Be exact about where one is supposed to drop off rental. Don't change the location, don't change the time. On our rental agreement, the drop off location stated: call (800#) when I get to White River Junction, VT...it did not state WHERE in WRJ, VT...and WRJ is a good size town! When I looked up on line for UHaul in WRJ, it said Bob's (this guy stopped UHaul in August- I suggest you get him off line somehow on your info), and Davis - this is where we ended up; however: Davis said if i drop off there, I would be charged for delivery to wrong address (WHAT?!? I was only given WRJ!!); was told the delivery was changed to Lebanon, NH, & that when I got there I'd likely be told they are full & cannot take the trailer (WHAT!?), Davis was willing to take it- but I'd be charged that fee! Ann from UHaul Vt was helpful (once my call was transferred to her); she told me all of the above again, got permission from Davis to leave the trailer with them, at no charge. THANK YOU ANN! It would also be helpful if you would alert your delivery places of the returns a day in advance, as I brought it back day prior (thank goodness I did, with all the nonsense we encountered) & was told not expected to return until 0800 next day---we emptied out the trailer quickly, so figured due to distance from our home to WRJ, we'd take it on over 13th rather than get up at 0500 to get it to WRJ at 0800 14th. Your business needs to get it together & be more clear on your instructions to the customer. UHaul Ann and Davis personnel were very helpful----it was the contract & changes behind the scenes that made this a nightmare for us. Would we recommend UHaul to others? Probably not, with this experience; would be use UHaul again in the future? We would have to think long & hard before we did. We do have a major move coming up in the near future, and this has made it a bit more challenging, as we had planned to use UHaul.

My reservation was made to pick up the truck at a location 10 minutes from my home and it was reschedule to be picked up in White River Junction instead which is an hour away. I was not informed that the reschedule took place - I don't know which office (White River Junction or Barre, VT) is responsible for contacting me, or if it should come directly from UHaul - but it was very inconvenient to add a 2 hour round trip drive to pick up the truck when trying to move.

While I understand ppl have lives and closing on time is important, making a point of at least GREETING the customer in the parking lot when the customer has driven equipment onto the property 5-10 minutes prior to closing is the mark of a company that's interested in their customer's satisfaction. You don't have to do anything more than say "Hey there, how was everything? Just drop the key in the dropbox and we'll get your equipment checked in in the morning." Instead of calling out to the customer from your car as you're driving away...

Very disappointed in UHaul for lack of tracking inventory. This location was very much out of our way when there was a UHaul location in my town. This location and people were great. UHual was not, the trailer was chipping paint and in desperate need of an update.

This my second visit to Davis Auto, only because my first drop off attempt in White River Junction doesn't do UHaul any more. They need to update their website. The Davis UHaul clerk "stepped out" and would not be back for an hour plus. I used the app to return the trailer. The first time, I had a reservation for a trailer there and when I arrived, on time, they did not have the equipment or a substitute.

Our issue was that the day before our prearranged pick up in Burlington Vermont....UHaul called to say our pick up location has changed.....It was changed to a location an hour and a half out of our way....a location that closed at 3 in the afternoon. This entire trip was planned around a 1 o'clock college graduation ceremony that day. So, we had to leave at 3 a.m. to get to this "not on our way" location to get the truck to be able to get to our son's graduation in time. This also ended up costing us extra charge as it added significant mileage to our trip. Finally, the truck was clean, ready and pick up went smoothly but the truck reeked of cigarette smoke. It was almost 90 degrees out and when you turned on the AC, you were blasted with a cigarette smell.

We had a similar issue with returning the vehicle. The location was not working so it took so long to return the vehicle. We almost had to leave and come back another time.

Use better tires. You need winter tires on these trucks in our area, I was sliding around yesterday and had a hard time staying on the road after I unloaded and there was no weight. The flatlandrr tires on there are dangerous in snowy conditions.

It was terribly cold and snowy when we picked the trailer up. The inspection date said it was good to go. when we loaded it up the next day, we noticed that drivers side front tire was flat. We filled it with air at the local gas station, then drove slowly to the Lebanon NH Uhaul (only one open on a sunday) and had them check it over. They recommended to monitor it and fill it daily, which we did.

Davis Auto was not the closest drop off. When I tried to drop off trailer and Truck at the nearest drop off (Bob's Sunoco) they informed me they didn't take trailers and sent me to Davis as they had more room in lot. I had been instructed by U-haul to take it to nearest place. Somehow U-haul communications got very confusing as they accused me of not dropping the trailer. I then started getting calls and emails wondering where the trailer was. I hauled the trailer at my expense as a favor to u-haul as they needed it they said in Vermont. When I was told I had checked in and everything was fine it did not stop the calls. I even received a call from another state (NH) wondering where the trailer was. Somewhere, someone, some how didn't do something right.???

The truck smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that it gave my husband a headache. The odometer reading was wrong, and we tried to correct it, but to no avail. I have left messages and comments, we submitted the correct milage and a photo, AND YET I AM BEING CHARGED FOR THESE EXTRA MILES WE DIDN'T DRIVE! No one at Uhaul seems to give a crap about this. It's very unfortunate. I take to twitter tomorrow. I HAVE MUCH BETTER THINGS TO DO, BUT I AM NOT GOING TO BE RIPPED OFF!!!!!

The whole experience of renting a truck from U-haul was terrible, from not having the right truck, to switching both my pick up and drop off locations to spots not remotely similar or close to the ones I had selected online, to outright rude customer service...submitted a complaint to customer service but I am sure I won't hear back based on the abysmal customer service I got when I had the rental.

The woman that worked behind the counter seem to have no idea what she was doing she asked me for my license I told her that I uploaded it she said well I need the license again. She told me that she didn't think they were any boxes available that they had sold out of all the boxes and then somebody told her yes they had boxes they had plenty of boxes Then I asked her if they had tape and she said they didn't know if they had tape she said I'm not even sure if we sell tape to secure boxes. I did everything online so I would not have to take a long time it's still took me over a half hour to complete everything inside then when she went to find the truck outside and they were only six trucks she couldn't find one and I had to wait even longer just didn't seem to know what she was doing Very stressful

On web site, boxes were sold and I bought 10. They were not available at the pick up point as expected and to my surprise they were going to be shipped at a cost which doubled the expense. A real turn off ! I tried to cancel but was minutes too late. ??

When we arrived to pick up the U-Haul we had a huge hassle about getting it and our scheduled pick up time for 9:00 a.m. at one specific location was changed to another location, in the end we got our truck an hour and a half late. Then when we examine the truck there was a ton of damage and it was completely filthy with broken glass jammed in the sides inside the truck, and the truck leaked water all over my belongings. When we return the truck we were billed 90 extra dollars due to the fuel not being full at drop off because they claimed that the fuel was filled when we picked it up and it was only at a quarter of a tank. We returned it at a half a tank and didn't get reimbursed for that but instead we got charged 90 extra dollars. And they did the same thing to us the last time we used their truck so I don't recommend at all. I will buy my own truck and take however many trips it is necessary to move the next time.

The people and product was awesome. But I do feel that 105 $for 3,5 hours of use is excessive. Actual 115 $because I had to add 10 $for the gas. Literally 3,5 hours and 80'ish miles 115 $.

The 6x12 trailer had water leaks in the back AND front. Arrived in TX with damaged belongings. Losing my property due to mechanical defects shouldn't be my fault.

When I reserved the U-Haul online I was told I had 116 miles per day, but when I got to U-Haul to pick up the truck I was told I had that for the entire trip. Which was BS since the entire trip was 161 miles! So I already knew I would be going over and being charged insane fees but as we were asking that the lady became aggressive on her words and charged my card so I couldn't change my mind either way! But then there's also the fact that I PAID FOR and reserved a 26 foot truck but they gave me a 20 foot truck and didn't even credit me the 40 $difference in cost!! Instead she put it in my file that we discussed it and I agreed to the change and that the "promotion" was done by then so it would have cost me more to rent the smaller truck anyways so basically I was "getting a discount" already!! That's some straight BS! I got ripped off and the truck inside the cab was disgusting with food and drink messes caked on to the console. I WILL NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!

They thought i was joking when i said i had a truck coming in with no outgoing mileage, and felt bad i got cheated on the fuel , said i should call corporate and have never seen such an inept dealer on the other end ! VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL , HELPED ME THE BEST THEY COULD !

My Uboxes arrived on 7/5, and had to call the pickup location on 7/8 to confirm that they had arrived because I was not contacted. Originally when I booked the boxes, I was told that it was not possible to have them delivered to my house. This was incorrect. Then, when I did have them delivered to my house a week later, the person at the local uhaul location failed to accurately explain the charges that would incur from said delivery. Overall my experience with uhaul from start to finish was that of poor communication, and incorrect information. Not to mention that in total over the process of moving with your company I spent 4 hours on hold over the phone with various uhaul associates. I would not use your company in the future.
