The equipment was clean, but mechanically it was in terrible shape. The small right mirror was held in place with tape and the larger right mirror flapped in the wind so as to make it useless. Good thing I had someone riding with me to hold it so I could use it when I needed to change lanes. And the transmission was also in terrible shape. Every time I changed from Drive to Reverse, there was a VERY loud “clunk” that shook the whole truck. It really needs to be fixed!

Uhaul was not safe to drive. Steering wheel was sideways when driving straight appeared to have transmission issues as well. I was not able to reach uhaul. Lady at pickup location said that all the systems were down. The check engine light was on too. I've rented many uhauls over the years and never had so many issues. This truck needs to be removed from service before you are responsible for someone's death. Had I not had such a short window with no flexibility I would never have driven it.

The lady who owns the antique store and does the uhaul, she was super helpful. I wish i caught her name, but she was kind and let me know all the important things for my first time.

I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone. My original location overbooked and switched locations to one off of baseline and McClintock and it did not have an employee on site to help me with getting the keys so customer service moved me to this location(desert mercantile). They originally did not tell me which lot the truck was in so I was wandering around in 104 degree heat to find it finally I went inside and told them the truck wasn't there. They proceeded to say they forgot to mention it's in the back lot. That truck did not start, then they got me a new truck. This truck worked for 5 minutes and then the A/C would go in and out while driving.

Mary, the awesome lady that checked me in was a doll. What a wonderful personality, very thorough and a pleasure to deal with. She made it so easy and . . . she is an outstanding "Representative" and advertisement for U-Haul. The next thing was the Ford Van I rented. It was like "Brand New", and was the most outstanding and easy vehicle to drive. It was clean, gassed, a remarkable vehicle. Made my job so easy and the overall cost, experience was superb. I will use this merchant and company again and again. Awesome experience and very reasonable. Thank You, Larry "O"

Mary at Desert Mercantile was awesome. I had trouble with the U-Haul app. She saved me on the day that I arrived because the app was not recognizing where I was at so she took care of it in her store. Thanks, Mary.

The safe travel was added on to my bill without my knowledge or consent, the woman at the conter was very disinterested in helping me, the combination lock on the back of the truck was metal in the Arizona sun making it painful to open up the back, the app stopped functioning making it very difficult to return my truck late at night in that sketchy parking lot while a dust storm blew in. Also my truck did not have a ramp so this overall had been my worst experience with U-Haul

the front of the van was covered with bird poop including on the windshield.. I disputed the cleanliness when i checked it out. I realize it was a busy weekend but this was the very first time in renting that the cargo van was that dirty when i picked it up.

The rental went well, but we did receive the truck with what looked like donut crumbs inside. Not a big deal, really. The return was easy and all customer service was great. Would certainly use again.

The lady that checked out my rental was extremely rude, no customer service at all. If I didn't have a time crunch for the job I had I would of went to another location for rental. I felt extremely disrespected, and almost like it was a burden I was even there. Wouldn't ever recommend renting a U-Haul from this location. 2 thumbs down

It took over 30 minutes to drop off the truck since the app would not work and kept asking me to try later. I was not told to create an account when I picked up the truck, and when I wanted to drop it off, it asked me to sign in to my account. On a very busy day of moving, i had no time to waste, and yet I had no choice but to sit there and wait on the phone for assistance (that ended up helping me by asking me to log into the website, which meant I didn't even need to download the app that wouldn't work).

U-Haul had their whole system out the day we were suppose to grab the truck. The gal who was taking care of me handled it exceptionally well and kept apologizing for everything as if it were her fault. Things happen and her calmness kept me calm. Although it wasn't a rush to move. She made sure to call me once system was back on so I could be first to get my truck.

Have better customer service when your equipment breaks down and offer to get customer a replacement vehicle as soon as it breaks down. Have better communication between all locations so customer doesn't get over charged cause y'all not taking proper notes on what happened

Great and friendly customer service. The only issue I had with the equipment was the fact the the passenger side view Mirra was lose and any bump I would hit would cause the mirror to swing.

The shocks on the trailer was so bad after a few days of driving the nut came off the ball and the trailer popped off and slammed into the back of the car. The sound of the rickety trailer was also obnoxious.

Brother sister team working here and they work well together. Recently went through a rush move-in that saw me having way less time than i should of. They were very friendly, and amazing calm which i appreciate as someone who deals with anxiety troubles. She took care to explain everything so i absolutely knew the ins and outs. Best experience I've had at a U-Haul so far customer service wise. I even lost my AirPods case and had to return to find them, she was able to help me locate them in minutes. You are a blessing miss!

Charged 84 for 2 hours for a 15ft truck. The truck had potato chips all over the cab and the women we rented from, made us take pictures of everything before we left and she would not help when dropped back off, told us we had to do it ourselves. Had no internet connection on my phone and I had to call U-Haul customer service to do it. Never using Uhaul again.

We had a frustrating experience here. It started out ok.. just very slow. but then there was a flag on an emergency contact we listed and we were advised to call customer service. They immediately noted that it was a mistake and removed the flag, and said to have them run the rental again. The employee refused to run it again, insisted that we would have to go up the road to the Uhaul center to be helped, and refused to speak with the representative i had on the phone. She said she "had" to call her own representative. We waited SO long for her to get whatever confirmation she needed which she NEVER got. The customer service person i had on the phone tried his best to help us but this on-site employee was very uncooperative. To quote, my experience was "highly unorthodox and not according to normal procedure" and he even kept asking me if i wanted to go somewhere else! I tried to be understanding that they just wanted to cover themselves but it got excessive. Even after it seemed like things were finally moving forward, the employee said she was "getting the keys" but took so long when i went to look for her she was actually getting her manager. It become highly frustrating i had to call customer service again, thankfully got the same guy who insisted that he could find me a new place to go. While on hold, i got a call from another Uhaul representative who asked to speak to the manager who, thankfully, agreed to speak to her on speaker. All she said was "you are clear to release this rental." thats it. he said "ok." and that was it. ALL that time waiting and the employee who just wouldnt cooperate and who was STILL on hold with whoever she was trying to talk to. By this time she also started helping someone else, in the middle of our problem, which i felt was extremely rude. i waited a little while to see if she would even acknowledge us but i had to interrupt just to ask "are we free to go then?" and yea, we were. Everyone on the phone was great but i would NEVER recommend anyone go to this location for their rental. Claiming to follow the rules but according to Uhaul, she was not. And, nothing she said to expect (like a text message to start the rental process and upload photos, a confirmation email etc.) ever happened. I had to call customer service AGAIN to ask questions to make sure everything was good to go. The truck itself was in good shape but dirty on the inside. The floors were covered in rocks and dirt, clearly had not been cleaned in a while. The whole experience was not good. Even when returning the truck, instructions for this location for after hours were to drop keys in a lock box and even provided a code for a tumble lock which was INCORRECT. It didnt even need a code to open and drop the keys inside. Such a pain. This whole experience overall was not good.

Let them know if you're not going to be open when they're scheduled to pickup their equipment. And I'm not a fan of the turn-in by phone requirement. But, that's just me being a geezer. Otherwise, everything went very well.

The center is awesome, but corporate is horrible as we were driving 2 hours with rain delays and our reservation was canceled because we were 15 minutes late. Horrible. But the center managed to get us a truck anyway

It wasn't so much the location as much as all the problems I had picking up the trucks. I was left sitting in a parking lot at 2:30 in the morning twice. I even had to pay for an Uber because U-Haul rep scheduled my pickup for the wrong time.

The attendant was using his phone, so he couldn't see the main portal. Then he sent me the link to check out the truck, and it was an error! So I just took pictures of all sides, and scratches!

Trailer did not have a electrical whip to hook to my truck I had to go purchase and make one from the auto parts store, the rear chains were broken so I had to purchase a hook and tie downs. O was originally supposed to pick up the trailer at a different location and no one was present. The I called the 800 number in order to try and reach someone and they sent me to the new location…. I was double charged not sure why. It was a disaster
