The personnel at the site were really friendly and helpful. The only issue that I experienced was not with the people, but apparently was an electronic glitch, because I couldn’t get back into the website, due to not receiving the initial email that contained the verification code. Other than that everything was great.

On the second rental that I had, 11/23, I didn't get the two dollies I had rented. Unfortunately, I didn't remember either so I wasted $20.

Not give them the run around twice both times I rented a trailer within 2 weeks of each other. I had a reservation local then u haul tried switching me to a location over an hour away after the local dealership had already called saying my unit was available for pickup. Your local guy is the only u haul employee that I respect. Last time I EVER RENT A U HAUL. Poor service poor check in procedure. U haul is as unprofessional as every step If the way rating for UHaul -10

We had a delayed pick up time because the computer system was down. We were scheduled to pick up the moving truck at 9:00am but we’re not able to get it until closer to 2:00. Although this caused us to delay the closing of our house, the representative, Anthony could not have been more helpful or accommodating. This was not a problem caused by U-Haul but they made every effort to help us. Anthony gave us two extra days, extra mileage, and easy drop off instructions at our final destination. Anthony was kind, helpful and really worked hard to help us. We will defiantly use U-Haul in the future and are happy to recommend this company to our friends and family. Thank you for making a difficult situation a bit easier!

My location was changed 2 days before my move due to equipment availability. There were only 9 furniture pads in the truck instead of the 24 i ordered

The full $100 hold is still on my account. My card company said they cannot release the funds until uhaul lifts the hold. Uhaul says the hold is lifted. So im out $100 dollars. Im not happy at all.

I could not tie down my car on the auto transport, so an employee did this portion for me. I did not receive the 10 blankets that I reserved, I went back after to pick up the auto transport and notified them that the blankets were missing. They gave me dirty blankets....because they could not find clean ones and they were preparing to close for the day. I asked for a refund instead and they weren’t sure how to do that. When I originally made the reservation at U-Haul on the phone, I reserved a 15 foot truck with an auto transport. Two days before I was to pick up the U-Haul, I received a call that they had a 10 foot truck for me. I immediately called them back because I needed a 15 ft truck for my move from NY to Kentucky. A 10 foot truck would not have enough room for my furniture etc. this was a one-way move so I could not go back to pick up additional items later. I was informed it was a 10 foot truck or a cargo van. That they had nothing else to offer me. The location was nearly a half an hour away from my home. I had to take the truck to my home then turn around and drive back to pick up the auto transport after it was loaded because equipment was not completely ready for me. Because of the additional miles I went over what they allotted me at reservation, which caused me to be billed additional fees. Approximately halfway through my trip to Kentucky I pulled into a gas station, I checked my vehicle on the auto transport after a trucker pointed out to me that my vehicle was not actually secured and I noticed the driver side tether on the tire was completely off and the passenger side tire tether was loose and the ratchet strap device was not locked on the auto transport itself. The trucker and another individual assisted me in securing my vehicle on the trailer. I am highly upset with the entire experience. I have never had an issue renting with U-Haul in the past. I spent over $1200 to move and had to leave much of my furniture behind. I would like someone to follow up with me.

You can employ people to staff your locations AT ALL TIMES. Not only did I not know—nor was I told—that I would have to access a key lockbox when I arrived at the site where U-Haul had sent me (and mind you, this was a SECONDARY location at a more distant point that they gave me when my first reservation fell through), I found myself helping ANOTHER customer at the place where I returned the truck. This second customer needed to attach a DOLLY to their 20-foot truck. There was NO ONE TO HELP HER DO THIS at 5:30pm on a Sunday, when whatever economic contingencies dictate that the place be unstaffed, so, after searching YouTube I helped this woman attach the dolly to her truck and got her vehicle secured to it. She was weeping as I did this, since she was there with her TWO SMALL CHILDREN and one tiny dog, grateful someone could help her as she was fleeing an ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP. She spoke to her parents on the phone, telling them, “Without the help of these strangers, I’d have to return to a place without a bed or food” and likely worse. It took me at least an hour to sort out for her—something that could’ve been done by an employee in under ten minutes. She had five hours to travel last night, and I hope she made it. We both agreed that U-HAUL IS THE WORST.

People were very helpful and nice, BUT I was given wrong information over the phone about what I was getting. Definitely suggest reserving in person not over the phone. The van that I used desperately needed a brake job.

The contract I received at the time of rental had the location I wanted to drop the rental off to, New Church, VA. But on 06/16/2019 I received a text stating I had to take the rental to another location when I called to ask why, I was told that New Church, VA should not have been an option when I rented (pre-paid also) on line. I was first told I had to take it over an hour away from where I was. If I had violated the mutually agreed upon contact there would be fines/penalties to be paid. I kept my end of the contract, picking it up at the location and dropping it off on the agreed date. Your end did not keep your end of the contact by causing me to drive further than the agreed upon location. What fines/penalties will be awarded to me? I may not use Uhaul every day, but I have used Uhaul several times in the past, not happy about the breach of contract.
