I lived more than an hour away so the drive to get the u-haul was over 2,5 hours. The capacity of the site was limited so I had to wait near a half hour for my turn in line to complete the rental that I had completed online before I arrived. On the positive side, the person who did complete the rental agreement was very pleasant.David S.
The app wouldn't work for me and so I tried checking in from the website, couldn't get that to work either so had to call into customer service to get checked in and pick up the truck it took me almost an hour with hold times. People on site were very nice but I wouldn't recommend anyone to use the automated system.CHASITY RENEE V.

Your instructions for after hours pick up and delivery were very confusing and difficult to find. I bought fuel and brought the van back to the store an hour before the deadline, but I could not locate any messages on my phone with instructions for returning the van. I could only find email messages about picking up the van; none about dropping it off. And none of the messages from uhaul had any information or links or phone numbers to call for information. So I parked the van in the same parking spot where I found it, cleaned the van, took a photo of the dashboard to show mileage and fuel level, and out the key in the â€œreturn keyâ€ drop box by the front door. When I got home, I saw a separate text message with a link for information for checking in the van. Too bad I couldn't find it with the email messages about picking up the van. Then Uhaul charged me 20 $for not following directions in returning the van. You could do better if you made it simpler for your customers to follow your procedures. Many of us want to follow the rules, but you need to do better in providing the information we need. Merci.James G.

Very very rude people lady was very disrespectful and in welcoming and threatened to charge me for stuff I never used and refused To take the keys until I move the vehicle three different places everytime I move the truck where she wanted she told me I had to move it again and then wouldn't accept the keys and said she would bill me for another day and was yelling and screaming at me called me a BitchAmanda D.
Make sure you call someone before sending a tow truck to their home. I was in the middle of cleaning it and you guys had it towed because someone called and said it was stolen when it wasn't. I had to go to Cupps to clean it out so I would not get charged for it.William G.
When I booked this it was in person p/up. UHaul changed that AFTER THE FACT, apparently sending me an email the following morning about the time I left my home and I don't use my phone for personal email! I got there 1/2 hour early and it STILL took me 2 hours to get checked out which ran into my time which UHAUL reps made no allowance for! Talked to 3 UHaul reps - 2 literally hung up on me and the man behind the counter at Cupps REFUSED to help me, said he could not. I also heard the Cupps employee denigrating people based on political party, which I assumed was directed at ME. These people are horribly rude. UHaul reps were useless AND rude and UHaul does not have their policies stated properly on their website regarding their 24/7 bookings and contact requirements. My main contact had just died and I had no one else to list, which would not have been a problem if I had known the other items I could have used. The whole experience was just ridiculous. We went to pick up our truck and we did all of the checkin processes and were unable to obtain the 4 digit code to retrieve the truck and the people at cupps were unable to help at all. It was horrible. Then we spent over 45 on hold with U-Haul trying to get it straightened out. We were over an hour late picking up our truck. People waiting over an hour to help us move. It was a horrible way to start a stressful day.Shannon K.

Straightforward experience. Recommend viewing Truck 24/7 "how to" video on U-Hual website before arrival. No mobile data connectivity issues using Android phone on Ting. Approximately 20 minutes from log-on to driving away. Fully fueled truck with clean cab and cargo area.Kevin B.

This was not the original location I was suppose to pick up my 26 foot truck. The origial location was suppose to open at 9am. 9:15am there was still no one there. I called UHaul customer service and they looked into the situation. They said they did not know why the location wasn't open but even if it was open, the truck I reserved was not returned so there was no truck there for me to rent. It is now 9:30am, still no truck, and 4 people waiting at my house to help me move... another truck was located, however it was only 20 feet, and we had to drive further to pick it up. I would love to know how I make a reservation and the truck just isn't there. I would love to know why I wasn't contacted that that was the case so we could have figured this out before I was sitting at the original reservation location. Moving is stressful enough and then to add this unorganized mess on top of it was very unsettling.George L.
It was an absolute cluster!! When Ifirst chose a pick up location I recieved a call from Uhaul that said the location I chose didnt have the sized truck I chose and they wanted to offer me a 26 ft truck that would have to be picked up a few miles away at a new location. I agreed. On the day of pickup I got to the location and was told the only trucks they had were 15ft trucks and they didnt know why I was sent to them. I asked for a number to call and they were 0 help. I stayed on hold for 25 minutes with 1800 Uhaul and hung up because the wait was ridiculous. Finally the lady there gave me another number. The person on the phone found another 26 ft truck at another location. I went there and picked up the truck. The people there were 0 help and was there for at least 30 minutes trying to get the truck. Meanwhile I am paying professional movers that are standing around waiting to work. Also I rented a dozen furniture pads that I was charged for and DID NOT get. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM UHAUL AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE!! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVIE EXPERIENCE ANS HEADACHE I HAVE HAD...I DIDNT NEED THIS ON AN ALREADY STRESSFUL DAY THAT EBDED UPCOSTING ME MORE BECAUSE OF TOUR COMPANY'S DISASTER!!Angela S.

Other than the young lady at desk service was horrendous. It took three hours to get my rental because we had no help until I was given your traffic Corp # to call. I had pre check in at home then it didn't show up and then had to keep redoing it on my phone then it wouldn't accept the last step in the photo area, then your phones would say there was a problem. Finally when given the tel to call your rep took over. Final result it cost me more than I was quoted at the initial registration but almost three hours later I was on the road and late for my pickup. The ground where the trucks are kept are very dangerous to walk on. Looking for a lawsuit to happenCarlos G.

I was charged a 20 $fee because this site was not attended and I turned my rental in with the mobile instructions with no opportunity to report my mileage and fuel status. I will not recommend this site. Not having an attendant is your savings and a fee should not be passed on to the consumer.Herbert P.

The truck was unclean and had dirt everywhere in both the cab and drivers area. There was a lock on the backside preventing me from opening the door to load the truck, causing me to have a 20 minute call (being put on hold, then needing to recall because they never answered again. There was also a deflated tire on the driver front tire. Just piss-poor all around, I will not be using UHaul again after this experience.Frederick B.

Install a hot spot/customer wifi for customers using the UHAUL App. Connection is almost impossible. It took me 45 minutes to do the pick up and another 45 minutes to do the drop off because I had a terrible signal, and I had completed most of the paperwork ahead of time. AND NO PERSON THERE WOULD HELP.Suzanne H.
The equipment was fine. I moved and had no internet service for several days. Had to call Cupps to extend u-haul cargo van use three days in a row since I grossly underestimated my hauling needs. The van was available to extend use, however, Stephanie was audibly frustrated by my repeated extension requests. I got an unsolicited lecture about it. I've worked in customer service for 30 years and never heard of a vendor getting an attitude with someone who was pleasant, and willing & able to pay for available service. This is not something I needed during such a stressful time. The lack of internet service (my issue) required me to call several extra times to extend use. But no matter what the process, I feel like Stephanie should have been more empathetic and patient.Angela L.

The on line check in was terrible. Poor cell signal and no one at the location would assist in any way. If I had known this was online only I would have gone somewhere else or used PenskeDenver B.
The employees at Cupps Auto refused to help me with my pick-up. They would not help and told me I had to use the U-haul website to check out my rental. This was ridiculous because the website and U-Haul app would not allow me to check out the truck or receive the code to unlock the truck keys. I finally got a hold of a customer service agent who said I was late for my reservation and she had to "reset" my appointment. I was never late to pick up the truck and I was supposed to pick up the truck at 9:00 am and it took me an hour before I finally received the code to retrieve the keys. I was one of three people trying to get the keys to our trucks and they were all having the same problem with the website and app. One of the people was so upset he finally left. It is completely ridiculous that no one would help us because of COVID-19 restrictions. This was a horrible experience and if U-Haul does not change the way they do business I will never rent from them again.Heath S.

The Pickup Truck that we originately reserved was unavailable because it would not Pull the Tow Dolly and we were not advised of this until I arrived at the rental facility. I had yo rent a 10 feet box truck instead to pull the Tow Dolly. I think for this inconvenience I should be given the rate for the pickup truck instead of the 10 feet box truck rate. It really was Not my fault for the change in tow vehicles. U-Haul should have known about this problem before the customer rents the vehicle.Robert S.
