I only checked yes I would refer to a friend because everyone moves. Unfortunately, its a lot of trouble to rent a uhaul and NO ONE takes responsibility for anything. I laughed at the last person I spoke to and said let me guess.. Thats not part of your job. Funny how NO ONE at uhaul knows what is going on. I hope to never need uhaul again..

being I am a military veteran and a senior citizen I would have appreciated getting a discount for the rental of the Uhaul trailer but I did not get a discount for either.

My pick up location was changed making me drive further and making my trip longer. Why couldn't Uhaul just move the truck instead of me having to drive further and to top it off Uhaul wanted me to pay more money when I dropped off the truck, for extra mileage. There was no one at this pick up location and I had to wait for someone to come in to complete the transaction. I had reservations! So why did I have to wait for service?

I set up a reservation to pick up a trailer in effingham il at 4pm at the uhaul dealer on the east side and when i arrived at the motel the clerk new nothing about it as she said her son runs the computer for uhaul and would not be back for another hour. i went to thye uhaul dealer on the west side of the city DAYS INN and had towait for over an hour for the uhaul clerk to come in ... i will look at competitors first NET TIME and will never recommend to anyone to use UHAUL. robert rogers

The check out process took an hour...then the reserved trailer was not able to be hooked up (two people couldn't lift it to the hitch), so I took a smaller trailer (out of necessity). The return process was OK except that I was billed for a extra day, but the franchisee fixed the bill when I notified them of the mistake.

Don't make me drive 45 minutes out of my way to pick up the trailer (then 45 minutes back home) when there are several uhaul locations right here in town... when I reserved it a month in advance and picked a location right here in town!

The truck was promised to me at 9:00, I didn't get it until 10:00 am. The previous renter failed to return the truck on time. I had also asked for a different location for pick up, one that was closer to my home. I used 10 of my 107 miles going from the location to my loading point. Also, I had to stop back after I loaded the truck to sign the contract because the computers were down. Seems to me someone could have scheduled a better pick up point for me. I was very disappointed with U-haul and will question whether or not I will use them or recommend them. The customer service at the location was great, she was embarrassed because things were not going well.

You need better people interpreting your online rental agreements. I was sent to NE 14th St. even though I live in Urbandale, which has a very good U-Haul store. I only needed a 5x8 cargo trailer. Someone thought I was towing a vehicle, which was actually the vehicle I was towing the trailer with. I also eventually had to go to the Urbandale site to get the running lights fixed. People were all very helpful, but a lot of hassle for renting a simple trailer.

This place of business is completely unorganized. One person says one thing and another person says another. I was over charged because of their inconsistencies. The manager/owner is RUDE! I will never recomend this place!

Even though this location was small, the service was much better than larger locations I've rented from. The customer service was excellent! I was also in-an-out in less than 20 minutes. Previous locations I've rented from I was there for hours due to large customer rental returns and limited staff.

We were referred to this site because the trailer we ordered from another site (63rd St. in Des Moines) was not available, despite the fact that we made a reservation about 3-4 weeks in advance. We understand that it is common to be directed to a different site for pick-up. But the UHaul at 63rd street in Des Moines simply said that they did not have our sized trailer and that no such trailer was available anywhere in town. (We know this isn't true because our neighbor picked up the same size trailer an hour before us, having made their reservation substantially later than we did.) Ultimately, after we begged them to keep looking, we were referred to the Store It America site. However, they did not open until two hours later than we originally planned our pick-up, so we got a delayed start. When we got there, the computers were down, the lights on the trailer did not work, no one was there to help with the problem, and we incurred more delays. The women helping us at the front desk was actually very good, but she had been set-up for failure on that day. The real problem that started our bad experience is the fact that we ordered a trailer that was not available. We did not get a confirmation call as promised the day before, and so we found this out at the last minute. While they offered to "upgrade" us to a larger trailer, our car would not pull that much weight and we did not want a larger trailer. Had we not begged them to look for the trailer we ordered at other locations, they would have settled for "gee, we're sorry." Whole experience was just miserable.

The 14' truck appeared to be an "older model" with about 153,000 miles. The check engine light was on when i picked it up and still of when i dropped the unit off. The truck had very little power when climbing a hill and the engine almost seemed to "miss" from time to time. Believe the truck probably needs to be checked or retired from the fleet. Thanks

Only problem I had was that their jack to put under tongue of 6X12 trailer I rented was broken, So Nice lady at desk and I had to lift it on by hand. Tandem, so pretty heavy. I had to use my truck jack to take it off when thru. They said they were getting jack fixed

I am very disappointed that I was charged an extra $9 for going "over" mileage? I was directed BY the UHAUL site to this location, but had to drive 15 miles back to my apartment to pack and then move to Waterloo. NEVER was it mentioned that I had a mileage restriction. Had that been the case, I would have worked harder to rent from a location closer to my apartment. When customers rent from your office, you should be much more clear about the "mileage limit."

...consider a mileage discount for long-distance, two-way hauls. If someone doesn't choose a one-way rental for a distance haul, reward them for putting more money in your pocket by saving them some coin on the mileage charge. This is a UHaul suggestion, by the way, and not a StoreItAmerica suggestion. StoreIt folks were wonderful to work with.

Renting a U-Haul trailer from this location was a very pleasant experience. Fast, friendly customer service! We had a very unpleasant experience at the Douglas store which is very close to our home. This will be our U-Haul rental location from now on.

In checking prices, I could have rented a truck for what they charged for the trailer rental. Having leased for Penske at a previous job, I know you can negotiate rates, but this location was unwilling to do so, and we did not want to go to the expense of a truck plus gas.

I have never in the many times I have used Uhaul had to empty out the truck myself and bring in items such as furniture pads, hand truck etc. I will never use this location again and I will tell others of this experience and encourage them not to use this location.

The owner of the storage unit should not be representing U-Haul at all. I'm talking about the Bondurant location. The lady cussed in front of my 9 year old daughter. She was rude, obnoxious, and very inconsiderate. Thanks to her we will never use U-Haul again unless we are refunded some of our money. Yes U-Haul gave us 240 dollars because of the AT problem. We feel we should be compensated for all the troubles we endured. I don't have enough room to explain all the BS we had to go through!
