It was like no other experience ever. The transaction had to be done on the telephone prior to me arriving at the location which was a residential house. On returning the truck the lady had me take photos of the truck instead of her coming out of her house and doing the check out process Then once I told her I was finished this was the worst experience ever with renting a uhaul. I was charged over $200. There was no gas when I first rented the truck. She increased the mileage on my bill also. I rented the truck in Matteson. I live in Matteson and I only went to Steger Il less than 20 miles. She put more miles but if she needed that money that bad. I will gift it to her broke ass. If she uses my credit card in any way , my dad is an attorney and I will sue her and uhaul because it is unbelievable that she is a representative of your franchise I have rented trucks in the past and never have I experienced this before

It’s great when customers are allowed to share their experiences of the company they decided to do business with , but it’ becomes balanced when the company also provides the actual terms of the contract or agreement along with the customer reviews so that all others reading the customers reviews of the experience have the opportunity to see how that same customer interacted with that business and the terms of the interaction WITHOUT sharing the personal information of that same customer. It gives the reader the opportunity to see both sides of the experience and make an informed decision. So if that customer lied or didn’t include key information or just exaggerated the experience, the actual agreement/contract terms and notes of interactions will clearly provide an objective point of reference as a source to the reader. As a rule I always remember that there are two sides to all stories and as human beings, let’s make a conscious effort to do and say things “as it is” and non of what we want to make it out to be for whatever the reasons

Very unprofessional. I have rented several U-Haul in the past this has been the worst experience. For starters the pickup is not at an establishment, but it is at a house. After being called/texted about my eta to pickup I arrive, where Denise (worker) was sitting in the truck waiting for me. I had previously set up the reservation online the way I wanted it. Denise added the safe insurance as well as changed the timing I could have truck, because “somebody needs it right after you” When asked to remove it back like the online reservation she said people get online get confused but will remove. She never removed it and then charged my account $40 more dollars for an after hour fee. Which was never mentioned to me. She said she was closing early today and when I got the truck they were closed. She just waited for me. Again this is all after she kept charging my card. Without authorization. All while I’m trying to get my truck rental finalized, she was trying to sell me tea and food she also sells from this house. (Creative tea cafe) Do not use her business unless you want to be scammed.

The woman that works for this small shop and decided to service uHaul does not have the best service. Initially upon answering the phone she had An attitude. So much so where I searched other nearby uHaul facilities to rent from instead but none were close by and available for that same day. I ordered two Dolly’s but not 1 was in the truck after I had already drove home and being moving my things. Called 3 times no answer. After the fourth call she finally answers and I will be refunded. I will not be renting from 20258 Crawford Ave, Matteson, Il again.

I was hit with an unfair cleaning charge of $10.00. The truck was returned clean and checked in by the representative in my presence. At no time was there mention of the truck being unclean. The representative opened the back and both doors of the cab without any mention of unacceptable dirt. We turned the key over and we're told to have a nice day. I called the location but we did not reach an understanding regarding the charge. This is a scam to earn an additional fee on the rental. I would not recommend this location.

Please put more gas in the trucks. There was an 1/8 of a tank of gas and I went to get gas, BEFORE, I used the truck. Typically, when I rent a truck, the truck is FULL and you have to bring it back on FULL, just like a rental car. If people are not complying, simply charge their credit card for the gas. Not comfortable taking a vehicle that I'm not familiar with, having so little fuel in the truck.

The trailer that was available for me looked like it was 40 years old. I was very concerned if it would make the trip. It did, however even the place I dropped it off at asked me multiple times if there was any problems. They even pulled the trailer off to the side to not put with all the ones in good shape.

Horrible experience from owner Denise. Did not place the correct amount of pads rented into the trailer. Stated after we found out that "there was nothing I can do about it" and told me that it is the receiving companies problem, not hers. Worst location I have ever been to. A private house driveway on a busy street. Only one car width to maneuver as half of driveway blocked. No help, didn't even move sign. Trailer was in her back yard. NEVER GO THERE!

This U-Haul charged me $20 cleaning for for a trailer I returned that was not dirty. I called the lady responsible for this location that has trees in her yard where I dropped it off that the trailer was in good clean shape. She got very rude with me over the phone.

Above exceptional. In the past, I've had reservations about using Uhaul due to the bad customer service. I understand limited facilitues meaning high demand accompanied by poor service, however, that was not the case this time You have a customer for life!
