This experience was a disaster. Water leaked into the cabin when it rained and we both got soaked. The cashier didn’t even honor the original online price I booked as well nor did he tell me how much he was charging. Total scam.

We reserved the truck, a hand truck, moving blankets and a 4 wheel furniture dolly. First the location was changed which we knew could happen. Next we were told that they had no dolly’s left. The fact that we moved my disabled mother with most of us suffering from health complications as well was stressful enough because money is so tight but to be told that there was no dolly was ridiculous. I personally had a heart implant 3 months ago which will not be healed for another 4-5 months and had to lift heavy furniture which is ridiculous. If equipment is requested then it should be there. Completely unacceptable.

I was delighted with the customer service I was provided by this location. “D” was very friendly when we spoke on the phone and called to verify and hold the last remaining trailer in the area. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Upon pickup I was taken care of quickly and with a smile.

The fuel was much lower than what was printed in the contract. Overcharged for fuel when the uhaul was returned.

The app would not allow me to take the pictures that are required to return the vehicle. The staff told me "it was not their problem" and that I would be charged a $20 "convenience fee." I escalated this to your support line and was reached out to by Walter Blau, who gave a partial refund and took over a week to respond to my request to a full refund of the fee. In the future, I will make sure to find another source for rental trucks for both home and business.

Ensure the trucks are filled with gas.. the truck I took had less than 1/2 tank.. was told to return same level.. very difficult to gauge how much fuel to fill.. dove 3 miles but ended up paying $5 gas to bring the meter up.. convenient business to scam ppl to buy more gas by not topping up tank Wont go again.

I was charged for a dolly and moving pads both of which I did not want or have anyways but was still charged $10. I called the location and said he couldn't issue a $10 refund but could give cash....so I had to drive back and get the cash from the attendant.

I used self check in and only needed to get the key from staff. Please train people, as he almost failed to handover the key Also my reservation was initially at another location which failed to deliver services. I was freezing outside and had to get to another location to get my rental at 11pm. I'm still waiting for 50$ credit that U-haul advertising for cases when rental is not available.

We tried to order a small trailer for 11/2. We were told that none was available. So we paid $100 more for a 5' x 8' Cargo Trailer for the move. The pick up was set for Jass Gas LLC , 17 Rte 46 W, Lodi, NJ 07644. On 11/1, we received notification that the pick up was moved to 597 LUIS MUNOZ MARIN BLVD, JERSEY CITY,NJ 07310. This caused a massive inconvenience. The reservation was meaningless because the equipment wasn't where it was supposed to be. Not Happy

The guy at the counter has the worst case of Napoleonic syndrome I have ever encountered. He is extremely rude, charged me for a dolly I didn’t use, barely acknowledges the customers presence. I won’t be back there ever.

I made online reservation. When I went to pick up, the attendant said it was cancelled and nothing available. I had to wait there for 40 min and then the attendant made me a new booking at the counter, then I got the rental. In the following days, I see my credit card having 2 charges: one for the original reservation which the store said was cancelled, and the last rental I got. I still need to clear the wrong charge for the original online booking!

The person who i returned the truck him. He was so lazy. He refused me to give me any prrof that i gave him key back. He said u can go and u all set. Then i asked him for email me return the truck proof. Then he said u have to wait i am busy. And then after too much wait then he sent me email. Then i asked him for $40 change if he can break my 40 dollars he said he don't have a 40 dollars change ....he was so lazy. And so rood. Then he changed me $32. I driver only 6 miles. And he changed me $32. I will not go back there again. Very upset.

When I arrived to return the vehicle, I was met by an unkempt man holding a box of keys. "Gimme your key. You got paperwork?" I showed him the paperwork and asked if he needed anything else. "No, you're done." Great . . . EXCEPT that the next day I received an email charging me for an additional day of use (I picked up the truck at one location at 10 a.m., returned it to this location THE SAME DAY just before 4 p.m.). The emailed receipt stated that I hadn't returned the truck until the day after I first took it, and that I returned it at 3:02 p.m. that second day. I have no clue where the heck that info came from. Have spoken with someone at the location who says she'll get to the bottom of it and call me back. We'll see.

camera did not work on back gear, was a stain coffee on the floor , and the gay who works at night was so rude to me. Did never happened before . I know the manager from previous days , very good person... he always cares , he is so helpful and nice but this guy at night is rude and disrespectful to the clients so far I saw . Thanks to the person who works outside I was able to rent the truck. Thanks to him ! Besides that " night guy" the best place ever I rent the car, for sure.

The attendant at the station does not know the uhaul app very well. Was insistent on running the paperwork himself. I was approved to take the vehicle from the uhaul app, but it did not show up on his end. He wouldn’t let me drive off with the truck until I called uhaul to confirm with him. Not an issue as the attendant has been there for 20 years and was doing his job. Very set in his ways.

Atrocious customer service. They wouldn’t honor reservation for van so I had to rent 10’ truck. After driving 12 miles, I returned the truck and got charged for driving ~400 miles even after confirming the actual mileage with the store before leaving. I have called multiple times about this and no action has been taken (it’s been a month and still nothing...)

You could train "Darien" or "Daren" on how to speak professionally to customers. Perhaps record the information given to your customer service reps accurately and try NOT using aggressive and seemingly threatening measures to accomplish your goal of retrieving your "equipment" and never use a customers billing & banking information as a weapon against him or her!.

I lived In Paterson, my original location for pick up was Grand St in Paterson HOWEVER because the person who was supposed to drop off the truck decided to drop off in NY, my location pick up location was changed 3 times. Dealing with Uhaul has been a headache an will NOT recommend it to anyone!
