I scheduled pickup for a truck and dolly to be picked up at 10am. At 9:40am, the location attempted to contact me to let me know the dolly would not be available. Since I was prepping things for the move, I missed the call and found out upon arrival. I told the employee that it was a necessary tool for our move and he told us we'd have to find another one and did not offer and apology or any assistance. When I asked if he could help us locate one, he made very little effort to do so. He called two locations, one picked up and the other told him to call back in an hour. After that, he basically just stood there and could not provide any additional guidance. We explained that we were on a tight timeline, but he again did not offer assistance. After about 10 minutes and growing increasingly frustrated, we asked to get the key to the truck and we'd figure it out on our own. There was no sense of urgency from him and he expressed that he was confused as to what was going on. We told him yet again that we needed the key to the truck since we were on a tight timeline and now had to spend additional time finding the dolly required to move our belongings. Another employee walked in at about the 15 min mark and yelled over the first employee â€œwe don't have a dollyâ€ to which we responded that we already knew and were frustrated because we needed it. He said â€œwell it's not our fault that two others had not returned the trucks and dollies by 7am as scheduled. We tried to call you.â€ My response was â€œwell 20 minutes would not have given us enough time to figure it out, but maybe calling earlier when the returns weren't there would have.â€ Neither of them offered an apology or any form of assistance, we just got excuses about it not being their fault and they continued to delay giving us the key. At this point, my boyfriend and I were incredibly frustrated and more stressed than we were from what had already been a difficult moving experience. After I filled out everything, the first employee continued to make excuses and we finally had to tell him very sternly to just give us the key so we could go. He finally went and grabbed the key and handed it to my boyfriend even though I was the one that has just provided my ID and paid for it. This was incredibly insulting and validated what had already been made clear, he had zero respect for me from the beginning. My boyfriend and I had to spend an extra hour tracking down a dolly in addition to extra miles on the truck and gas wasted. This further delayed us and causes others to wait because we couldn't move the belonging were were getting from them without a dolly. I ended up dropping the truck off an hour after our original scheduled time. When I walked in to return the key, the employee that had walked in halfway through the pickup transaction was there. I told him I was there to drop the truck off and he asked if I was okay. I immediately told him that I was frustrated and stressed with this whole process and the lack of assistance provided when we expressed how important the dolly was. He then began to yell at me and told me it wasn't their fault and that I was incredibly rude. He told me to check my phone and figure out how to return the truck myself after taking the key off the counter. Every bit of calm I had in me left my body and I lost it on him. He had no interest in listening to me and continued to scream over me. He also told me that U-Haul was very difficult and I should have known not to use them, so it was really my fault. I told him he shouldn't be a contractor for them if it is that difficult and walked out. If you are looking for a place to rent a U-Haul, I'd advise you to avoid this place at all costs. The employees are rude, offer no assistance when needed, and will blame you for their inability to do their job. I will not be back for a U-Haul or for gas. I've also spread the word to others that use their gas station to go down the street instead. U-Haul, I strongly advise you pull your contract with this horrible business or you risk losing customers permanently.Heather K.

The guy who rented me the vehicle knew what he was doing...quick and efficient. They had 5 trucks to choose from...that was good. The suspension on the truck was terrible...perhaps it is the nature of the beast. I got what I needed. But to have to pay ~$80 + gas for 3 hours of use is just crazy.Don L.

I was told that the truck I reserved was not returned yet and was given a different similar 15' truck. The dolly attachment was broken. The truck was not clean with the small pieces of the furniture and some kind of the pads laying on the shelf. I did not think that this may cause an issue when I return the tuck When I returned the truck, I was charged for cleaning. The guy stated that the truck was dirty, and he cleaned the truck himself. And there was a lot of dust and something else. I do not recommend renting from this facilityMichael Y.

I got a confirmation email with an address. I went there and while I was checking in, I was given a second address. When I went to the second address, the guy checking me in asked me "why are you late?" As I was checking in with him, he told me not to be late or I would be charged late fees. I had reserved on line for 24 hours, and so I asked him if I needed to have it back by 10am or 10:30, and he said my reservation was only until 6pm that night. My confirmation email said 24 hours. The guy at the rental place said, I had to have it back because he had someone else renting it starting at 8pm. Moving is already stressful. These all seem like problems either with your reservation system or employees. These are not hard fixes.Amanda R.

Not even worth it.. even charged me a $20 after business return. Guy told me to have it back by 8:30pm for a 3 hour move - come to find out he closed at 8 and I got there at 8:05 - ridiculous - better off going to a uhaul main facility as opposed to a sister site - never again. First off I was charged 3 times for a grand total of 180 for less than 72 hours which is absolutely ridiculous. I paid for 30 miles and only put 6 miles on the truck so not sure why I was charged so much when I was only supposed to be charged for one extra day. I will not ever recommend that anyone even go to this convenience store as the clerk is highly dishonest. He told me it was 20 for the dolly and took 40 and never gave me the change for it, I told him I gave him too much and he completely ignored me and acted like I didn't say anything. So all in all with the extra 20 this cost me over 200 I'm incredibly disappointed with this entire experience and honestly disgusted by the behavior of the employee.Sara Trinity R.

Im disputing charges now, if uhaul does not refund me ill have Amex do itâ€¦ what i paid for online they slapped on some extra fees when i picked up the truck when i didn't know then charged me more after bringing it back when they said i was all set everything looked good. Also never sent me a receipt for the â€œextra feesâ€Toby H.
The owner told me to leave the car when I pulled up to the pump to fill it up, he told me not to worry about it and that another person was waiting for the truck, then he charges me a refuel fee and gas for 11 gallons when I picked it up it was below half a tank so why did he not let me fill it up then charge me for more gas than how I received the car, this is ridiculous. I want a refund immediately for those chages...Jaylon M.

The truck was not available at the original location, we had to travel to another dealership. It was dirty inside, the dashboard had multiple splashes of something that looked like melted ice cream. The passenger side door does not close fully, we were told to just "put some tape over it" instead of being offered another truck. Then the location for our tow dolly pick up was moved an hour before we were supposed to pick it up. It was moved to a location that was over an hour drive away. Because of this delay (2,5 hour round trip just to get the tow dolly) we had to delay our move by a day, which put us in the middle of a snow storm on our route. Then we were charged an extra $400 for the tow dolly, even though I had already paid for the truck and dolly as a package weeks ago. The charge still has not been reversed despite multiple promises that it would happen. This has been the worst experience and I will go with Penske for future moves.Hansel L.

When I got to my loading my truck I was sent away and told I need to get my things the next morning. Since I had only had the truck for a short time I took it back. I spoke to the gentleman at the location about extending my rental from six to 24hrs. The rental agency told me that there was already a reservation for my truck in the morning. That he had another 15 foot truck if I wanted to make a new reservation. This meant it was going to cost me more money in order to keep the truck for what I needed. There isn't any reason I should have been denied the chance to extend my truck rental to 24 hrs for free. When you book your truck it's the same price for 6-24 hrs. It's very disheartening that I spent $160 to use a truck for 6 hrs and didn't even get done the things needed. I hope that U haul will be able to give me a truck rental for free next weekend. If I were able to get a few hrs Saturday it would make me not only happy but my wife and new born baby as well. You see the reason I need the truck is because my wife had our first little girl yesterday and I have all our baby furniture in storage. I need our bassinet and other baby furniture in order to set up our apt.RYAN H.

the location added coverage that I specifically declined both in my on-line booking and again at the location. The location also added $42 in fuel charges after 1) giving me a truck with less gas than reflected in my contract 2) I filled up the truck at their gas station in front of the clerk to more gas than was reflected in my final contract. I expect at least a $60 refund. Clearly a scam being run by this location.Alexander L.
