It was not Brandon location, but where I returned next day on Pembina Highway. I returned Sunday June 12/22. They charged me an extra day on June 14/22 saying I returned it on this day I did not take a picture when I returned it. I asked them to check their security cameras. They say that I returned it as they say on June 14/22 I guess I will have to get police advice on how I can prove to them that I returned it Sunday June 12/22 so they can refund my money. When I returned, I noticed the incorrect name so I gave my ID again so she can correctly input it into the system. While the pickup location did a great job with customer service. UHaul as a company did nothing but under deliver and cause stress and confusion to an already hectic situation. My original pick up was changed to a town over an hour out of my way and just as I was pulling into that town I was called to say there was no truck for me to pick upâ€¦ after more than 2 hours delayed I got to my original pick up location to my only option being a 26' truck when I ordered a 15' truck. The company basically did nothing to compensate me for more than 2 hours delay and a truck I wasn't overly comfortable to drive.Jackie L.

I had to rent a u haul truck and dollies from this place. And then found out the woman I dealt with did nothing but lie to me, she told me I need to pay despoit, that she would e transfer me my refund, and she spelled my name wrong. I contacted u haul since it been a week, with no refund. And they told me that I only had to pay a deposit it I was using cash, that their company doesn't do etransfer. And when the lady I dealt with called to tell I was getting a refund that my name was spelled wrong and she said she would fix it and she didn't. I was litererally there for 3 hours trying to get a funtional trailer, i was told i was fine to have it for as long as i needed by the lady at the desk, i was also told my grandmother could pay by card over the phone, both of which were complete BS. I will not be returning to Uhaul in brandon again. it was the worst service ive gotten from any rental company. Like i get someone is waiting to goto edmonton but how is that my problem. i told the people 2 DAY TRAILER RENTAL both on the phone and in person. idk where in translation that got lost but i have little to no faith in uhaul. Id also like to add that a call every 20 minutes when im not done my day with the trailer is a real shi tthing to do to someone. Discount tire in brandon should no be a uhaul location.Brett M.
Trailer was parked in a tight spot so I wasn't able to hook up to it. I had to pull it out by hand. I realize they are limited on space, but with that in mind they should pull them out to be ready for the customer. I had a bigger truck, but even a small suv wouldn't have been able to hook on and drive away without hitting one of the vehicles on either side.JORDAN A.
Check your trucks before you rent them to your customers. The shifter cable was frozen and the truck wasn't shifting properly as soon as we started it. Also the door lock jammed on us mid rental and we had to squeeze through the passenger side to the drivers seat.Andrea C.

The dolly and moving blankets I paid for were not in the truck. It made the move more difficult. At the time of booking, I was not made aware that I would need to pick up truck with my phone. I originally booked with 2025 lyndale drive in Brandon as it says online it's open sunday When I was called and told I would need to pick up from a different location I assumed it also would be open. When I arrived to pick up the truck the place was closed. I did not have data on my phone to complete the pick up. I called uhaul and the gentleman I spoke with on the phone was quite abrupt/uncaring when telling me I needed to use my phone or I would not be able to have the truck (you may listen to the conversation as it as was recorded). He did not believe me when I said it was listed online that the original uhaul placed I booked with was open sundays. I checked again after and it does say it's open sundays. You may see it for yourself online. Then I had to drive home, contact a friend to come with me, then navigate the online pick up. I was paying people to help with the move and they were paid to sit waiting for an hour while I figured out how to pick up the truck. After finally getting the keys to the truck we discovered the dolly and blankets I paid for were not there. I called uhaul again. The woman I spoke with at that time was helpful with arranging the refund for dolly/blankets. But it did not help with moving the items that needed them. I am, overall, frustrated and disappointed with my experience today.Gale B.

Returned equipment after hours, did not deal with anybody. As for Uhaul itself, this was the absolute worst experience I've had with a company, I will never use this companies services again after this fiasco, and I will certainly go out of my way to ensure I steer anybody I know that wants to use Uhaul away and towards a more reputable company.Jacques L.

Uhaul is a joke of a company. Less than 24 hours had to search for a trailer because asshole uhaul less than 24 hours to throwing date, decides to call to let us know that the trailer that I had reserved 2 weeks in advance was unavailable in Brandon. Ended up dealing directly with the local dealer as uhaul itself is a joke. Same thing happened this morning to a coworker this morning. Booked a trailer 2 weeks ago to move from Brandon to Saskatoon and is moving tomorrow. Uhaul called him this morning and told him there is no trailer, seriously he plans on moving tomorrow. Stay away from this joke of a company, save the frustration.Cal J.
So, you are not really looking for feedback on the vehicle and my experience, so here it is... I booked a 10' Truck, was "upgraded" to a 15" Truck which I did not need. This increased by fuel cost (unnecessarily) by close to $100.00. I'm not happy about that. In addition, I had a wrapped TV in "Mom's Attic" and encountered some rain close to Vancouver. Upon unloading the Wrapping on the TV was Soaking wet. Luckily, the moisture did not damage the TV, but this was not a good thing, as clearly your truck is leaking. Overall I am not pleased with the increase in cost for my move and the state of the truck in regards to the leaking.Burton C.

Location was fine but I will never rent a uhaul again based off my experience. I made my reservation and accidently included all supplies, I called in to cancel but had a 50 minute wait so I opted for a call back. In 4 minutes I canceled the supplies but it needed a representative from uhaul to confirm. The person called back and confirmed they only saw the truck and no supplies. The following day I received an email the supplies shipped. I called in again and had another long wait. I got the call back and said 1 item shipped and it was too late to cancel. Then the day before I was to pick up the 26ft truck, I received a call nothing was available in the city I live in. I had to drive 1 hour away to pick up a truck that was 11ft smaller. I had help to load the truck that I had to reorganize. After losing hours because of the extra travel, we were behind loading. I had to rent another truck and trailer to finish the move the following day. The real annoying part is I got an email a couple days later that I was over km's and was charged $5 and something. Not only was I put in a difficult situation 24 hours before I planned on using it, I had to pay for extra fuel for driving an hour out of my way in my personal car and the extra fuel the uhaul used as well as renting a truck and trailer elsewhere to finish the move. I understand it is difficult coordinating trucks in a company as large as yours but this whole experience was terrible and caused a lot of extra stress in an already stressful situation.Rob H.
We booked the U-Haul for 13 hours, the day of we found out we couldn't pick it up til 2hrs later and they took forever doing paperwork (something wrong on their end they said) so we lost another hour. Was unable to get key for quite awhile. As no one was at building during business hours. When checking in online it didn't give me a key code, it told me to go inside to get the key. Eventually someone showing up, I was still on hold with uhaul, so it wasn't me who he spoke to. When I asked him for help he told me he spoke to me, showed me the number and it was the wrong person. Turns out the key was left under the drivers seat and passenger door was left unlocked. I didn't get to leave until nearly an hour after I was scheduled for pick up.Tammy H.

There was no one available when I showed up to pick up my trailer, I waited for 45 minutes to no avail. The movers I had hired were left waiting in the parking lot. I returned home without my trailer and had to return in the afternoon to get the trailer. On my second arrival again no one able to assist was present for my apointment, I waited another half an hour before I was assisted. All this resulted in costing me lost man hours with the movers I was paying to wait for me as well as additional fuel costs making repeat trips to the city and personal risk in additional exposure to Covid 19 and vehicle accidents.Arthur B.

Poor service (Century St in Winnipeg) as I booked the reservation over 1 month of pick up date only to get a call 2 days before saying there was no trailer for me in Winnipeg at any location. They offered one to be picked up in Fort Francis 4 hours each way which is crazy.. an 8 hour drive when the uhaul was supposed to be ready for me in Winnipeg. At the end I had to go to Brandon (very helpful and I know none of this was their fault) which is 3 hours each way (6 hours drive) to pick it up and all I got was gas money.. I had to take extra time off work to drive that far.. no happy with this type of service.. could you imagine going for a holiday and find out the car you rented is not available and no other cars are available but you can get one but need to drive 3 hours to pick it up.. bad service on this part and would have expected better reimbursement then just gas money..Joe G.

There was confusion at the time of renting out the vehicle. It took 45 minutes to issue a vehicle. My original booking was for 24 hours and when they issued it, they changed it to 6 hours. When I questioned this and the delay, the staff at the location was very angry and disrespectful towards me. He shouted that he would tear off the receipt and kick me out of the location. He was threatening me for questioning the error. I was horrified by his action. They absolutely don't know what customer service is. Apart from this, none of the staff were wearing mask and were not following physical distancing guidelines. There was no plexiglass barrier at the counter as well. There are actions against the current rules of Manitoba jurisdiction. Last year, I was at the same location to pick up U haul for my friend Rahul Raju and they never issued the vehicle on the day he had the confirmed booking. I should have learned the lesson and went for a different agency. The actions by this agency is a shame for U haul and it's reputation.Jomy K.

Have the truck at the location that was agreed upon at the time of original reservation. This reservation was a complete $#!%show. On June 30th, we reserved a 10' truck for a July 15th pickup in Winnipeg for a one-way trip from Winnipeg to Toronto. Somewhere along the line, we were told the 10' truck wasn't available but we could have a 15' at the same price. Not a big deal as it worked well for us and since the truck has probably been paid for several times over by now, no impact to UHaul either. However, a day or two before the pickup, we were told a) our reservation was postponed to July 28th without our consent due to truck unavailability... AGAIN..., b) since we couldn't adjust our dates we were being downsized again to a 10' truck, and b) we had to pick up said truck in Brandon, MB... a 2 1/2 drive in the opposite direction (5 hours round trip). Several phone calls later, we were forced to accept the fact that Brandon was our only option unless we wanted to wait another TWO WEEKS. We were at least compensated for the Uber fare to get there as we did not have a vehicle, and some of our time, but the whole experience was less than ideal. What the company failed to understand is that this was a serious inconvenience for all involved. We had made actual plans. We reserved a truck well in advance of the need, people took time off from work and were on tight timelines, and one individual had to rearrange meetings with customers due to the delay. Not only that, we still had to return to ground zero to begin packing the truck after an unplanned 5 hour trip and another 1 1/2 hours to FURTHER argue for compensation (even after many calls on the phone). This was a HORRIBLE rental experience. When one confirms a reservation for a particular vehicle at a certain location, it is fully understood and acceptable to believe any reputable business will ensure that vehicle or a comparable one is available AT THAT LOCATION.David L.
