I think the problem we had was dispatch sent me there, and the dealer had already had someone line up for Saturday afternoon to use the truck so we ended up with a one day rental vs 2 day. The whole time the original request was for a brookfield Truck so it would have been a lot less miles for our our needs but was told they didn;t have one. Well the 15' truck set in the Brookfield yard all day Saturday never moving, The Gentleman in D & M was awesomeBobbie M.

We are so greatful we decided to use U-Haul. It made it Soo much easier. We were fortunate to have a pick up also though. Two bedroom Apt in 15' truck was not enough. Best part was we were able to drop it off in our hometown instead of back to the Thruway which was 30 miles away. Definitely worth it!!Bernice M.

the windshield had an 1/8 of an inch of snow on it. they could have started it up and at least defrosted it. also there was only 1/8 of a tank of gas. they gave me a 20 dollar credit. i shouldn't have to put gas in tank as soon as i get it.Robert Z.

Not this locations fault, but uhaul called to tell me that the truck I reserved was 60 miles away, and the night before told me it wasn't available, and I could have a local truck, and drive it 120+ miles just to get to and from the location and wouldn't give gas credit. Lucky this place had a smaller truck, but even though uhaul told me I could have an extra day, they didn't give it to me. This guy was very nice and understanding, but the uhaul system is an absolute mess and I will never again use them.Casey T.

Had a 8:39 am reservation for a 4 hr rental. Rental place could not establish internet connection to U-Haul site. I tried calling U-Haul main number and got a automated menu. I selected the issue I was having with my rental only to keep getting disconnected. The owner was finally able to establish a internet connection 1 1/2 hrs later. I was also charged 20 for insurance coverage on vehicle which I had declined on the rental agreement. I will never rent a U-Haul again and rest assured I will spread the word of nothing but aggravation and it is not even worth renting a U-Haul vehicle. U-Haul has gone way down hill from what this company used to be.Wilson M.

I was supposed to have a truck in Brighton, MA by 12 pm at the latest, but they never had a truck. It was incredibly inconvenient to have to go so far out of the way so much later to get a truck. Furthermore, my reserved parking and moving/elevator window expired long before we were able to complete the move.Kyle D.

The van was covered In dirt, dust, and what looked like animal hair. Please clean and do not charge customers a cleaning fee for van's that are received filthy.Raissa D.
The gentleman who checked me out of this transaction did his very best to correct the shortcomings of the pick up location. He connected with hotline in an attempt to fix the bill to reflect what I didn't receive; the pick up location forgot to put Furniture blankets and the dolly I ordered in the truck. U-Haul Hotline was essentially useless. They recommended I call the pick up location which I had already done to no avail. The U-Haul System does not allow mistakes to be fixed during a single transaction if the pick up and drop off are not the same. Considering the fact that we didn't have the option of dropping off at the same location, it might be something to look into changing, U-Haul. I would definitely recommend this location due to its politeness and accuracy.SARAH A.

The truck had a thick layer of dirt and dust with hand prints in it was not cleaned out in months food stuck on door handles ect was not covid cleaned at all when I asked for it to be cleaned he lied n said it's not required. Also my keys where I side locked up and they tried to charge me 20 for service desk ....this place needs to be closed down they try to scam youLaura F.
WASSUPPOSED TO PICK UP IN wESTFIELD BUT HAD TO PICK UP 25 MILES AWAY OR USE A HUGE DOUBLE AXLE TRAILER FOR MY 100 MILE TRIP. gOT CHASTIZED FOR NOT BEING IN wESTFIELD ON TIME TO PICK UP EVEN THOUGH TRAILER WAS NOT THERE. cHARGED ME $32 FOR THE INSURANCE WHEN i DID NOT WANT IT. tHE ONLY AGENT WAS OFF THE DAY BEFORE WHEN THE TRAILER WAS ILLEGALLY DROPPED OFF THE DAY BEFORE BY THE PHONE SYSTEM. aPPARENTLY IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT i HAD TOHAUL IT TO wESTFIELD WITHOUT COMPENSATION. aFTER OVER 50 YEARS OF USING UHAUL i WILL SERIOUSLY LOOK AT OTHER RENTAL COMPANIES.richard H.

Online check I. Is a joke. Way too many steps and half of which, like face and license pictures, should be done in the pre-check in stage. No mention of a secondary phone number was asked during pre check yet I had to scramble to get one while trying to pick the truck up. Luckily the store was open so the gentleman could help. If it wasn't open I would have had to find another rental. Was charged for dollies that weren't provided. Truck was nearly empty of fuel and returned with the same level but charged for fuel. The location is fine but UHaul has shady practices with no way to refute charges. When I attempted to call when I realized the dollies were missing I was told 15-20 minute waiting time. How can I be on the phone that long while trying to move and get the truck back on time?!? Ridiculous. I will not use UHaul again for truck rental needs.Brian S.

The truck was DISGUSTING. Especially in covid times... the cab of the truck had coffee spills on the seats, dirt everywhere, and grime in the cup holders. I cleaned it before use when I got it home and got sooooo much gross stuff out. The back of the truck smelled like cigarettes and had dirt in it. When I went into the office to initially get the key for my reservation the worker (owner?) had no mask on and finally put one on but took his time, his friend was in there with him watching tv and kept his mask off the entire time.
