Richard WIt was very dirty and disgusting. I have rented from this place before and it's usually excellent. This truck was despicable. Its smell of urine. It was so dirty and sticky and nasty. I was very upset.

tyrone wI love doing business at this location! The service is always personable and I feel valued with each transaction. There is no question that this is the site I would go to if I needed anything remotely close to Oneonta New York.
Mark HThey stole $978,88 from me today by charging my credit card for 17 days plus coverage for those days when I had returned the truck the day after picking it up and with extra gas in it. My auto payments are going to bounce. I'm livid.

Shane GThe "service" in NY was horrible! There was a sign on the door saying "I'm not here today, see you tomorrow". The U box store was a joke, it is a windows and door business that has the U-Haul you box on the side I would think U-Haul would vet their vendors a lot better so the experience is favorable. There were no blankets, NO ONE TO HELP!! The box was sitting in the mud, we had to pry the door open to put the items in it. As we loaded the box, the box shifted so we could not get the door closed especially latch the door & lock. We had to use a 2x4 and a pile of Rocks as a lever arm to get the door closed & latched. I called the "area supervisor" 4 times that day, to date have not heard a word from them. The people in Sparks were a dream. They were helpful And courteous offering to help with anything we needed. If only the U Box Pl. in New York would have been half as helpful it would have made the experience better. I would like compensation for the mess in NY!!

susan mThe gentleman that rents them needs to worry about uhaul customer, not his other business pr personal phone calls. I waited 25 mins n4 he took my license but was still purchasing life insurance. Never got a copy emailed, texted or paper copy from him either. My brother rented a u box for the next day When he got there to finalize paperwork a sign read closed see you tomorrow. He was given a box number that he started to fill. When he went to lock it he had to find a board to prop the end up to be able to put his lock on. I never received any paperwork didnt know about additional mileage. Nothing was said about being sure where to drop it off. Not a happy camper!!!!!
Jennifer TThe owner at D and S Shirage was very unhelpful on the phone. Moving help.com had arranged to pick up our boxes in a Sunday but the uhaul owner refused to work on Sunday. Why book it for Sunday if you don't work that day? Eventually my mover had to work out a complicated arrangement to pick my boxes. The uhaul owner was really not helpful. It would have been easier for uhaul to drop the boxes on site.
David LThe man at D&S could not have been any more helpful was very friendly made the packaging and concern my parents had go away. Would recommend them to anyone that has a move in their future.

richard sI marked N/A to those 2 questions because the location was closed so location was OK on the outside, unknown about the inside and it was closed (Saturday) morning so no personnel. Although the owner made a quick appearance as he was doing something else, I think, so he cleared our return. To return vehicle, the text with "link" was difficult for me/us to use but I guess we did OK. At our age any "link" is difficult :) Thanks to all! Trip went well and the truck ran beautifully.

Mena HI requested moving pads and a dolly, and received neither. While loading the truck, the door broke and we had to wait 3 for someone to come repair it and an hour to make the door useable. The pick up location did not offer any assistance other than refer me to roadside assistance.
Elyssa JEric at D&S was great and very accommodating. Unfortunately, the 6'X12' trailer with ramp has corners at the back reducing the opening to 5 feet! Thus the UTV we purchased would NOT FIT!!! So we drove 135 miles one way for nothing! As a result we had to return to our residence and purchase a trailer for $2159.00, drive another 200 miles to pick up our UTV. What is the purpose of having a 6' trailer bed when the ramp opening is only 5'??? All the trailers I've researched have the same ramp width as the trailer bed! Again, the rental agent, Eric was excellent. The trailer was a waste of time and money. I blame myself for not doing better research.

For the sake of the next person Uhaul cons into using this service, I hope it ceases to be offered soon.
Francesco DI am out over $ 2K in damages as the stuff was not stored in a climate controlled unit and all uhaul could say was "we have to take care of ourselves first and sorry for your loss but it was a miscommunication". The worst I have ever been through!!!! Save your money and donate all your materials before wasting your hard earned money to end up having to trash everything. Anything cloth was covered in mildew and Uhaul takes no care to correct their "miscommunication".

herman rWe rented the trailer 30 days prior to pick up, when we requested the hitch size, were told hitch we had would work. When we picked up the trailer we had the wrong hitch and had to go purchase one, delaying my departure. Even though I called ahead with an arrival time, we still had to drive up a messed up driveway and drive the trailer down. The trailer gate was broken and needed repair on pickup. Trailer was extremely dirty with paint all over it. The trailer cost way too much.

Sean HThe computer system on the administrative side wouldn't except any credit cards making it difficult for the business owner to complete the transaction. Ironically we were having a discussion about the reliability of the computer age just prior and shared a brief laugh. He made a phone call and resolved the problem quickly.
ERIKD SI really appreciate their service and I'm sorry that my boyfriend was weird and said something about 148 miles and we didn't go I had nothing to do with that but I appreciate y'all's service and I'm definitely going to go through you guys again as we're trying to find a place to live and I would love to go through y'all again you guys are awesome five stars and then some
