This process was made 100x more difficult than it needed to be. I reserved a truck at a location 5 blocks from my home for 9AM. The evening before I was told this location did not have early pick up, so I would have to wait until 11AM on Saturday to pick up the truck. Fine, whatever. At 1030AM the morning of pickup, I was told this location still did not have my truck and I would have to take a 20 $Uber to a location 30 mins away because of horrible traffic that time of day because its now later. Also, I was told I could have had this truck at 9, my original time. Complete bullshit, the woman at the Belmont location was lovely but I got dicked around way too much. The compensation was adding miles, which is what should have been done anyway cos I had to go so much further to get the truck. Really annoying and just bad communication. How can a location not be available until 11 on a Saturday?James C.

It would be appreciated if all of the fee information were clearer. Why not just charge a larger flat rate instead of luring people with the nominal 19,95 $ and astronomical 0,89 $ per mile. 49,99 $ minus the hidden fees would still put the company ahead of the game. Just limit the mileage. I can just imagine how many unsuspecting patrons are shocked at the final bill. Otherwise, my experience was pleasant. The staff was very nice.Rhonda R.

The first truck had some severe issue with the body and I had to return it after driving 1 mile. The second truck was mechanically sound but so filthy that once night came, it was extremely hard to see out of the windshield. The staff were friendly and polite.Ogden M.

It would be great if the location worked with Uhaul to offer extended rentals on their moving trucks. For many people 24 hours is not enough time, and Uhaul should value the customer over profit and allow extended rentals instead of just pushing their U-pods. I need a rental for 29 hours, not multiple days.Christian L.
Scheduled pick up online. Got no confirmation call. Went to pick up equipment at designated time and was told no trucks were available. Had to wait an additional hour for a truck to be ready. In addition, they didn't have the correct information about my requested truck size, even though my online account information was correct.David L.

Radfordt at the 1300 Belmont Ave store provided great customer service from rental pick-up to drop-off!! When I was returning the truck, two customers ahead of me were refusing to wear masks. Radfordt calmly reasoned with them and encouraged them to go down the street to purchase a mask. They gave him a hard time and he persisted, holding his ground, to keep the rest of us customers safe. I truly appreciated his efforts, in-light of the highly contagious COVID pandemic. I can imagine how hard it must have been for Radfordt to advocate for our safety given the rude and ignorant nature of the unmasked patrons.EMILY W.

Excellent staff. But the pricing and the overall quality of this place needs major improvement. There's no way customers should be responsible for scrapes and dents on a vehicle that is primarily used for moving items that are both heavy and cumbersome. The staff was rude and unhelpful. They essentially blamed me for their technology not working and refused to answer my question about how much additional mileage would cost. She didn't bother to check to make sure everything was working properly or explain any of the info that was stuck to the wall. This was the worst experience i have ever received. I will never rent another U-haul in the future. You have lost a consistent customer for terrible customer service. The truck was filthy and the gas gague or the condition of the truck was never verified by the associate and me as the customer. They claim that the gas was less when how can they even ascertain that info when they never inspected the truck at anytime while signing it out .I am looking for my refund of the gas portion that was mischarged. The first call approved it that I made and there has been no communication or refund with me for 2 in half months. I keep calling and no one responds. I now want a complete refund on everything. I am in the hotel business and customer service is very important to us and your customer service is very poor. My reservation was cancelled, and wasn't given any explanation as to why. Although the young lady at the front desk did get me a truck from a person that had just returned one, but to have my reservation canceled with no notice was a problem. I arrived a few minutes past my pick up time because of traffic, & had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Smh.Stefon H.
It is always a pleasure to rent from Compass Self Storage at 1300 Belmont Ave. Whenever I rent from this location the customer service is impeccable! The staff are all very welcoming and personable. The two young ladies at the front desk are very precise and detailed with the information and instructions regarding the UHAUL rental process. This location has always made sure that the trucks are clean and ready to go with or without a reservation. If they do not have vehicles available they assist you in finding other locations that can accommodate your needs.
