I need a refund or some kind of reimbursement. First I got the truck home I was in a rush cause we sold our house and had to be out the same day. So I get home lift up the door and it smells and looks like someone had been hauling trash. Cigarette butter on the floor and roaches where everywhere. I had to use microband, lysol and bleach. Once I got it cleaned, we loaded up the furniture. I gets on the highway and the check engine light comes on.JAMES D.

The service I received was good and I had no problems. The store/location itself is a little dark and dumpy... However I my pickup was relocated here from an actual Uhaul store where my reserved truck was not available. At that original and nearby store people were also nice and helpful too.Ronnie W.

I reserved a 5' Uhaul truck a month before I needed it. I was driving down to Georgia from North Carolina (a 4 hour drive) to rent the Uhaul truck, pick up furniture and bring it back to North Carolina. A few days before my reservation date, I got a call from Uhaul changing the location where I was to pick up my truck because there wouldn't be a 15' truck available at that first location. No big deal, it was only a mile or two from the original location. We drive the four hours to this new location to pick up the truck and they do not have a 15' truck, even though we reserved one and we were told to change locations to ensure that there would be a 15' truck. The men at the store (it was a gas station) told us we could take a 20' truck and pay almost double but that Uhaul would refund us about half of our payment when we returned the truck. This didn't seem right to me so I called Uhaul and sure enough the woman on the phone told me that the truck I reserved wasn't there (why reserve a truck if it isn't available?). I was transferred to Madison, the scheduling manager. She offered me the 20' truck at the same price as the 15' truck, but we didn't want a 20' truck. We didn't need that much space, that would cost more money in gas and we didn't want to drive a truck that large on mountain roads. This is why we reserved a 15' truck. So Madison sent us over to the location where we originally reserved a 15' truck. We drive the mile or two to this place and while we see two 15' trucks, the store is not open (it was 2:30pm on a Saturday) and no one is there to help us. So, I call Uhaul back again, get Madison on the phone and she changes us to a third location. Just as we are getting ready to leave, the man who worked at the store shows up (he was actually very kind and helpful when he arrived). He starts to ring me up and says I owe 620 $even though I was quoted at 320 $. We had to get Madison back on the phone again and after some deliberation, she finally changes the price back to the original quote. I also got hung up on during one of my many calls to Uhaul trying to get this straightened out and heard the sentiment that this kind of disorganization is "business as usual." So while we ended up with the 15' truck for the price we were quoted, it took a lot of extra time, phone calls, driving back and forth, hassle and stress to accomplish this simple task that Uhaul is supposed to be in the business of executing. It's a shame they have a monopoly on truck rentals...I do not intend to rent from Uhaul again and I would not recommend to anyone else. IN fact, after this experience, I would recommend that people go with Budget rentals of Penske. In my life I have probably rented from Uhaul 20 times. And sadly, they have lost a costumer.Erin G.

The owner of this shop was very helpful. Uhaul needs to do better with providing the truck size that people book and not just what they have available. I had difficulty moving because they gave me a larger truck that I did not ask for and did not tell me until I got to the location to pick it up. They should've sent an email about a partial refund due to this inconvenience smh. It was very unprofessional and I likely will hire a moving company and not spend my money with uhaul ever again.Erin N.
I was not even able to use my Uhaul due to the giant three holes in the back tires. I wasn't comfortable driving hundreds of pounds of furniture in something that could fishtail while driving. Unfortunately i did not notice the holes until i was already home from picking up the Uhaul. Disappointed in what happened and will never use Uhaul again.Emily B.

The owner of the business wasn't there when I arrived to pick up the U-Haul. I had to stand outside, making phone calls to learn what I would need to do to pickup the truck I had reserved. I never saw the owner of this company therefore I wasn't able to get assistance with tools that I had reserved with the truck, but was never available.rodriguez J.

The staff was kind, but we would have appreciated a brief overview of the truck (e.g., how to move the mirrors, suggestions for highway speeds, other features of the truck). The gentleman assisting us practically gave us the keys then walked away, providing no instructions or guidance, other than showing us how to open the back. Unrelated to the location, the truck smelled like cigarettes. I STRONGLY recommend U-Haul prohibits smoking in their rentals.Shannen G.

The person was I dealt with was fine. The location has holes in the ceiling and looks like it should be condemned. The trailer smelled like mold and the inside floor was dirty. Several side wall bumpers/tie down pieces were broken. The trailer had metal tape used on the outside to "patch" what was probably holes in the roof. The rear door barely worked and transferred old, dry, powdered paint to my hands every time I used it.. Worst rental experience with uHaul yet.Tim V.
I scheduled a pick up at one location that was in walking distance to my house. U haul changed that location to D's thrift shop stating that my origonal location didnt have the right equipment.(BS). when i got to the new location which I now had to pay for a cab to get to they didnt have a 4 wheel dolley that was supposed to be with my rental. I had to drive to another location to pick up a dolly. also the inside of the windshield was covered in what looked like coffee so i had to clean the window before moving. i called the original location and they actually had the exact equipment i requested. I am upset that you changed my location. In my opinion you did it just to give business to D's thrift. The equipment was clean and well maintained but there was not a ramp and my husband not being from here didn't know there was supposed to be one and he and his friend lifted everything onto the truck and his friend fell. If I would have seen them moving on the first day, I would have called uhaul immediately and complained of no ramp.bethany A.

I didnt take Uhaul to Augusta, changed to local delvery since my apartment wasn't complete, Ds Thrift Store was extremely helpful, proceeds everything perfectly, followed up with a phone call. letting me know the credit was processed and should be placed back on my credit card..will be going back to Ds to pickup Uhaul next weekJennifer M.
Let me be clear, D's Thrift store was very nice to me and I have no problems with them what so ever. However, I waited an HOUR and 10 MIN to have the equipment released to me. I ordered a 5X8 trailer and appliance dolly. The appliance dolly did not show up in inventory. The regional supervisor was called to assist. I don't know exactly how the problem was corrected. I was not charged for the dolly which was a "generous" 12 $... I think my time was worth more than that and Uhaul could have done better. In any case, I blame Uhaul and think they need to address their inventory system for a better customer service experience.Stephanie A.
