You need to coordinate better with your locations. Seems like they play games when customers who are renting one way trucks. The first location I booked with said they didn’t have enough trucks, so they upgraded me to next size for same price and sent me another location. Then the second location is not aware of the fact that it’s a one way rental. Seems like the first location did this to avoid not getting a truck back. There were two of us renting trucks and both of us were referrals to the second location. Both of us were one way rentals. This issue needs to be addressed, these locations are playing games at the customers expense. I agreed to change with out knowing this. I ended hanging to drive out of my way and then didn’t get the one way rental. I could see the owner of the store where I picked up my truck had no idea what had been done to him. So we figured it out. Truck was good, owner was good. The games the original rental location played is unacceptable and it happens to two customers on the same day, how often does this happen. I will look at other companies next time. Need to be better

The Belleville MI location is a bit out of the way from Ann Arbor (my fault for waiting so long to make a reservation), but the staff was efficient and helpful.

Our initial pick up location was at a u-haul location. A few days before the scheduled pick up I received a call wanting to change the location. I agreed thinking it would be at a different u haul center. It turned out to be a grocery store that had one truck sitting there. We were serviced by a clerk at the store who obviously didn't know what he was doing. He did not go with us to inspect the truck. Our concerns that the truck had been in a previous accident were answered with a a'we know that and its marked. As we had no other options and were under a time deadline we took the truck.

First, I was supposed to pick up and drop truck back off at a location central to where I was moving to and from. Then the day before they changed my location to a new place WAY out of my way due to the fact there was a festival going on nearby and I had to take a LONG route around it because the roads were closed. So my mileage increased by over 10 miles!!!! When I said it was going to be over the miles, a man at the pick up location said they would knock the $39.95 down to $29.95 for the inconvenience. That never happened because my bill still showed $39.95 for that charge. ON TOP of EVERYTHING I filled the tank up to a little over a quarter- where it was when i picked it up- and got stuck in traffic just before the uhaul drop of location and it slid back a hair down to a quarter tank. Uhaul charged me for TWO GALLONS of gas because it wasnt dead on the line anymore!!! I AM PISSED and I want a resolution. I had an exrremely pleasant interaction with the original pick up location at pro hardware in belleville, but unfortunately their truck broke down, which i understand. so i had to use the horrible place at 9090 rawsonville rd. - which put me way out of the way and way over miles especailly since i had to go around a huge festival that shut down the city and i was on the other side of it now, whereas before i had a quick easy back way out and could have avoided it much easier, saving gas and mileage. my bill should have been around $75. NOT over $100!!! Please make this right U-Haul, if you value your business. I don't mind leaving great reviews for great follows up and fixing problems. This was hands down nickel and dime robbery- I have never had an experience like this- that gas tank especiaally was really shady. That line was barely off and youre going to charge 2 gallons? outrageous. It would be nice if you would leave the trucks all filled up so there is no discrepenancy also- do you realize how hard it is to get it right on the mark? Please fix this problem. I will be calling if I do not hear back from anyone soon.
