When I arrived to pick up the reserved vehicle and trailer they had been separated. The truck had a quarter tank of fuel but yet charged me for fuel even though I returned it with a half of a tank. The moble app wouldn't work and allow me to return the vehicle. I had to document the damage on the side of the vehicle when I picked it up. I was also charged for exactly 100 hundred miles of use but clearly didn't drive 100 miles locally. I would tell anyone looking to rent document everything and take a lot of pictures of the truck odometer and fuel gauge.BRET M.

The day of our rental went very smoothly. The actual reservation however was a headache. The size we reserved was not actually available at the location we selected, it shouldn't show it available then. Our reservation was changed to a farther location which would have cost us more in mileage so we had to change the location again.Andrew R.

I live in Washington state and it was a rainy day so the van a little muddy when I return it they charged me 25 $for that and were rude about it in my opinion it's pretty expensive for how muddy it is was special since i drove it only in town ! Pick up and drop off were ok. The frustration for us was... we made the reservation 2 weeks + in advance for pick up closest to our house and the drop off closest to the moving destination. Both locations were changed by the company, which involved many extra miles driving for us and (bridge)tolls. When choices are offered for pick up/drop off locations and reservations made- those should be honored and planned for by the company. Otherwise...what's the point?EARL HARRY S.
I had scheduled a pickup at the Fircrest location but the people never brought the truck back and I was told someone would reach out to me and find me another vehicle. No one contacted me so two hours later I had to call and facilitate getting a new truck rented. I was very disappointed in the lack of communication on your end. Glad I don't have to do this everyday. I had a group of people waiting around for the call that never came.Alicia D.

Why don't you ask about the reservation process? Absolutely terrible. I booked one truck and was called less than 24 hours prior to pick up and told that size wasn't available! Told I could drive 50 miles to pick up this size. Had to take a smaller one causing us to pack different. No discount for the inconvenience. Would never recommend Uhaul!Daniel W.
Take a moment to go through the steps of the truck. Get up from behind the desk and walk through the truck and explain what drop off instructions are. Because of COVID your team are lazy and just hand the keys over and expect a person to understand what to do. You can still have customer service while you wear your mask. Rental price was changed from original contract without explanation and per mileage rate vs daily rental was not explained. We rented under premise of 19,95 $ a day and 0,37 cents a mile. A clerk changed rental fee to 99,00 $ + mileage and never explained difference. We drove 127 miles. 19,95 $ a day @ 0,37 mile is approx 40 $less than 99 $a day for 100 miles included then overage beyond that. This is completely unacceptable. Facility looks more like a daycare than a business. Staff was unwilling to work with me when the movers (from U-Haul) gave me wrong information and charged my account more money then quoted. I was planning on using this location for the 3rd time but will go somewhere else now.MARGARET B.

I recommend ordering online and filling out the form online. I did that and was out the door in 5 mins. Great service! Thanks! Will definitely use again. I did not get any extra charges added on my bill and the bill was less than they projected because I drive less miles than I told them I expected. Avoid U-Haul! They charged me for damages to their truck that I didn't do. The location I used had an after hours drop off. I left their truck in the same condition that I received it and they charged me for a scratch that I wasn't responsible for. Their investigation process was a photo of the scratch. No reply when I tried to contact them to dispute the charges. Rent equipment from the Home Depot. The horror stories about U-Haul are true.TRACY LEE K.

When I returned the van I had swept it out, and while it wasn't spotless I thought it was fine. I was charged a cleaning fee. And then a day later they said a minor tear to the mat that happened while moving (the mat still covered the floor) required me to replace the whole mat. So basically I not only was charged to better clean the mat but also replace it. I acknowledge it wasn't spotless and there was a small tear, but being charged both fees feels excessive and I will not be using uhaul in the future.Nicola C.
Everything with the equipment and checkout proceedure with fine. I was just a little annoyed that I drove 9 miles total, had put in 1 gallon of fuel, and they still charged me 8,50 $ for gas. Not sure how that is possible, but I did not feel like making it an issue.Aaron K.

We called when we got Into Tacoma like the contract said and all we were told were to go in the â€œOxford entranceâ€ and then they hung up. We pulled in and there was no one around, so we parked the trailer in a clear spot so we were out of the way. A woman came out screaming at us not to park there and wanted us to move it. So we hooked it back up, and moved it to an extremely difficult spot (due to other trailers, the fence and posts in the parking lot). Once we got it parked and unhooked the woman continued to be rude to us and when I asked if o needed to sign anything for drop off she scoffed and said â€œno You'll get an emailâ€ and walked away. I use uhaul frequently for car trailers but I can certainly say I will never use this location again.Sarah F.

Mary, the owner, was very rude and unprofessional. She lied and caused me a panic attack. She said I tried to renew the contract and was told to have the vehicle back at 7 am. The contract was for until the third. I thought I had the day. She says no and that she would charge me for the day because I was late. I returned the only phone call this morning at 7:45 and had the vehicle returned at 8 am. I was unable to add gas so I was charged full premium price. I told Mary and Angelina that I was medically fragile and in the coordinated entry program because I have been evicted and abused. Social workers are helping me with my physical needs. Despite knowing this Mary was dismissive and rude. She lied. I never called to renew the contract yesterday, September 2nd. Everything she does and says to that end cannot be trusted. I have phone records. Unnecessary rush caused an unnecessary panic attack with a woman in trauma. I am not happy with the service and disrespect. She did not even want me to come inside to settle the matter. She was demanding the key from outside. Racism. I am a Black woman.Pamela F.
