Windshield wiper blades were damaged making the metal wiper arms scrape against the windshield. For 2000+ miles. Also gas guage was marked at 3/4 tank on contract, but was only at 5/8 tank.Mary S.

Very friendly man. Explained things in a way that was easy to understand. If you're reserving this online, have a buffer amount in your bank. The online estimate (of rental + insurance + roadside assistance + mileage estimate) showed $58, but then I was charged $69 (tax wasn't shown on the website) upon arrival, and it would have been more again later, if I hadn't put gas in.Myka L.

When I received my uhaul I was not sure about the condition of the equipment because nobody came out with me when I hooked up my 6x12 trailer to make sure it was in proper working condition. I made it 10 miles down the highway and got off and realized my wheels were smoking. Only to find out that the red plate being in a pushed forward position on my trailer tongue was to indicate that the emergency break had been engaged already before I even hooked up the trailer. The tires were smoking and it smelled like breaks and I had to wait for a period of time for uhaul to dispatch somebody to disengage the parking break. Which wasted a significant portion of my day when I was supposed to be utilizing it to move to a new houseDAVID M.

Not allowing people to schedule their pickup time for a time that isn't available. I originally was scheduled to pick mine up Thursday night 5pm (with an associate over the phone) but received a call saying I had to pick it up Thursday before 3 during the middle of the day. Which resulted in me having to totally switch my schedule around the following day.Brynn C.

Location was fine however the truck was a disappointment and should never had been offered for rental due to it heavily leaking gas going down the road. So bad that both my kids called to tell me that gas was leaking at every stop. The steering wheel is off center and I think the exhaust may have a hole in it. I returned the vehicle earlier than I needed to as we were afraid to continue using it. Interior was also dirty when I picked it up. Very disappointing experience.Steven P.

Well this place could use a deep cleaning but they did a nice job and were patient with faulty computer issues that weren't their fault. Pick up in Ontonagon took 1 1/2 hours due to computer issues.Peg C.

I swear every time I rent through UHaul it just gets worse and worse. This location was so poorly maintained- dirty, dingy, and just plain gross overall. Dave was very rude over the phone, said (around 1pm) that if I wanted to pick up the UHaul by closing time (at 4pm), that I better â€œHurry up.â€ He was also very condescending when answering the questions I asked about the rental. The UHaul itself was disgusting when I picked it up- sticky seats, food on the floor, and coffee spills all over the cup holders. I swept out so much black dust and dirt from the back before we even loaded anything of mine on the truck. What a joke that Uhaul wants the truck â€œreturned in the condition it came in-â€œ if we're going by that standard, it looks better when I returned it than when it came to me because I cleared out the garbage, left over food, and wiped off the seats before we started. So not worth the money spent for something so filthy to use for just a few hours, do yourself a favor and rent from ANYWHERE elseLana M.

The location where we dropped off was disgusting and filthy. While I was turning in the keys there was a guy sitting at the desk behind the person who took the keys eating his lunch among the filth. The man who took my keys wasn't friendly at all and told me I could complain about the gas issue but said, and I quote, "it won't do any good". Overall, my experience with renting this truck was one of the poorest experiences I've ever had.THERESA B.

Salesperson gave me the keys and said that the truck was out in the lot and to look for the number above the drivers door. There were 3 trucks (26') in the lot. If UHaul is serious about being an upstanding business, they should sever ties with this location. The business was run down, poorly maintained and uninviting. We dropped the vehicle off after hours, and called the next day to verify they had everything they needed. The gentleman on the phone was abrasive, extremely rude, and completely unhelpful. I had originally made my reservation for a location closer to the place where I was moving, for a truck, utilitybdolly and a dozen moving pads but then recieved a phone call to change the location saying that it was the nearest location that would be guaranteed to have everything I reserved. When I arrived to the filthy location (cigerette butts on desks, expired baked goods all over and place looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the 80s if not 70s. They informed me they did not have any utility dollies and moving pads available. Truck smelled like oil or greese in the cab, had to wash my hands anytime after driving due to my hands becoming so dirty and black from the steering wheel. I would not take that truck on any significant distance due to the brakes pulsing almost like antiblock brakes pushing the pedal back at you.chris B.

Dave's U-Haul was great. But I had originally planned to have contactless pick up at DK Petroleum in Appleton. That was not good. DK would be rated as very poor. They messed up my rental and delayed my schedule. Costing me both time and money. Not happy about it.Patricia P.

You're a new check in process it's difficult at best. Many people do not have an iPhone or Internet access. We turned in the truck and had to go back not realizing you had to be right on the lot to turn it in. I would say this is unworkable for a lot of movers.Mark P.

I was ripped off from this place and they have horrible customer service and unsafe standards. The trailer was parked on a hill and they have no one to be able to assist loading/moving trailers. I sliced open my finger trying to stop the trailer from rolling down the hill. I was charged a $20 after hours fee due to returning the trailer and not putting it in the correct location because there was a vehicle parked where I was supposed to return the trailer. Never using Uhaul ever again.Aaron B.

The place smelled of cigarette smoke so bad that we had to walk out. We had rented the U-Haul for 8AM. We received a call the day before saying that we could not pick it up until 9AM. When we got there at 9:05 the trailer was not ready and we finally left there at 9:45. The person that was at the desk when we arrived used vulgar language several times complaining about the IT department at U-Haul. I would not recommend this location to anybody.Steve S.

Daves Certified Service is a dirty and disheveled establishment. The Uhaul I picked up from their shop had a large crack in the side-wall of one of the tires - I had to call roadside assistance before even leaving my house. All that aside, there were no major issues with the trailer on the road, and I did save a lot of money by going this route.Nathan M.

Take this site off of the map. The operators there are the most unprofessional service providers I've ever encountered. I was treated rudely, sworn at and yelled at almost in the same breath both at pick up and return. You seriously need to look at the reviews for this site. They are very unbecoming of U-haul. If my rent reservation gets moved to this site as this rental had I will cancel it on the spot.darrell B.
Dave was great. Very friendly and went through everything on the contract for me. But I originally booked and confirmed a truck at the Shell station on Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton. That guy speaks very poor English, shouldn't be in customer service and was laughing about the fact that he didn't have a truck available for me. I was not then nor am I still happy about that situation. Needless to say that I won't ever use his business for anything again.
