No staff there even during open times. Had to wait 1/2 hr on phone to call uhaul to drop off equipment.
Anni ChristensenNone of the dollies, which I had called twice to confirm, were in the truck. This resulted in losing 2 hours of moving time while we scoured Maryland to find a location that had the dollies I had already paid for but hadn't received. Ultimately, I had to buy my own dollies to complete the move. Additionally, I had completed the registration online; however, none of the information was used during the pick-up, and I had to sit in the parking lot for over 45 minutes before my information was AGAIN verified by some remote individual. Overall, a horrid experience that was more of a burden to my move than a help.
Jonathan Sheelywould recommend only for the convenience to U of Maryland students; however, no one was at the location even though the contract stated the location was 'open'. Signage is not great. Luckily saw other UHaul trucks in the parking lot, and we were able to use the 'after hours' drop-off even though it was technically not "after hours"

Jeannette PeraltaCalled to inquire if they had a van to rent, they asked if I had a preservation, I told her I did not have a reservation but wanted to rent a truck. She said I couldn't run a truck without a reservation, so I was confused and she abruptly ended the call. Had to drive to a nearby shipping store to rent the truck, which took over 30 minutes, and then drive back to the shop to pick up the vehicle. Overall very confusing and inefficient process.
David BurgerThe representatives were not friendly nor were they efficient. The young lady that checked me in was not knowledgable of the system resulting in a 30 min wait while she figured out the system without help from her colleague. Will not use this facility again. Convenience does not trump good service.

Kentrel JonesU-Haul provided me with a discount if I returned the truck to Postnet on Baltimore Ave. I arrived at the location and they no longer accept trucks. This was my assigned location on my reservation and also on my contract when I picked up the truck. It was also still listed on the U-Haul website.
Ty BennettI felt that the gas refill policy was not explained properly if at all. The tank was not full when I picked up the vehicle, so I really did not have any way to exactly replace the gas that I used. As a consequence, I did not buy gas before returning the vehicle and was charged a $25 refueling fee. If you are going to have this policy then you need to ensure that the tank is always full when the vehicle is picked up, just like any rental car agency would do.

Rhe truck up they didn't have the equipment I needed and gave me numbers to call around to get what I needed. and I had to use my miles to ride to another location to get what I needed.So I WAS CHARGERD FOR THIS I don't think that was fair to me.
krystal turnerthe truck engine light was on and you had to play with the key to get it to start. the office is small and the wait was about 20 min because there are several business in the one small office. The charge was 19,99 for the small rental but I spent $100 for 1 trip less than 6o miles.
RAMONA SNOWDENWorst uhaul experience ever. I made the reservation for 9am and coordinated my move accordingly. When I arrived, the building was locked! Turns out they don't open that early and changed my reservation to 10:30 without my consent. Uhaul was completely unhelpful and unapologetic. I couldn't find another truck on such short notice and had to go with the now two hour delayed reservations. THEN! They did not include the dollies I ordered and the guy didn't carry any. Because of uhaul I ran out of time with my loading dock reservations and my movers and I had to spend extra money to rent dollies from home depot! Uhaul cost me an extra 2,5 hours on my move and an extra $100 in fees! All because they couldn't get my order right.
Cressida MahungThe male at the location was excellent. The woman, however, was not. Her attitude at the initial rental meeting was less than poor. She had an attitude as if I was bothering her. She snatched my card from my hand and didnt explain anything to me. The dolly I asked for also was NOT IN THE TRUCK and after arriving to our destination my husband and nephews were forced to PICK UP A REFRIGERATOR. Thankfully we have rented before and knew the policy. She rudely insisted that I sit in the truck and see the mileage and where the gas is and walked off. after realizing with travel time and traffic we wouldnt be able to get the truck back by 4:30, I called, spoke to the male. He said it was fine as long as it was there by end of business at 6 pm. Again realizing that wasnt feasible i called and asked the policy for late drop off or dropping the truck to a different location, the female again, rudely, exclaimed that we would be charged another day if the truck wasnt there by 6 and it was not an option to drop it anywhere else or they would charge me the maximum penalty (but could not tell me exactly what this penalty was) she also said there was no key drop off and I needed to have the truck there by 6 pm. after calling customer service and finding out that an extension was possible and there actually IS a key drop off. Glad its over. Wont reccomend them.

Edward QuintalI arrived at 10 am to pick it up but no one there I wait for 10 minutes and I texted it by the post said call that number I texted him "I am here at suite 204, Where are you?, I need to pick truck at 10 am!" he said "Am almost there like 10am" I said "it is 10:10" he said "will be there in 10 minutes" I waited for 10 minutes at 10:20 am what a waste 20 minutes for him to come. I was a little bit upset and hurry to sign the paper and go because time! but I saw the mileages is wrong paper said 57716 but odo said 57751 and I didn't have to go back and found that fuel is 7/8 not full! grrr! I drove to my own house,4020 Clark St., 20743 which will be sold on Dec. 16th, 2016 and dropped at 6210 Belcrest Rd where I will live which about 10,8 miles about 22 miles round trip. I was hurry back to drop it off but I stopped at gas to full it up and it was 7,08 gallons of fuel! and I paid 17 dollars. and arrived at 2:15 pm which I used for 4 hours. it was 57775 and Told them that they put wrong mileages and it is not full it was 7/8. And I showed them receipt of fuel gas which is 7 gallons. And they said no, it is 59 miles. But It was 24 miles They said NO!, It was full! I saw it my own eyes! How can I get 7 gallons for 24 miles and they said 59 miles for 7 gallons!! They were wrong because they didn't use math! and He said that I should have take pix of odo mileage. It is dumb to do that! I can drive until one mile left and take pix and show them! What a lazy group!! I will never go there again! because they rip me off! with cost 35 miles extra for nothing!

Wyatt BradburyHave a truck with a working ignition and that doesnt suddenly slow down for no reason (i think somethings wrong with the transmission), and doesnt make terrible squeeling noises. Have employees at the facility that are polite and know what theyre doing. Have a rental room that isnt so run down that it looks like a drug den in Pulp Fiction.
Justin TerryI was unaware that my assigned time to pick up my truck was so strict that if I arrived after an hour, my reservation would be cancelled. So after arriving to the first location to find this out, I had to call UHaul and see if any other place had a truck for me. Luckily there was one, but since this was not the location I had reserved to pick up my truck, it was very confusing getting here. The confirmation text did not have a city name, so I went to the wrong location on Baltimore Ave at first, and had to call UHaul again. The phone customer support staff is actually very friendly. Still, had I not seen the lone UHaul waiting in a parking, I would not have found this place, as the door to the agency only had a small sticker indicating it was also a UHaul agent/location. I got the run-around treatment, for sure.
Matthew HasekThe person who checked me in was extremely rude. She Was on a personal call when I walked in, and continued to talk as I waited. Took my credit card and told me that my card was no good and to give her another one. Turns out the issue was with the machine, she called for technical support and got it working. After she went with me to check the fuel level she simply walked off. I sat there thinking she was coming back, because she didn't say that I was finished, or free to go. The truck was dirty, and smelled as if it hadn't been cleaned in quite sometime. Uhaul has always been my first choice in the past. But this experience turned me off completely. Maybe this location just needs basic coaching on customer interaction. And a simple reminder that people are not obligated to spend their money there.
Renee GoodmanI paid for furniture pads in advance, and none were in the vehicle. Thankfully, I was able to stop at another u haul location to get a few plus some bubble wrap. Dar does not have materials to support the rentals.

Patrick McSherryHi, I am writing to request a reservation guarantee. I spoke with customer service agent Patricia Pearson on Feb 24 Weds to explain the situation that the U-Haul staff was LATE to arrive 30 minutes after the appointment was checked-in and scheduled for 10 am. I actually had to call the Lanham office, to report that there was no one at the 5811 Baltimore Ave, Riverdale, MD location, and he had to call and send someone over there. This has significanlty delayed appointments for delivery of furniture items and going about the day. Patricia told me that I could obtain a $50 refund back to my card I used. Please confirm. Thank you.
Christophe MargaineI booked the truck from the time 12:00 pm but there is no people working for the Uhaul until 12:35 pm and I was continuously told there will be someone coming in 5 minutes but actually I waited there for 40 minutes for my service.
Chen ShenTry to create a business model which can transfer the vehicle from one dealer location to another if the customer is nearer to the one which does not have the required equipment. This can improve customer convenience and equipment availability.
GURU PANDIANI was overcharged for my rental, the company charged me additional for gas when I filled the truck up before returning. After reviewing my contract it stated that the gas tank was full when I received it, even though it was not. I only drover the truck for 12 miles within the same zip code and returned it after putting $10 worth of gas in the tank. I am in dispute with my bank for these fraudulent charges. I will never deal with this location again.
ANITRA LANEThis location did not have options for anything extra. It only rented out trucks. There was no option of renting a hand dolley, or boxes, or packing tape. Furthermore, the office is hard to find. You do not really know, where the Uhaul company is sitting. Besides these two issues, the staff was helpful, and courteous, and the truck was in fine condition.

She recognized that both my husband are were exceedingly tired from the day's moving activities. Most important, when we explained that we had been given the wrong drop off address, she proceeded to arrange for the billing correction. Her service was exemplary
MARILYN BARKERThis location took a long time to find. It is a small, single room office on the second floor of an old retail building. The only reason I was able to find it is because there was a lone U-Haul van parked out front. There were no other signs indicating that this was the location. I had made a reservation online and received a quote, yet once I arrived at the office I had to reiterate all of my information for the woman working. It took her a very long time to enter my information (about 30 minutes) and then informed me that I was covered for 513 miles, which was the exact distance between my start and end locations. I told her that the cargo van was advertised as having unlimited miles. She said yes, unlimited miles, but you have to pay after 513. I think this is false advertising and absurd, but I let it go. She then told me she would meet me outside to inspect the van. She didn't come outside for another 10 minutes. We inspected the van and then she had to go back inside to get another form. Before I left, the woman asked that I give them a positive review on the U-Haul website. Once I finally drove off 50 minutes later, I realized she had forgotten to give me a hand truck that I had requested in the original quote. I called the office and asked about it. She said that she asked me if I needed a dolly and I said no. She was unaware that a dolly and hand truck are not the same thing and that I was saying no to the dolly, expecting that the hand truck was already noted in my reservation. I was not about to go back and deal with them again, so I continued on without the hand truck. I absolutely recommend finding a more reputable U-Haul dealer.
Andrew KehlenbeckI never received an email or call so I called the uhaul facility and national line. While the facility was helpful (Dante was so accommodating), I had a very NEGATIVE experience with the national hotline. I understand the policy of 24 hours notice, but if you know you cannot accommodate my reservation, which I made almost 2 months ago, then you should notify the customer ASAP. I had to spend hundreds of dollars that I did not budget for because I found out an hour and a half before the facility was about to close that I was not going to be able to get my preferred location and had to pick it up at another location. This moved my moving time back by two hours and cost me money. It would have been nice to be notified a little earlier than 4pm that my preferred location was not going to work, when I was planning on showing up to that location at 7am. The women I spoke to on the national hotline were not accommodating at all and one unhung up on me. I was transferred a handful of times and had to explain my situation over and over again and kept getting passed along to more and more people. The location that I picked up my truck was not open when it said it would be and the woman had trouble locating my reservation. Due to this experience, uhaul has lost a customer.
