The only thing that I really didn’t like was them not having a truck in the town I requested and understand that it will happen but they gave me extra miles but with having that I still over the mileage!!

Not a fan of using an app, in-person business is always preferred. Of course, I'm old and miss interacting with real people.
Charlie FraleyThe main issue with the location is that there is no service technician that rotates through to oil the equipment. The vehicle dolly has ratcheting mechanisms which did not function initially due to binding from a lack of oil. Fortunately, the state trooper who pulled me over on I70 was able to demonstrate to me how to properly use the safety chains and set up the straps. The location very rarely gets rentals picked up there. It is so rare they might rent out one UHaul a month. I actually spoke to a regional supervisor to execute the transaction because they were unaccustomed on site to using the UHaul system with customers. Despite the lack of business the manager was very helpful. She spotted for me when I was backing up for which I am extremely grateful. Functioning as a UHaul representative is a very rare and minor task for the innkeeper. She was pleasant and very professional. I considered staying there for the night but I would have had to double back from where I was staying to remain there. The regional manager who completed the transaction by phone was exceptional. My rental ended up running over a day on the vehicle dolly. I must admit I did not understand how to use the safety chains until a patrolman pulled me over for one dragging ground and throwing sparks. The rental location rarely gets any UHaul business. I think it is mostly used as a drop off for equipment. I admit that the trailers were very difficult to get out of the back yard behind the building. I was dissatisfied with how the access driveway to pick up the equipment was a very narrow ally through which I had to back up carefully as there was no way to orient the truck with nose out given that the equipment I was picking up was hitch end away from the ally. There was room to pull in front of it but it was impossible to turn around. The exit required backing up around one of two ninety degree corners which offered extremely limited maneuverability. What I am really trying to say is they need a street side access to get to the equipment rather than putting it behind the building in a tight square yard. The inn keeper being a woman was unlikely to have experience with the trailer or it's maintenance. That is not in any way meant to sound sexist. She was a fantastic lady. I enjoyed talking to her. UHaul needs to inspect all of their car haulers regionally and oil the mechanisms for securing straps as mine were frozen on pick up due to mechanical binding in the metal from a lack of lubricant. That is the most important thing I have to convey about the equipment. Kansas salts its roads and there is winter weather. This makes oiling extremely important and it must be done regularly. I was fortunate to have received an Amazon package that was still sealed in the cab of the UHaul with exactly one can of WD-40 Premium that day. It was as though it was meant to be.

Charolette VargasGreat service and helped with a last minute rental.
kristal kostiewThe people at the location were not the problem, they did their job just fine. The problem was dealing with the person at the call center. She was rude and disrespectful to the person at the location and also to me. Thanks to the way the call center rep acted I will always check for other options before considering U-haul.
Paul MorrisonThe lady who accepted our truck was a bit rude. I understand that we had to drop off late, but that was our only option.
RACHAEL TEMAATKeep smiling Vickie 😁
Vicki MartinI was over charged
Keeven Hendricksdidn't give me full information on extra day. Charged 2 days even though it was a day late. Did let me drop the transport early and hold it
Christina TaylorWe needed a trailer a.s.a.p. @5:30 on a Saturday morning.... we were very pleased and grateful that the young lady was on-site and more than willing to help us out! Big thanks to Vickie at the Dighton Inn!
Jerry SchultzVickie was awesome.
Greg andersonI had a short wait to get someone there to check me in. I wasn't in a hurry so it isn't a big deal but once they got there everything went well. I live in a small town and realize that staff might have had an errand to run but I was just a little puzzled at first.
William PenkaTools to help customers / knowledge. Also, "POOR" rating to U-Haul for re-routing my pick up location to a backwoods, no-nothing town in the middle of nowhere for pick-up. I reserved my trailer a month in advance so that this would NOT happen but it still did. U-Haul provides NO GURANTEE that you can pick up or drop off at specific locations so your screwed if you are on a schedule.
Vincent CairelliDoug worked very hard to get things ready for us and did excellent customer service for us!
Richard BannerDoug is excellent. Double checks the equipment before I take off and available all the time for the return. Thanks, Karen
