People were nice and helpful. First trailer we hooked up to leaked and it was raining. Got soaked hooking up trailer then had to change to another one. But that moved quickly. Overall not bad. It's just weird going to a pet food store to rent a trailer.

Super easy drop off location, just down the road from our new home. Very friendly staff with lots of local knowledge and willing to share recommendations for a good breakfast and lunch place, along with other area information.

I feel like the miles were not accurate and I called to see about it and no one called me back. Expected to pay around $75 and it ended up being well over $100. For one day to Pawleys island and to Myrtle Beach they said I drove 70 + miles and I know for certain that isn't accurate unless the speedometer is incorrect. I set my trip as I sat in the vehicle and registered 45 miles after I put 10 gallons of gas and they told me that it was half a tank when I got it and it was a half of tank when I dropped it off. No call backs to justify the big price increase.

No one took the time to explain anything to me about the trailer haul, etc. Also, the truck was the worst riding vehicle I've ever been in. It literally shook me silly for about 600 of the 1750 miles that I drove. Gave me headaches and an upset stomach from the extreme shaking.

Despite having notes inputted that our contract was extended for another day, this location called us 5 minutes after the original contact time wondering where it was because they had already rerented it, without inspection or input on things to be fixed, like the bad alinement. We were also charge almost 60 dollars for the extra day that we were told was at no cost to us. Again despite notes they never called uhaul in pick up location and customer service was poor at every turn. We move every couple years and this trip in total was the worst, the extra day charge was the real kicker considering everything we had go wrong.

The windshield could use a wipe down and the passenger seatbelt was not working but other than that is was perfect for moving our furniture.

This location has no indication they are a uhaul facility other than the trucks in their shared parking lot. It is extremely sketchy. It's a pet store that is mostly empty inside, making one wonder if it's some kind of front for something else. All employees we interacted with at this location had no customer service training and provided us with false information that ended up costing us extra mileage, time, and money. When I attempted to let the owner of this facility know about my complaints, he literally ignored me and gave no response, just proceeded with checking in the truck. I have never experienced less professionalism in my life. I understand this is uhaul, maybe I shouldn't expect a response to the words I am saying out of my mouth by someone who runs one of yalls facilities, but it was just shocking to be speaking to someone who had 0 % care about their business or uhauls. They didn't have any of our online information when we got there, we had to provide it all over again. They didn't have the truck we reserved nearly a week in advance, didn't have the dolly in the truck we added on to our online reservation, and then acted like I had 3 heads when I asked for one. Going forward, I will only ever use actual uhaul facilities that are clearly labeled as such. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to coastline pet supply in myrtle Beach SC for their uhaul needs or pet needs. I implore you to at the very least, send a uhaul employee in there at some point to evaluate them or something because they represent your company and do it poorly.

I rented a 4x8 trailer. When I arrived, only 5x8 trailers were available. On my way back the trailer came unhinged from my car and caused several thousand dollars worth of damage (nearly $4000!). Because I didn't purchase the extra insurance through U-Haul, they did nothing for me. I have rented U-Haul trailers for years, but I will never rent again. Even if it's their fault, if you don't buy the insurance, they will not back up their product. Beware!

this location has much sand and gravel in its parking area - there was sand in the driver compartment and in the cargo area. I know they try and keep them clean - but a wet mop might be needed to get some of it out instead of a broom. Otherwise, the vehicle needs its interior window cleaned.

I was given a vehicle that was filthy. Cabot self contained cigars women's products and Food wrappers including potato chip bag. It is obvious that this location does not inspect vehicles nor do they clean up the cabs. I had to wipe off the grime from the instrument cluster and other areas of the vehicle. The rims Had large clumps of corrosion that have been painted over. Rims were dented in multiple areas and The front brakes were in desperate need of service. They squealed every time you tap the brakes. Right turn signal was out on the front of the vehicle, there was a wire hanging from the steering column. Steering was loose. It is a good thing I was doing local driving and not taking this on A long trip. I would've turned it in immediately. As for the quality of service I received, pick up was relatively normal. As Soon as I was finished with the vehicle I brought it back in at approximately 6 PM on the same day I rented it. I mentioned all of these problems to the staff and I was surprised at the answer I received. Effectively I was told yeah so what? When I asked for my receipt I was gruffly told you'll get it in email tomorrow. This surprised me, as the business was still open the sign said open and people were still coming in and out of the pet store/rental location. No compensation was offered no apology was offered no concern for the vehicles condition was shown. I will not be patronizing their location in the future. And will not recommend them to anyone. In fact I will diss recommend them. This is not the product quality nor service quality one should continue to expect from U-Haul. We have used your services quite a bit in the past. My only hope is that this is not what I can expect from U-Haul in the future.

There was black dog hair all over the passenger seat, the middle seat, and the surrounding surfaces in the cab. When I showed this to one of the workers and asked for a discount since the truck clearly hadn't been cleaned, she scowled at me and said she couldn't do that. I've used uhaul many times before but this was disgusting! Everything else with the truck was fine but it definitely ruined the start of my trip. I ended up going somewhere to clean it because I didn't want to get hit with a charge for the truck not being clean. Oh and there was a big piece of cardboard that had also been left in the cab. Also, the employees I interacted with definitely acted like they either don't like their jobs or they had somewhere else better to be. I was in the shop for almost 20-30 minutes before actually getting the keys to the truck. I picked the location for convenience but it was not worth it at all. I will be using another uhaul location for the future. I do NOT recommend using this uhaul location.

The truck messed up! The damn thing would not change gears. Started off in a high gear and would not shift. The instrument cluster was acting up. Speedometer either said zero or shot back and forth in different directions! I returned truck and had to rent another one from another company. They said they would fully refund me. I even put $20 in gas. They didn't refund me. They charged me miles and gas. Terrible service. I will NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN! I hope U-Haul refunds me properly.

I have rented from this same location on numerous occasions and always had a great experience. This last time however, the girl working at the counter was extremely rude to not only me but other customers in the store. I initially walked in and asked if there were any rentals available for the day and she said they were all booked. I walked out to my car, pulled up the website, made a reservation, and walked back in to tell her there was a truck available for me. She then argued with my confirmation and tried to tell me that my rental was for the next day to which I had to break it down and show her that the next day is the return date. She then huffed and puffed and gave me the key. I'd like to rent from them again but I will definitely ask for someone else to assist me.

I was aggravated to get gas after half the trip I had to get gas. The tow/haul light was on and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off which made driving feel strained on the truck. Besides that the employees were really nice and helpful!

The girls at the counter were rude & dismissive. I was waiting outside by the door for my friend & one of them said rudely what do you want. Once I walked in I asked for a printed receipt & was told no email, I said can I please have a physical receipt & she spoke slower & said NO EMAIL! She said you can go & you'll get a bill or receipt later. I asked if I owe anything now, can we please walk through the truck now. She said no we don't do that. I asked to please let me know know if I owe anymore cause I'm on a budget & she told her coworker I guess you have to go outside. When she came back I asked if I was ok, she ignored me so I asked again & she said huffed & told me rudely do you see she's checking the computer. I was surprised at how I was spoken to & treated. This location is in a pet store with live animals. I asked for a price on something & she was huffing that she had to answer. Really was disdissapointed with the service there

We think our Truck number was 2573. Driver's side floor full of dried mud before stepped the cab. If there was power steering, it was not working. The load we carried was only about 20 % if capacity. The miles we were charged seemed correct. However, the mpg was 8. This vehicle needed maintenance. The main issue was about being charged a complete additional day for returning this poorly maintained truck @ 6:08pm. We rented @ 5:38pm on the previous day. I called at 4:04pm asking for an extension or grace knowing that I faced additional traffic and adversities that delayed my timely return to the location. Returning @ 6:08pm, this facility charged me an additional full daily rate of $29.99. I learned this was likely in my call @ 4:04pm. When I checked my receipt and saw the total it took my breath away. $167.21. Is it unreasonable to consider a "late fee" for returns less than 1 hour over due? I will search other options for a daily truck rental in the future after several years considering your company as fair and dependable - my opinion has changed. No response from you will guaranty a negative review of this Uhaul vendor.

I needed the truck early Sunday morning, this location doesn't open until 12pm on Sunday. I was told the mileage was $0.69. I had to pick up the keys Saturday. Two days later I get a bill and was charged $0,99 a mile, doesn't sound like a lot but it's almost a $50 difference. My advice, have them print the receipt, the encourage email so they don't have to deal with complaints.

Person checking me out did not even look at the truck with me or make sure I was comfortable using it. Just walked out the door said “it's the one at the end of the driveway” and walked back inside. The latch on the back of the truck sticks and was really hard to open and when the door is open it gets stuck on a piece of metal sticking out at the top. WAs given the truck with only 1/4 tank of gas. They have been full any other time I've rented. Trash in the cab and filthy. When I returned the truck the guy told me I needed to put more gas in it and then bring it back…..I had put gas in it and it was back at the 1/4 line like when I picked it up. I told him that and offered to give him the gas receipt and he just walked off without apologizing or saying a word. Moved my stuff into storage and will need to rent a truck again when I move into my new house. Not sure I will use uhaul again after this experience.

You should not assume that someone wants an upgrade. When you make a reservation for certain equipment, it's confirmed at that location, you should be able to pick it up. This is in reference to the Car City, SC location. The person that answers the phone could be friendlier and someone available for the hours posted.

The vehicle we rented had A LOT of miles on it and it drove like a "bowl of soup". The steering was all over the place I know they are rental vehicles and fleet trucks but safety should come 1st Other than that the 400 miles we drove...it moved our stuff. And that's the name of the game.
