There was trash in the trailer and it wasn’t clean

MICHAEL CU-Haul could significantly improve its location by relocating from a place that sells guns and displays signs promoting firearms. The presence of such signage can be intimidating and uncomfortable for customers, creating an atmosphere that is not ideal for picking up a U-Haul rental. Moving the location to a more neutral and welcoming environment would enhance the overall customer experience and make the process of renting a U-Haul more pleasant and inclusive for all.

Matthew LThe truck was dirty on the floor. Previous renter has very muddy shoes on and I mopped the dirt out so that I would not be accused of returning truck dirty. Otherwise very clean. Ran super. I totally missed a couple of the items such as verifying the license plate before I left and then all the checkin when returning the item. Since it was after hours I failed to do the final return stuff. Would be helpful to maybe have a checkoff sheet of things I needed to do. Since this was my first time ever renting a vehicle, I was totally in the dark. Text messages got to me on delay which caused me to miss the checkout items and return items. Sorry
Emily Sall was good in this rental, this locating and staff was nice to deal with. I will use this location if need to for rental if i need use i the next time. I WILL RECUMEN to all to use .

julie hThe key lock box is in a TERRIBLE spot! It took my boyfriend and I almost 45 minutes to unlock it because there was equipment below it that we couldn't move and it was freezing cold due to the temperature and wind coming off the building around the corner.

james m1. Attendant did not inform me of the circular drive way. 2. Blow a tire on sharp rocks as I attempted to back up to the trailer. 3. Spent an hour and the cost of a tire simply because I did not know about the circular drive way which would have been easier and avoided the sharp rocks and saved me an hour and a tire. 4. The hitch needed to be raised to accommodate the trailer, but the attendant said they had no wrenches to remove the ball. Luckily I was able to use my gas pliers and my vise grips to just barely turn that big nut on the ball and make the adjustment. 5. Trailer had not been swept out, so there was gravel left in it and I was hauling a fancy dining room set.

James VThe check engine light was on when I picked up the truck. Also, the exhaust was extremely loud. There were no pads in the truck, and I was not asked if I wanted or needed any.
Tim hThe truck was not maintained. The exhaust was very loud. I asked for a refund and it was refused. I was told I should have not taken the vehicle or called uhaul for a replacement. I did not know that was an option. The people at the location did not know the loudness of the truck.I wore ear protection while driving. The steering was terrible. At 68 to 74 miles an hour the steering shook. Also when hitting a bump the steering was almost impossible to hold on to. The location told me that if I had issue with the truck I should have gotten another truck. I was under a time crunch and need to travel to get where I was going and get back. I informed the location the truck needs maintenance before renting it again. I was told a maintenance request was submitted. I am still looking for a refund of some amount.

ray nWhen i reserved online, I clicked no Safe travel insurance. When my sister picked up the vehicle and returned it, they charged her $15 plus tax. I would like to have that refunded. She didn't know that to check all the fine print
RITA ATold the uhaul place that the chain on trailer on front and back to tie down car was too short. Safety chains on tongue were too long. Had to buy a set of 4 ratchet straps Then everything was fine. Trailer rode smoothly without issues. I plan to rent it again very soon.
Patricia MThe location was great, equipment great. Service person(young girl) was rude! I will not rent from this location again as long as she works there! Also, when I asked the young boy who "man handled" the hitch onto my vehicle, how in the world am I supposed to get that off my vehicle when I return it on a Sunday ? He had no answer, just looked at me like, I don't know…luckily I found an appliance dolly I used to pry it off…really? How are these big heavy hook ups going to work for disabled people, or anyone not wanting to throw their backs out?

Deborah BVery difficult to make this reservation. Uhaul has the wrong phone number for the site. Got it from a friend. Told they couldn't tell me until the day before the pick up if I got the 10' truck there, or whether I would have to pick up a truck(unknown size) along the 4 hour trip there. The first truck had not been cleaned and reeked of cigarettes. Refused it and asked for other available truck there. They gave us that one, and kudos that they had two 10' trucks or we would have been left with nothing. When trying to return the truck, attempted to use the app, but it kept telling me I had no reservation or rental! Had to call and wait for 20 min to get someone on the phone, and then wait again to be transferred to someone else. Advised to call in the morning to make sure it was noted as returned. Overall, an exhausting and ridiculous process to rent a UHaul.

Carrie BThe Truck was full of dog hair trash was laying around that we cleaned up first. They take a payment of 25 dollars if you bring it back dirty but they don't clean the truckS either. Staff is very nice an helpful.
