They said the truck was full but it was slightly under. They told me to verify the mileage but didn’t invite me to go outside to check for myself, so I signed the paperwork anyway just to show some trust. Never doing that again especially because they charged me an extra $10ish dollars for “EZfuel” even though I told them I filled it up and I filled it way past the condition I initially received it. This is why people go through long paperwork processes because people don’t do the right thing. It should be a simple process if people don’t nickel and dime by scamming. Never again will use and will recommend this small business dealer.

I had no problem with this location. The problem was with the reservation process. I was scheduled to pick up at the City Heights location in San Diego, but when I arrived, I was told that the van I was renting was moved to a different, further location. Not only did I not get a warning about this, but the confirmation still said that I was to pick up at the original location. This change made me pay more to get to my van, pay for for gas while returning the vehicle, and it caused me to be late to other places I had to be soon after picking up the van.

Start by renting hauls that actually work.. Then when you are supposed to issue a refund don't make the customer months to get a refund. Buy the way I still haven't received my refund. Next stop for me is to go on Yelp and let consumers what a terrible experience I had dealing with your company

It wasn’t clear to us that we were not going to a U-Haul facility but to a secondary facility. So we had trouble finding the location because we didn’t see U-Haul signs. When I originally selected a location, I was later emailed an alternate location. Other than that, everything was great.

Parking can be tight sometimes, especially if you are returning the vehicle when the bar next door is busy at night. Maybe designate spots for vans/trucks only.

The employees at the location were professional and helpful. However, the van I rented had a bad smell--almost like animal manure. In addition, this is not the fault of the location, but the branch I was assigned to pick up my van was changed twice after I reserved my van online. This location in particular was very out of the way and caused my mileage expense to go up significantly. I requested a discount over the phone to take this fact into consideration and was refused. In the future it would be more helpful to keep the online inventory of what vehicles are available more up to date to avoid forcing people to travel far out to get their vehicle. I do not appreciate that the website makes UHaul's services and availability appear more convenient than they really are.
