CINDY LI was not informed that the doors auto lock when the kids are in the ignition and car running. I stepped out of the car for all of 4 mins and the car locked!! My dog was in the car for 2,5 hours before someone finally was able to come help me. I went back to the store I rented the van from and they didn't have a spare key! Instead I was given a card for the area manager. I did call road side assistance and they quoted it at 3 hours!!! The area manager came in 20 mins! That was the only good outcome. I didn't receive anything for the inconvenience of the keys locking in the van! Which they should have disclosed when a customer is renting a vehicle!

Cindy AAugust, the staff member that helped me at the Compass Self Storage on Van Dyke in Shelby Township, was possibly the rudest staff person who has ever "helped" me. I've never had someone raise their voice at me and talk to me like I was stupid after asking questions to clarify the return policy for the vehicle's keys. Extremely unprofessional and I will not be going back.

TERRANCE AThe process of getting the vehicle with mobile checkout was brutal. I originally thought I would pick up the vehicle at 8am, and my schedule shifted so that 8:45am was what I needed. At that point your online app sucked. That is a mild description. After 30 minutes of fighting it and waiting for call back assistance, finally enough time had passed that the local workers started arriving.
John OAshley was absolutely incredible and deserves all the raises and bonuses she can get. I'm moving due to a break up and she was so very sweet and empathetic. It was like I was talking with a best friend when I got the uhaul. Incredible customer service. And I've worked in customer service for 10 years!

Kenneth SI had gotten a call that morning to change the location of my pick up or drop off I can't remember my mom recently passed and I'm sad a lot so when I got there and it wasn't right in the computer. Christine right away saw that I was stressed out and fixed everything for me and made all the changes that I had already gotten three calls about today from the team that was calling me. And then where I dropped it off on Mound in Shelby Township there was a gentleman their name RYDER who could not have been Any kinder. So even though the reservation was changed by the company it wasn't in the computer right but I was glad that I had worked with Christine and Ryder both employees deserve a great recommendation. And I was given a deal on the price for moving the location so the truck worked well and even though there was a little bit of confusion with the change that you guys had called me to make it all worked out great and yes I would recommend you because of Christina at Compass and Ryder at the storage place on Mound in Shelby

Maurita MInspect vehicles for more than are they returned with fuel in them. Van was not washed/cleaned it had dried mud inside and out. We had to sweep out dirt and fertilizer out of the entire back of the van before use. We had returned expensive items to Grosse Pointe Mi. Didn't look good on u-hauls part pulling up in a dirty muddy u-haul van. We expected more from u-haul especially with a veh that only had 38k miles on it.
Raymond MThere were no supplies in the truck, I was told there would be a dolly and moving blankets. I was charged for insurance I didn't sign up for and wasn't even asked about. I was quoted $29 plus $.99/mile. No insurance ever mentioned. I have car insurance, I didn't need insurance from you. You should refund that charge.

Mary GThey are super stars!!! What I suggest you do??? Give them raises between Jennifer and August they never stopped running around. Customers very demanding and they don't want to necessarily wait around for the customer that came in before them to be completed taken care of; because it's would I have a question. But, your team, works it with smiles all around as they run.. well you know maybe more a fast stride. I do mean this very very much. I worked in customer service for 25 years, and I was saying to myself like these two "have it". Some people you can train over, over and over and over and they still don't have those quick "kind" people solving skill sets. Again, they are 12 out of 10!!' Kudos to the team on VanDyke in Shelby Township. Got an idea, told you I worked in customer service for so long. Well, I don't know how often a "regional or district" manager has to come by and check out his/ her stores/locations. Well save his/her gas money and give to them as bonus money; no one needs to check up on them. They should be the people that train the rest of your locations. Well, hopefully you will read this and acknowledge them in some way. Cash is KING. And by the way…. They sell, sell, sell…. In a nice gentle way. Stephen SThis is more of a review of Uhaul National Roadside Assitance and not the rental storage facility. The truck had a small fuel leak that I didn't notice until I got to my loading destination. I don't think it was the rental location's fault as the truck appeared to be from Arizona. According to a sticker on the driver's side door it had been inspected in August of 2022. I called the number provided in my agreement to tell them about the leak as I didn't want to be liable for it. I was on hold for at least 30 minutes. The road side assistance at Uhaul National was not great. The people I actually spoke to were fine. They were polite and probably did all they could but the Roadside Assistance system is broken. It took over an hour for them to find a replacement and then told me it would be at my location in 240 minutes (4 hours!). So I had to stop loading the truck as I thought was getting a replacement. Uhaul national roadside tried to find a different truck and, 90 minutes later, said that another truck wasn't coming. Instead, a tow truck would be at my location in 90 minutes to tow the truck and take me to my unloading destination. So I was sitting there doing nothing for over 4 hours due to not knowing if or when another truck was coming! Luckily it was just me doing the work. What if I had a large group of people there to help me load and I would have wasted their entire day? I finished loading the truck. The tow truck finally showed up and we went to my unloading destination. I unloaded the truck and then the tow truck came back and took the truck away. The next day I got a call from Compass Self Storage asking me where the truck was. Uhaul didn't call them and tell them their truck had been towed somewhere. Compass Self Storage is fine. The service was fast and even though my rental was a last minute reservation they were accommodating and did nothing wrong.

Hector AI scheduled my pick up online for the 24 seven option when I went there at 8:30 in the morning logged in and it told me that I was a hand delivery vehicle which it was NOT supposed to be. Therefore I had to wait till 930 until the office open to pick up my vehicle
lydia sThis is not against Compass they were great! I rented my equipment for Mocksville NC, Uhaul had me pick it up in Winston NC then routed me to Denton NC. This was the worst experience I have ever had! I will never use Uhaul again.
