The people and product was awesome. But I do feel that $105 for 3.5 hours of use is excessive. Actual $115 because I had to add $10 for the gas. Literally 3.5 hours and 80'ish miles $115.

When I reserved the U-Haul online I was told I had 116 miles per day, but when I got to U-Haul to pick up the truck I was told I had that for the entire trip. Which was BS since the entire trip was 161 miles! So I already knew I would be going over and being charged insane fees but as we were asking that the lady became aggressive on her words and charged my card so I couldn't change my mind either way! But then there's also the fact that I PAID FOR and reserved a 26 foot truck but they gave me a 20 foot truck and didn't even credit me the $40 difference in cost!! Instead she put it in my file that we discussed it and I agreed to the change and that the "promotion" was done by then so it would have cost me more to rent the smaller truck anyways so basically I was "getting a discount" already!! That's some straight BS! I got ripped off and the truck inside the cab was disgusting with food and drink messes caked on to the console. I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!

They thought i was joking when i said i had a truck coming in with no outgoing mileage, and felt bad i got cheated on the fuel , said i should call corporate and have never seen such an inept dealer on the other end ! VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL , HELPED ME THE BEST THEY COULD !

My Uboxes arrived on 7/5, and had to call the pickup location on 7/8 to confirm that they had arrived because I was not contacted. Originally when I booked the boxes, I was told that it was not possible to have them delivered to my house. This was incorrect. Then, when I did have them delivered to my house a week later, the person at the local uhaul location failed to accurately explain the charges that would incur from said delivery. Overall my experience with uhaul from start to finish was that of poor communication, and incorrect information. Not to mention that in total over the process of moving with your company I spent 4 hours on hold over the phone with various uhaul associates. I would not use your company in the future.

If you are int the Upper Valley, go to a different location. The staffing was friendly but they could not figure out the online U Haul system, and it took nearly 40 minutes to check out. Then, the owner charged me $40 for a 1/2 hour of labor for somebody to help hitch the trailer to my car even though it took less than 10 minutes! I would NOT recommend this U Haul to anybody due to this experience.

Kickstands for the trailers would be nice. Maybe some jackstands in the rear so they dont havd to be hooked to the truck the entire time.

I ordered a 17-ft truck from a specific U-Haul location on the web site. A few days later, I received an email, telling me the truck was available from a different location. When the rental day arrived, I got another email, and in that one, the truck had been downgraded to 15-ft. I know this is not the fault of the rental location, but it still does not make me happy. I should have been offered a discount for the smaller truck.

Davis auto was great. The uhaul online reservation setup is horrible. Was really easy to make the reservation but the uhaul company changed my pickup site to 49 minutes away instead of 5 minutes even though the truck and trailer were already at Davis Auto. My reservation was cancelled and then the pricing came up $400 more than it should have. Took over 30 minutes to clear it all up. Davis Auto was great to get me through all of that but I will never rent from uhaul again.

My experience is ongoing. I chose U-Haul because it was the cheapest option for a 26' truck in the area. I got a call 24 hours before the reservation letting me know that only a 15' truck was available. It was too late for me to book another truck through another company. With a 15 foot truck, I had to make a second and 3rd trip for my move which was inconvenient enough, but added 50 miles to my mileage, and made the rental more expensive than all other options I priced out. The worst part is that when I picked up the truck it had 79614 miles on it, and a quarter tank of gas. My contract however said that the truck had 5/8 of a tank of gas, and 79491 miles on it. Having now returned the truck I was billed for 123 miles more than I actually used the truck, and an extra $120 fee for gas that was not used by me. I reported all of this the day that I picked up the truck. That was 5 days ago, and I've been trying to correct the situation with the location every day since. They are dragging their feet, and acting like they're doing me a favor. I will never use U-Haul again.

I am still waiting for supervisor to call me about all the mixed up pick up locations I received and all the excess charges you have charged me and how many hoops I had to jump just to find trucks that were confirmed wrong!!

With regards to the "actual" drop off address on U-Haul's Contract: The "Destination Address" was listed as White River Junction, VT. This proved to be confusing, given the first location I went to, (Ballardvale Drive?), didn't have me on their "return schedule". As such, I was redirected to a "Fred Davis", located at 1350 Rte 14. Whilst the actual return address may have been sent via email, I believe it could also be printed on the hard-copy contract form. Upon reaching 1350 Rte 14: Admittedly, I was a wee bit upset at the aforementioned runaround. That said, I'll give Linda (Hewitt?) kudos for her handling of the situation. Let's face it ... It wasn't her fault!

Super great folks here at Davis Auto in White River Junction. Corporate UHaul completely dropped the ball on my truck return location with their awful online computer reservation system and inability to fix or care enough to make right on their mistakes after I called their customer support, dispatching, and trafficing departments three times. What UHaul did was automatically over road my original agreed upon drop off location and changed it on me after I rented the truck and then tried to surcharge me to death for their own incompetence even though I took the truck exactly to where the reservation was agreed upon to go. Both the owner and manager of Davis Auto got on the phone immediately with UHaul corporate and argued in my defense and over road UHaul customer support after they refused to fix their own mistake while the three of us clearly explained the problem to UHaul in a conference call while standing at the return counter. Davis Auto came to the rescue, Big Brother UHaul has gotten to big to fail and could learn a lot from these folks in Vermont on how to treat their repeat customers. Davis Auto gets an A+++. UHaul corporate you should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope the president of UHaul reads this and calls me up personally and looks into this bungled truck rental case and the 6x12 enclosed trailer I tried to rent the day before from a different location that I had to shovel out of a snow bank in order to pick it up and then discovered it had a flat tire and missing wiring harness and was unrentable leaving me me high and dry on my scheduled move.

I was given a few options of where to drop off the trailer. Bob's Service Center in White River Junction immediately refused to accept my drop off saying the I wasn't in the computer holding my paperwork in his hands. Then he proceeded to tell me he had no room for this 5x8 drop-off when I could only see one small trailer and one truck in his yard My feeling is this person should be fired from his position or this U-haul dealer should have his dealership revoked. Davis Auto was great!!

I wanted to pick up at a closer location and was told I couldn’t even when I called the location and they said the truck I wanted was available. When I told called Go Uhaul they would not change the location or compensate for the extra mileage for this location. I have used Uhaul many times in the past and also have a storage unit. I was very disappointed in this recent transaction. I also picked up the truck and not only was it not clean I’m the back but it also hadn’t been started to warm up. It was 20 degrees that day so we had to take an extra 15 minutes to let it warm up. I will be re thinking my next rental with another company.

The owner was rude and nasty to young lady who was trying to check us out, and charging us $4 for large boxes & 2 for small on a hand written receipt instead of been on the u-uhaul invovice, and feel we were greatly over charged for the short distance and time of need, talked me into a smaller truck when we needed a 26ft box and wasn't one according to any uhaul dealer I spoke to,

People at Davis Auto are great! Service is very good. However, the trailer I got this time was covered in a thick layer of very fine sand or dust... Should have been pressure washed. Also the ratchet strap mechanism was just about seized up. I have rented car carriers many times from uhaul and the ratchet strap mechanism is almost always practically impossible to use. Should be standard operating procedure to clean and lube equipment! Last car carrier I rented a few weeks ago was in better condition. Perhaps it was the same trailer but had gotten the fine sand in the ratchet mechanism.

Rental location was fine but we had a problem that the truck and trailer got stuck in a house backyard and needed a tow. The U-Haul emergency phone number was terrible. - I was initially on thold for at least 20 minutes. - After talking with the initial operator she said that a tow truck would Arrive in 40 to 60 minutes. - After 90 minutes with it showing up I called and again was on hold for 20 minutes. - The second operator said she would check on status and after 10-15 minutes said that the order never went out to a towing provider as there were questions. I answered them and she said that there would been charge for towing. NO ONE CALLED ME TO TELL ME THAT THE TWO TRUCK HAD NOT BEEN ORDERED. - By then it was 10pm so I said would do it in the morning. She said that I couldn't set up a morning time to meet the tow truck as that wasn't the system. - I called the net (Wed) morning and reached an operator in 5-10 minutes. He (Eric) - -
