The gas gauge on this vehicle did not function correctly and resulted in me filling way too much fuel upon the return of the vehicle. I have photographs proving that the gauge didn't move, but U-Haul want nothing to hear about it, they do not care. I spoke to the franchisee owner and U-Haul customer service and they both say the same thing which is that they are not responsible for overfilling the tank. I told them my dispute is not the fill but the defective gauge. I would like someone to call me back. Someone owes me for a half tank!Derek B.

There were coffee stains in the cockpit. The owner was racist, generalized my birthplace just by my surname( exact words : "are you from UP or Bihar(poorer and crime ridden place in India)?" also told me about the child marriage documentary he saw on BBC about India and used abusive language while describing the things he saw on TV.Bhupinder Y.

I will say the renting of the truck went well, I did that by phone and when we went to pick it up were helped over an ubove. Our experience with the storage unit however was another matter, the location on Brunswick lost/gave away our reservation and we ended being stuck outside in the snow having to rent a smaller unit.(luckily everything fit just! No room for anything else) I called the manager and was told the system isn't working properly.... well that is not our fault fix your service so you don't have that complete mess that happened. I wasn't given any help or special pricing just said we could go to another location! Excuse me you gave away our reservation you fix it and make it right, don't send us somewhere else that is not convenient for your costumers! Not impressed with Uhaul storage, what is worse is when i rented the truck i reserved the storage at the same time to make this smooth and facilitate our needs. So maybe Uhaul should just stick with trucks they seems good with that.Eileen L.

I had reserved a furniture dolly more than 2 weeks prior and the agent at this location said that he doesn't have one. I had to go to 65 Brunswick Ave. to pick one up. The rest was okay.Pietro N.
Be more transparent. e.g. I was told cargo van only available at 10am but needed one for 9am so had to cancel plans, then when I got there cargo van available had no functioning turning signals in rear, I had no choice but to take it as plans would have been costly to change again. The right back turning light was burnt out. A traffic hazard when driving at night. This was noticed by a friend following me to help to load and unload the cargo. I will call the Uhaul customer service this Monday. Worst experience in the last days. As I talked with the Uhaul agent when I reserved the truck for not adding anything else, only the truck and I saw in the bill some extra fee about insurance or something similar. Also the truck was completed of oil in the back and the ramp, I couldn't see when I took the truck, if I knew that I didn't take, I waste time to clean that instead to concentrate me in my moving out and scare on my friends to felt because the floor was sleepy. Some issues with information on website, ie - mixing of km and miles, some inconsistencies, confusion. I had difficulty scanning my license. Owner of JMI was extremely helpful, courteous, available for questions and very patient. The process was smooth and uncomplicated. Cargo van was perfect for the job and reliable. First while calling for reservation, I asked for a small van because I needed to move a motorcycle. The lady on the phone sold me 15ft truck saying it was better as it has a ramp. I was pretty sure it was too high, she told me it would be ok. It was not. When I arrived to took the truck I emmit doubts but the guy told me it would be fine. I took the truck drove it for 17 miles tried to put the bike in by myself and of course was too high. When bringing back the truck litterally 20 min later, the guy close his shop at 18h that was supposed to be open until 22.30... never answered the phone and then I had to drop the keys in the box and left with no means to move my bike... Then he charged me 97$ for no service at all...It is my second major disapointment with uhaul in a month. I am livid and I will stay away from Uhaul forever.Matthieu G.

My complaint is that when I returned the truck I had filled the gas tank to the same amount as when I got the truck in the first place. After returning the truck after hours using the key drop off, I was later notified that I did not fill the gas enough and would be charged for it. I brought it back with the gas gauge reading the same as when I left! I will not be using U-Haul in the future.ROBERTO JR D.

I had to wait for one hour and a half to get the truck that I reserved. The door latching was damaged and went loose while driving and the ramp fell down. The truck roof leaks as well. I have a video and pictures. Very unprofessional, I was extremely shocked by the the very bad condition of the truck and even the uhaul customer service refused to offer help over the phone and acted so irresponsible. Truck was fantastic. A few glitches when trying to get the photos sent when getting the truck and returning it but "Donna" from the help line was incredible. She helped me get it done and had one of the best customer service experiences I gave ever had. Very pleased.Chris S.

This morning I got a call from U-haul office (not my pick up location) from the phone number 514-684-3273 first at 9:39 am to which I requested an extension of keeping the U-haul vehicle until 1400 hours, which she did not agree and asked me to bring the vehicle back for 12 pm. Then at 9:42 am I got a call back from the same number where she told me that I could could return the U-haul vehicle at 1400 hours. Then around 10:30 am I got a call from Depanneur JMI (location from where I rented) to bring the U-haul vehicle back by 12pm, to which I explained him about my earlier conversation with the U-haul agent and agreement to bring the vehicle back at 1400 hours. He said there was no such update on my booking. Then I called back U-haul office at the number 514-684-3273, maybe it was some other girl who answered the phone (not the one who had called me on the morning), so I updated her about my previous conversation with the representative who called me from that number at 9:39 and then at 9:42. The agent with whom I was talking to was very rude, and told me to bring back the truck by 12pm and when I tried to explain her what I was promised earlier, she became more rude and completely ignored me and hung up on me. I called back on the same number and the same ride woman answered the phone, so we asked for a manger. she was even more rude this time and said â€œthere is no manager available, and you are arguing with meâ€ and she hung up the phone again. I was very disappointed with this rude behaviour from U-haul staff at the phone number 514-684-3273. I have always rented vehicles from U-haul, at least 3 times between Jan to May and did not appreciate this behaviour. I would want you to please either call me or email me on what action would the U-haul management take on this action from a very rude employee. Il me tarde de recevoir votre appel. Thank you. The truck pick-up location had good service, but the U-Haul customer service department has VERY BAD service that I would rate not even 1 star !!!!! I was charged TWICE for the truck rental (one amount in the morning when I picked-up the truck, and then another amount when I brought it back !!!!) And I called U-Haul to get refunded for the morning "deposit", but it's been 4 days now and I STILL have not got refunded yet !!!!! They should ONLY hold the amount when you pick-up the truck, and charge you the "real" amount (with real mileage) after you bring the truck back, NOT both amounts !!!!!! So watch out people, make sure you check your credit card bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DANIEL G.

What you are doing is wrong and needs to be changed. When I picked up the vehicle I was told that the contract has been e-mailed to me and i was not given any paper work. What if I was stopped by the police and needed to prove the vehicle was not stolen? This is the problem you are faced with. You are assuming that everyone has a phone and contract will be on the phone. Well I got news for you: it is NOT a law yet not to have a phone. For 98 % of the cases you will have no problem but for the others what you are doing is wrong, and against the law!! Why should you take this risk and be faced with anyone in this percent of people? Until owning a phone is made law and maybe having it surgically implanted to my body one day, I will not be one of the people that is seen constantly staring down to their phone when walking, driving and doing everything else while at the same time tripping over and bumping into things not to mention falling off what they are walking on. What you are doing is NOT yet legal and should be changed!! Otherwise everything else was good.Bill M.
