed while working. I will recommend this location because the lady who spoke with us did not seem to just want us gone like the other employee

Just to warn future renters. When I returned the truck, a guy in white shirt came up to me as I was exiting the vehicle. Said he would check me off and I should give him the keys. I felt uneasy so did not. Went inside to finish my transaction. Turns out it was some random guy trying to steal the truck! I'm sure a college kid might be duped into this thinking it was legit way to hand in truck. I would put out an alert.

Returned after hours. After completing the self return and going to drop keys, found hand written note saying that trucks will be towed and fined if not parked in one of 5 spots (all full). Called the hand written number and the rude women on the phone told us we had to go and park the truck at a different lot a half mile away. So the pictures and odometer readings will all be off. Will not choose this location again or recommend it to anyone.

There were only five spots for drop off but they were all taken. I had to leave it in another spot that wasn't authorized. I wasn't the only one doing this. Lot was dark. Signs on the key drop box were rude and need to be made more friendly. They also need to tell customers what to do when the very few spaces are filled.

Tried to charge me over $100 for gas because they input the wrong fuel level. Location makes no sense. Also what are the chances that 3 different Deborah's had 5 star experiences here in the last 3 months? If you're going to pad your reviews, at least have the common sense to use different names.

We pulled into the lot away from the main office so we could make a phone call before dropping off the trailer. There was a man in a pickup truck who did not identify himself that just started yelling out of his window at us to follow him. We were on the phone call and could not interact with him so he drove around us and co time to yell out the window. We had to physically leave that location and return after making our call. When we returned the same man in the pick up instructed us to follow him to another location to back the trailer into a spot. He kept jumpin from one side to the other side of hitch while we were backing up! Our safety alarms were going nuts in the car. Very unprofessional

It was really difficult to get to the actual pick up and drop off location of the vehicle because it's blocks away from the actual building. There weren't very good instructions for finding the truck in the parked spot as it was surrounded by 30 other U-Haul trucks in a large storage unit lot. Also the car only had a quarter of a tank of gas.

You shouldn't charge $200 for just opening the door of the vehicle if people forgot the keys inside the vehicle by mistake which is insane.

Upon arrival to CJ’s Auto and Rentals I couldn’t find my reserved truck as CJ’s does not keep the vehicles on site, but, instead, requires you to walk nearly 0,5 miles away where they keep the trucks in a free lot.

The booking location is different from the truck pick-up location. I'm seeing such a process for the first time which is one of the most inefficient processes i have ever seen.

Rude service. Truck was not ready at time of pickup. Employee seemed annoyed I was looking for the truck on the premises despite the fact that no sign or instructions indicated where to go.

This location was a total sh*tshow from the start. It was not my original drop off location, but shortly before my return time the return was changed to this location (not my choice) with an email that stated "Per our conversation…", problem is that they never called me to discuss, so I have no clue what "conversation" they were referring to. When I dropped it off they told me to just leave the keys & they would have it closed out within 45 minutes, because they were helping another customer when I got there. It never happened so it took 8 calls, over 2 days, including multiple calls to corporate customer service and getting the regional manager involved, to get them to do the basics of their job and close out the rental. Extremely rude, shady, and dishonest as their story of what would happen (and when it would happen) changed with every phone call. Save yourself the aggravation and DO NOT do business with this location! I always rent from U-Haul when I have moving needs, but I've never had a place as bad as CJs Autos & Rentals. In the future I'll pay more than double before dealing with this location again.

We arrived at the location and were sitting in the car completing the lengthy check in process. While were doing that, someone came and moved the truck and locked it up. We had to call the customer service line and they were able to give us a different vehicle. However, we had rented a furniture dolly - since they moved the original truck, we did not have it with the new vehicle they gave us. I ended up paying the $15 rental AND had to run to Lowe's and paid $60 for a dolly!! Not pleased with the service at all.

I had to wait for 40 minutes to get the confirmation and then I had to walk 1 mile from the office to pick the vehicle and without any proper assistance from the staff

These guys were really nice in helping me figure out where to park the 26ft truck. I appreciate the extra time to remove my belongings due to the issues with the app. The charge of extra mileage was kind crappy though, considering I had to pick up my rental at a different location from where I originally chose, and had to add 20+ miles just to get to where the rental was needed.

Gentlemen at CJs were kind and easygoing. Parking lot was confusing - I felt bad just leaving the truck in a parking spot that it didn't fit in. Despite the obvious issue of returning the U-Haul (odometer issue), this location was great and I'll be renting from them again.

The manager was a really nice guy. He was working very hard and may even have been in a situation where he needed help. But he did the tasks quickly and professionally. It was a Saturday morning in a college town with lots of people moving students into town or across town. So to say he was busy is an understatement. Due to poor planning on my part I was going to be about 15 minutes late returning the unit. When I called I left a message. I assumed that I would be financially penalized for the late return but the manager was friendly and told me that it wasn't a big deal. My stepson is in a year lease and so I won't need the services again any time soon but I will return when ready. And recommend to others. The last time we used a different facility. No issues there but this was a much better experience. The last place when I walked into the office to return the unit the smell of marijuana almost choked me. I'm not a smoker and honestly don't care but it's definitely not a professional thing to have happening. I may be renting a motorcycle trailer soon and would love to use this facility possibly. Even though I'm over an hour away I may make the trek.

Rental equipment is stored several blocks away from the U-Haul office. Not sure what could be done about that but it was quite inconvenient for both pick-up and return.

They cancelled my U-Haul. I was forced to go all the way out to the Harrington location which is 30 minutes away. There was no indication that if I did not pick up my U-Haul within a certain time that my reservation would be cancelled. A completely inconvenient process, causing mileage and gas costs to go up when I rented another uhaul.

The person checking us in for pick up was not very helpful. We did not get any paperwork to have in the truck with us proving we rented it. It was in an email receipt that I had to ask for. The gas level was less than what the paperwork stated so we had to put more gas in it than we should have. They tried to charge us for 55 miles at 0,99 a mile. The error was corrected to 34 miles which was still more than what we used. We went less than 20 miles. We also served 5 dozen blankets. They didn't have any. It would have been nice if an email was sent to me about no blankets so I could make adjustments to protect my things. We use uhaul a lot and this was one of the worse experiences I have had with uhaul.

Have better directions to the location where the trucks are parked. Maybe tell people to put Jon's appliances in the GPS lol. Sorry you have to deal with not having your trucks at the same location as your office.

The only issue I have is that the rental location moved between the time I reserved the truck and when I picked it up. It seemed nobody was informed of this, and I had to go to another U Haul location to find out what was going on.

Where to begin, this was supposed to be an app pickup, the vehicle wasn't ready. It smelled like urine on the inside of the vehicle. It was disgustingly filthy. There was a crack in the windshield. I will rent from Budget in the future. Very disappointed that UHaul allows this.

This entire experience was a nightmare: 1) I was told that my initial location was not available and I was given a different location across town. 2) The second location did not have the truck and the employee or keys there. Instead he asked us to meet his roommate across town at a different, third location. 3) His roommate handed us a key and sped off. 4) We found that the key did not fit the truck. 5) There were homeless people staying in the truck and they left trash after we kicked them out. 6) The location did not answer our calls after 4 attempts, so I needed to drive back to the other location. 7) The employee there said someone else would meet us there and give us the key. 8) The other person gave us the key but refused to clean out the truck. If at all possible, I will not be using U-haul for any future moves.
