~The trailer leaked and ruined many items inside of it. ~The trailer ball hitch attachment, it was loose. I couldn't tighten the nut anymore and it was still slightly loose. So when I hit bumps or accelerated or slowed down, the hitch would make noise. It would make my car shake due to it. It was really unsafe. ~The place I returned it to, no one was there. It was the same place I rented from. So they could've told me they would be closed for a week, but nope. They didn't. So i just had to drop off the trailer with no one around. And I couldn't address the concerns I have/had. So I left a voicemail letting them know the problems and that I had dropped off the trailer. I have not heard back from them. But they are going to be gone till the end of the week, so. ~I tried getting a hold of someone directly at U-Haul and I was put on hold for almost 30 minutes so I hung up. I wanted to let them know my concerns on the trailer and maybe switch it for another but I never got a hold of someone.

I picked up when the place was closed so I had to do an online pickup. The process was very tedious and difficult. The uhaul was not parked where the picture showed. Thankfully I could I.d it by the serial number. Then I am standing outside the truck (in the cold) waiting for a verification process of me that could have been done when it was booked. It then asks for a second for of verification ex. Passport. Who walks around with that? Thankfully it was one I could put in my place of employment and the phone number. But again it could have been asked for at booking. Then it's giving me all these tips of things to do inside the cab when I can't even get in yet. Then when it finishes this it tells me that the keys are in the lock box 1 in one spot but lower on the page it tells me that it's in box 2, remind you that it's cold outside. So I get the truck and go. When returning it I park it back in its spot. It wants a picture of the odometer and the gas which is understandable, the inside of the cab, ok but then it wants the inside of the back of the truck. So I have to pull it back out open it up to take a picture to put it back. So long story short maybe you should outline these steps so the person knows what they will need to be prepared for.

I dropped of in the evening after hours as this was the location on my contract. I was told to call customer service when I arrive. I did call, they had me dropping off at a different location, it took me 3 phone calls to get someone to help me out. Not real happy about wasting 35 minutes of my life trying to drop off a truck. I received an email from the drop off location indicating they charged me $20 for fuel which is robbery - the truck was dropped off with the same gas level as when I received it. According to the $4.00 per gallon charge that is 5 gallons of gas or if they did put in $20 worth of gas that would have been 10 gallons @ $2.00 per gallon which is the current rate in Avon. Either way 5 gallons would barley make the needle move and 10 gallons would move it too much according to the records. It is a bull sh_t added on charge. I put in over 20 gallons of fuel and I know how much the gauge moves because I was watching it. Oh well there are other rental companies.

I wish U-Haul would obtain more pickup trucks and rent them at all locations. I’ve rented 5 U-Haul trucks over the last 16 months and have had a good experience each time. Thanks U-Haul!

The key drop box was a bit confusing. I wasn't convinced I needed to put the key in the opening at the top. A sign with a picture of keys entering that part would go pretty far for those of us who have not seen that type of box.

The 26' long truck that i rented to drive over 800 miles to Alabama was older than Methusalah. It was poorly maintained, dirty, and barely operational. The air conditioning did not work.

Owner was friendly and helpful. The truck I rented had a infestation of cockroaches in the cab. When I called uhaul to tell them of issue they were not concerned and said the owner of the location where I rented the truck would call me Monday. I rented the truck on Saturday morning at 8am. They never offered me another truck never offered a full refund let alone a partial refund. I did not see any roaches in the back of the truck just the cab so that was a plus. I did receive a call from the owner of the location where i rented the truck he tried to tell me that there was no way there were cockroaches in the truck cab tried telling me they were stink bugs. I told him to go look on the floor there were dead ones I killed all day on the floor of the cab. No mention of a refund not even a partial one. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the truck and the reaction to roaches being in the truck.

The truck was in bad shape, it’s had functional flaws. We used to move from Ohio to Texas. The truck lacked power, barely reaching 55miles/hr. At the drop location that exhaust system is disconnected and need to be serviced. This should been checked and fixed at the pickup location for customer who will be driving for 1200 miles.

Make sure all fluid levels are checked before renting. There was no window wash fluid but still truck was clean and a much better ride and performance than expected. Very pleased. Customer service calling the Uhaul number was also very good. They responded to my needs very well.

This is directed at UHaul corporate -- I don't understand the advantage of "express" check in. I filled out all the info, then basically gave the same info -- to some extent -- at the location. I'm not sure what time I really saved by doing "express" check in. if I've done everything online, why do I need to do it again at the pickup site. I should be able to walk in and pickup the equipment and go.
