I was originally scheduled to pick up the trailer in Tuscaloosa, Al where my daughter goes to school but was contacted a couple days in advance stating that there were no trailers available (very dissappointed that late in the game as I scheduled well in advance). The lady who contacted me setup for me to pickup the trailer in Warrior, Al which was on the way but forced me to change my schedule. The Corner Food & Fuel is no longer a Uhaul station. The lady working there was very nice but told me I had to call corporate and setup checking in my equipment myself. I needed a special plug to connect my truck to my trailer that I was going to preorder but didn't and this location has nothing as it is just a gas station. So I had to drive 20 minutes away to get the plug. Also, the trailer tongue was sitting on the ground and I had to manually lift the trailer tongue to connect it. I made it all work but was a real disruption.

No one to assist in getting the trailer off the truck. Man at the store just walked out with me and stopped at the corner of the store and just pointed saying park it by a post but not too close to the fence and not too far in front of the pole. No offer to help lift it off the truck. Didn't even want it dropped off. Said he quit participating months ago. NOT MY PROBLEM. Dropped off at the business my contract said to. MORE ABOUT WHINING THAN HELPING THE CUSTOMER

I got my rental reserved for a place in warrior got stood up said he will be their in 39 minutes never showed up was glad to get a rental at corner rd and I made sure the gas was where it was when I got it and still got charged 38 dollars for gas in I put 30 in gas into the truck SMH so I didn't get a good experience just got took in advantage of the situation.

This location was fine and the people were nice, however, this location was not a Uhaul supplier and it was over 45 minutes from my house. Also there were no supplies on the truck that I had rented like dolly, blankets and utility dolly, which had been paid for. I had called to reserve the truck on June 10th and pick up was on July 29 and they had no truck near my home and no supplies. When I called to tell them that there were no supplies on the truck she told me that she would find me a location that had them and when my boyfriend went there to pick them up the worker there said they had been out for over 2 weeks. She said that they lie to customers and tell them what they want to hear, so they don't have to listen to them complain over the phone. I will never rent from Uhaul again.

I find it humerous that you refer to me in your form letter as "valued customer". I don't believe that you value your customers in any way. Your customer service is terrible as I will illustrate in the following story which I am sure no one will read. I reserved a 10 foot truck at 7:00 a.m. in Birmingham, Alabama. The reason I reserved the truck for 7:00 a.m. was because I had to drive it 9 hours back to Jacksonville, Florida that day and wanted to start early. When I arrived at the location to pick up the truck, the attendant told me that they did not have a truck for me. She stated that this was my "requested" location but I would have to drive to Center Point to pick up a truck. Let me pause here to say to you "requested" locations which have no trucks should not exist. So I drove to Center Point 15 minutes across Birmingham. The attendant at Center Point also stated that she did not have a truck for me. She said that our truck had not been turned back in by the previous renter. I pointed out that she had three 10 foot trucks on her lot. She told me that those were not "one way trucks". I want to pause here to Point out that this is where you fail as a business to care for your client's needs. In the event that the one way truck is not at the lot and several equal sized trucks are, then the customer should be given a truck to drive and the burden should be placed on the company. That is how you treat a "valued" customer. Instead I was told I would have to drive 45 minutes out of town to a place called Warrior, Alabama to pick up my truck. When I said this would not do, she rattled off a phone number for me to call and was done trying to help. It was really not her fault. Your employees at these sites are purposely given no power to do anything to help. Another way you do not value your customers. I called the number and spoke to an individual whom I can only refer to as the worst customer service representative I have ever spoken to. I explained my problem and she answered by rattling off the address of the U-Haul location in Warrior, Alabama. I said, "Ma'am, this is 45 minutes away. I have already been to 2 locations and have been delayed an hour and she again said louder, "Sir! Your truck is at 2940 Corner Rd in Warrior, Alabama!" Every attempt to reason with this person was stone walled by her repeating the address and at no point apologizing or even pretending to want to help. So with no other option, at 8:15 a.m., an hour and fifteen minutes past my reservation time, I began a 45 minute drive to a farm town called Warrior, Alabama where I eventually came to a small gas station with two, older trucks sitting in the grass on the side of the building. Both trucks were significantly larger than 10 feet. I entered the gas station and the young lady at the counter had to call her manager who was down the street. Apparently the manager drives down to the station only when she is needed. 15 minutes later the manager arrives. She is kind and helpful, but has a hard time uploading my license. After fifteen minutes of this, my daughter helped her upload my license, she gives me the wrong key, runs out of the station, jumps in her car and speeds away. I go outside and realize the key opens the 26 foot van. I go back in and the young lady behind the counter rummaged around and found the other key to the 20 foot van (again... much larger than 10 feet). Now I begin the 45 minute drive back to Birmingham to begin loading my daughter's things to move her back to Jacksonville. We start loading up around 10:30, three and a half hours after we should have had a truck. We wound up leaving Birmingham at noon. The truck was loud and the transmission screamed the whole way back to Jacksonville. I put about $300 worth of gas in the truck just to get it back and turn it in with the correct amount of fuel (I hold up my end of bargains). When I turned in the truck I told the attendant at the Jacksonville location all about this debacle and without ever making eye contact with me, he just shrugged and said, "Well, that's Alabama for you." My wife complained about what happened on your Facebook page, and she said that U-Haul gave us a $50 credit. A $50 credit. $50 is more insulting than if you just told us to go jump in a lake. I come home $800 in the hole plus hours of wasted time I will never get back along with anger and frustration and knots in my shoulders from driving that jalopy of a truck in the rain 9 hours back to Jacksonville, and you throw $50 at us? I will never use U-Haul ever again. I have never been treated so poorly or felt so dissatisfied with a service as I have with your fumbling of my truck rental. I don't expect anyone will read this whole letter, and I don't expect a genuine response. I just wanted it on some sort of record that your policies are in no way customer service oriented and your employees are uncaring at best. You should remove "valued customer" from your form letter. It just feels like a sick joke. If anyone does read this, I hope you feel ashamed. This company has surely gone down hill.

The location was at a very rural convenience store where you park a vechile on side of building and drop keys in a box. Was told to use online check in. Using link from email website sucks. No better way to describe it. It kept telling us something wrong on your side, keep trying. Called, but no one could help. Kept saying to go online. Finally my daughter said, try looking for an APP. It worked. We spent an hour just trying to return it. All in the rain.

Trailer was very dirty upon pick up. No one at the location at scheduled time of pick-up and had to wait several minutes to complete the transaction over the phone. Also messed up my drop off location while completing the transaction over the phone.

When we arrived there was no one there who knew how to check out the truck. When the person arrived 10 minutes later she didn't have her tablet with her so she had to fumble around with her phone to check us out. Had to renter my credit card information that had already been entered online. Then they didn't have the furniture pads we order so we had to go to another location to pick them up. Overall probably added an hour to the pickup process.

No fault of the location: but this truck was delivered filthy! There was the previous renter's garbage in the cab, the previous renter also smoked like a chimney in this truck! There was cigarette ashes all over the cab and cigarette butts all over the floor. Also I DID NOT get the appliance dolly I really needed to rent and had ordered. One was suppose to come with the truck and the location did not have one, but they were very kind and let me borrow a little cart that I was to move things with. As far as the location goes, they did a good job. But whoever was in charge of delivering the truck to location, also had the responsibility of cleaning the cab (and NOT smoking in it!) BEFORE they delivered it and they forgot to put the appliance dolly in the truck, That person or persons dropped the ball. And if these are the kind of slobbish, lazy, filthy pigs that you have maintaining your vehicles and representing your name and company then y'all have really gone down the drain.

There was no internet in the area and the place that I picked the truck up from didn't have a computer so it was very hard for me top pull things up on my phone. After I got the truck, discovered while filling up the gas tank that there was no oil in it not to mention me coming from Ohio to pick the truck up in Bessemer, Ala but had to go 25 miles to get it and then another place to pick up the car dolly. It wasn't a good experience for me.

I returned the truck 3hr early, clean and more fuel than it had when I picked it up, then I received no help on returning the truck at this location an plus I was over charged! An I'm waiting to be refunded!! This location was very dirty, no customer service an not professional at all, so no I'm not at all happy!!

They moved my pick up place from 5 miles from house to 28 miles from my house then I went over 25 miles on my actual move, they charged me when it’s their fault that they changed my pick up place 28 miles so that’s extra gas in an hour and 24 minutes round-trip to pick up the truck when it should’ve been 5 miles down the road

I tried to get a military discount for this u haul for over a week, I stayed on hold for more than 2 hours on two seperate occassions and never got to talk with anyone. I was told that I could get a 15 percent discount for moving my daughter from alabama to kansas for a military move and never recieved or had the opportunity to speak with anyone

The location wash 20 miles away from my original pick location. The truck was dirty. It had a dolly, moving mate and a grill from a Chevrolet pick up in the back of the cab.

I Dropped off my truck early and was told I would get an e-mail within an hour the day after my truck was due I had to call u-haul to verify that the truck was indeed accepted as returned. Uhaul had to contact them to get my contract closed it . the contact shows the wrong return dates but it is at least finally closed out.

We returned our trailer to the location indicated on our contract. When we arrived the clerk at the convenience store asked us to back the trailer in a space that would have been to short for that length trailer. I explained that there was one adequate space for us to park but it was blocked by a pickup truck. She had the person who also worked in the store, move his truck so we could park. That took 10 minutes. And they were rude about it. The next thing she told me was she didn't have us returning our trailer there. I showed her my receipt on my phone. She then found it on her computer. Second, she would not come outside to inspect our trailer because she said it was drizzling rain and said she wouldn't be able to come out until it stopped raining. I explained that the rain may not stop and I was leaving the trailer with her. I also told her she would have to figure out checking us in. We were leaving. I informed her that I would call UHaul and let them know we returned the trailer. I also took a photo. Terrible customer service!

I rented uhual under my name, some how it wound up in my girlfriend name. The equipment I reserved wasn't available, truck was dirty, received wrong dolly, rental process was slow, and this made return harder than it had to be.

Better customer service. When we picked up the truck it had McDonald's garage in the cab. You go to check the truck back and they tell you oh I don't do that you can just park it. They charge you for a cleaning and the truck was clean I will never use U-Haul again

The rental location and drop off was great. Dealing with U-Haul was the problem. Completely a headache and lack of proper communication. Definitely have room to improve their quality of customer service.

The man who is the "third party" person was extremely rude and not helpful. Wouldn't take my confirmation number to pull up the correct rental information. I had to wait for over an hour and a half to even get the uhaul because they parked it in a field and it was stuck in mud. This is after I had to wait for them to call someone else to find my information. Horrible and would never tell anyone to go here.

Make sure the facility that is working for you has more than one person that is knowledgeable in returns of the Uhaul equipment! I was charged an additional day because the lady that was there did not know how to do a return on a Uhaul! NOT GOOD!

Had truck at $29,95 a day for 2 days with 99 cents a mile. Ended up getting charged 3 different charges for $25, $103, and $195. Got the truck with 3/4 fuel and returned it a little over that. Looked up every number I could find to question and one was a non working number and the other busy for the 45 min I tried it. Do not give your card info to this store!!! Oh, and the move was from Morris to Warrior, not long distance. Still can't get in touch with anyone.
