U-Haul customer service was garbage. Didn't pick up phone when I couldn't return the truck Website is also trash, wouldn't let me do anything. Took over 30 attempts in over 2 days to book the truck, and it wouldn't let me check in, or even return the van. I had to wake up at 6am the next day to return the van before the next rental period started. Very bad experience, but the location and person running the location was alright

Super easy pickup from this location, and friendly service. Only issue was truck had some maintenance that wasn't taken care of (broken side mirror) which needs attention.

The staff were great! However, I don't understand why you don't get reimbursed if you put more gas in than you use - if I buy something that's worth 60 $and I pay 100 $and they say ‘I don't have change', and that's not advertised in advance, that's now fair???

There is very high amount of deposit taken from the credit card despite returning the vehicle safely! While it is subsequently refunded, it just seems unnecessary and causes inconvenience.

Van was fine mechanically but dirty inside and out. That surprised me. The interior of the cargo area was well equipped with side boards and floor mounted tie downs. That was good. I didn't need any accessories (dolly, blankets, etc.) The staff were efficient and helpful but could have been more engaging. The location was convenient and I would use it again, based on convenience.

I showed up to pickup a 15' truck that I had reserved 3 days before. When I showed up I was told it was rented to someone else already and all they had was a cargo van. I had to wait 25 minutes and then a girl returned a 10' van by coincidence. The woman in dollar n plus threw me the keys and told me to take that one because I could be waiting hours for the other van if at all. It was not sanitized and was not even inspected. When I got it I realized it would barely get all the stuff from my 2 bedroom place. This was by far the worst service I've ever received. When we returned it she barked at us about whether we had parked it in the same spot and was on her personal cell phone half the time when I was talking to her. On top of that, uhaul is trying to charge me for 100miles of travel when we went 120 km. I am pregnant and had to stress over this entire day. We weren't even able to get all of our stuff moved and lost our elevator reservation in our building to move due to having to wait at this place for 45 minutes. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!

The location was fine. It was the online booking it kept charging me for things I didn't want. I selected a furniture dolly & it automatically added a regular dolly too. Then when I had to change location (which wasn't a problem, this location was better) the employee on the phone removed the normal dolly & added moving blankets. I didn't ask Or select moving blankets. A 75 $rental for just over an hour to move 2 pieces of furniture is steep. I paid "guy with truck" 100 $in the fall & I didn't have the same hassle. And it was a similar job.

The overall experience with THIS location is EXCELLENT! Al, the representative was kind, accommodating, informative, and very helpful. He helped me fix the overcharge by U Haui, but not by what SHOULD have been charged, as he could not completely fix the problem I have only one small problem with the renting experience. With no contact, there was a text sent to my partners phone, but her phone was not available for the moving day, as it was accidentally misplaced. We therefore MISSED the checkin process. When we returned the truck, we replaced the amount of fuel that was in the truck when we picked it up. But U Haul tried to seriously SCAM us by saying that it was a full tank of gas, and tried to make me pay,. Also, because this is a US truck it was charging me for excessive mileage in MILES, not kilometers! Riduculous. My rating for Dollar n Plus is 10/10. My rating for U Haul as a company is 5/10. Bad U Haul. You need to fix your system.

the online process was not good. i was unable to upload my photo of starting mileage and hence had to call uhaul. i have also not seen the charge go through although there is a deposit that has. it has not been refunded yet. so all a bit unfinished at this stage. and that was 2 days ago.

Having/Installing a rear camera (Reversing camera) would be much handy, particularly night time. Having a lock with number code (PAD lock) is useful to store items over night in vehicle

Not organized. Staff was not there when I arrived. Truck and equipment was not cleaned for covid. Prior renter dropped off the truck and I was handed the keys. No cleaning done. Very poor.

The pre-rental fuel tank capacity shown in the receipt is much higher than what I saw when I picked up the van. I added gas to the van but was still charged for fuel usage quite a bit. I only noticed that problem after I saw the emailed receipt. I even have a photo of the fuel tank level when I picked up the van.

Al, the owner of the outlet, did a fantastic job. He picked up the trailer hitch and he went above and beyond to make sure I had a superb experience with the u-haul rental.

I wish I can return the excess boxes to this location. I also have the used boxes that I'd like to give away which I think I can but I'd have to drive to the SE Marine Dr location to drop them off. I hope that this location can be used for those too.

We really appreciate receiving the 24 hour rental rate and reduced kilometre charge for the cargo van, given the distance we needed to drive to and from the Fraser Valley in order to complete our move. Very good service. Won't hesitate to recommend and use Uhaul again. Let customers know about your longer distance rates! I had to search for them and discovered them by accident.

I was guaranteed a rental at 8 pm. The store I was picking it up from was supposed to be open until 9pm. When I arrived they had closed early. I was on hold with the main number for 15 minutes outside in the cold when a man texted me from a local number saying that the person who had it last was running late and would be there in 25 minutes. When the person arrived it was just after 10 pm. Terrible. The man I was speaking with kept saying that sometimes this happens but I suppose there's no reason to even try to return a vehicle on time if you can just say I was running late. Craziest thing I ever heard. No guarantee

I had called the day before to confirm my reservation and the equipment I had ordered. on Saturday morning none of the equipment I ordered (dollys, furniture pads, etc) was in the truck. The owner of the dollar store where I got the truck had no clue what I was talking about when I asked about the equipment I had ordered. He ended up giving me his store's dolly, which is inappropriate as then he was without his own equipment for the day. Overall not a great experience.

When I received the vehicle the right front tire was at half pressure. The right rear upper running light was broken and dangling from the vehicle. Approximately 40 kilometers into the drive the "check engine" light came on and stayed on. Thankfully the vehicle did not break down. The fuel gauge indicated 1/8 tank. I had an air compressor and so was able to pump up the low tire. Just glad to have made it back, would not use this service again. In my experience with other U-Haul rentals the vehicles were clean and maintained. Really poor!

The only good part of this experience was the gentleman at the pick up location. Everything with uhaul was terrible. I did not receive the pick up location I requested or the truck I requested. When I called for assistance there was a general lack of caring. The entire experience felt like a scam - a bait and switch. I reserved something at one location and then was provided something entirely different at a another location. Next time I will look elsewhere. I will also not ever recommend Uhaul to anyone and if they ask will let them know my experience. Not to be rude, but this entire business model is complete and utter BS. I have rented from uHaul in the past and my experience was good. This experience was terrible.

This place significantly overcharged us!!! No service at all. You have to walk 5 min to find the van, and walk multiple times to figure out which key goes with which van.

I think I am scammed by the representative or the owner of Dollar n Plus. When I took the van I found out the gas was literally almost out. So I messaged him to ask if I could help him refill the gas then get refunded. He said he would refund me in cash. When I returned the key, he showed me the bill and told me the bill did not include the gas fee (KM rate). But the truth is that the bill, which is 58,99$, included gas fee. He deducted the KM rate from my refund of the gas refilling that I did for him, which made me paid the KM rate twice. I was not checking the bill carefully but for him as someone who does this every day, he must know that the bill does include KM rate, but he still lied to me. And since I took the refund of gas from him with cash, there is no way to trace it back. I just want to let you know that please don't trust someone like him to run the U-Haul service or he will just ruin your reputation.

Firstly, the U-Haul was not parked at the location I was told it was and had to take a bus to the location causing me a 10 min delay. Secondly, the U-Haul agent had not filled the tank till the minimum 1/4 they are supposed to and made me fill the tank out of my own pocket to compensate for the low fuel tank. Lastly, no instructions were given regarding the returning of the key and were charged a fine that I am still trying to contest as it wasn't our fault. We had left the keys inside and the U-Haul agent was very rude and expected us to come to their "closed" shop to deliver the keys expecting us to guess that a "closed" shop with its lights off would be open. I am very unhappy with the customer service of U-Haul. The UBC Village U-Haul Agent should be re-evaluated for being an agent for U-Haul.

I was told to return the van with the same amount of gas as I had gotten it with. It was below half a tank when I got and I returned it with half a tank. Now they indicated it was 3/8 which is untrue unless some used it after me. I have a credit card payment for gas purchase at shell station I put in 15$ for 34km of usage. Doesn't seem fair to be charged again. I will not be recommending you to anyone. Ever.

I will never rent from uhaul again. I brought the pick up truck back a day early. Of course knowing full well I was going to pay for the full three days. Shortly after leaving I receive this text “had a customer and was supposed to take the car. Since you didn't show up I had to return him and give him 50,00 $ reimbursement fee”. This text made no sense since the truck was due the next morning. I called immediately and told the owner that the truck was early so I did not know what he was talking about. He kept asking me what time I picked it up as that was when I needed to drop the tuck off. Again I repeat it was a full day early and as such his question made no sense nor his text. Eventually he he said oh ok. Next I receive an invoice with in correct and over charged mileage. I was being charged for 80,5 more mileage than actually driven. I sent an email with photos of mileage at the pick up and drop off. I received an email reasonably quick stating they would follow up with this owner. Photos do not lie. They are time and dated. I am being charged on my visa - almost a full day with interest owed. I called the owner and he informed me that he would get back to me tomorrow. This is ridiculous and terrible customer service. I should have my invoice adjusted to the correct mileage with an apology - same day! T

The representative was not helpful. The dollies I had reserved were not provided which made moving a lot harder. Moreover, I had my reservation for 9 AM and the representative did not arrive until 9:40 AM and therefore I couldn't get the keys on time. I had a very tight schedule on the day and this delay caused a lot of problems. I was very unhappy with the service and hope appropriate actions are taken to ensure this does not happen again. On a positive note, the truck was in great condition, easy to drive and the renting/returning process was very straight-forward!

We ordered a dolly. We confirmed a dolly. There was no dolly. We had a four-hour reservation. They would not let us take the vehicle out until we agreed to return it in two hours, because "someone else" needed it. Since the reservation system won't allow double-booking, I can only assume this was an off the books rental. Our invoice was wrong. Neither the mileage start nor mileage finish numbers are correct. We have timestamped images verifying this. The difference is....not minor. I will never, ever use this location again. I'm not even sure I'm willing to use any Uhual location at this point, because this isn't just bad service, an invoice with fake numbers and not living up to a rental contract is flat out deceit.

The vehicle needs to be sanitized. The dash lights need to be repaired (ABS is not an optional part of driving loaded vehicles). The location needs to keep their vans onsite and prepare them for rental appropriatley. Je ne recommande pas du tout.

Quick take: a hugely disappointing experience which made a stressful situation considerably worse. I have lost all confidence in UHaul and will avoid them from here on out, encouraging others to do the same. Explanation: about a week prior to my moving date I went on the UHaul site, and while most vans and trucks were rented for our moving day, I did manage to find a pickup truck some distance away from me which was available for the hours we needed so I booked it. *The day before we moved* I receive an email from UHaul with different truck rental times (it was changed from 10-6 to 9-3). I immediately called customer service and spend 45 minutes on the phone with a rep who was unhelpful and simply reiterated that “someone else had booked the truck before me”. This is either a major error in UHaul's booking system or a lie, and I suspect the latter. This is because when you go to rent a truck, only available trucks and available times are shown. Meaning, if someone had already booked the truck from 3pm onwards, I would have not been able to book it. I then contacted the UHaul dealer who told me that he could try to contact the other renter about changing his/her times. After not hearing back for over two hours I decided to adjust the plans I had already made with friends for moving help, asking them to come earlier. I also made plans to borrow another vehicle from a friend to finish up moving later if needed. When I picked the truck up the next morning the dealer told me “sorry about the times, but it's the end of the month and you take what you get, right?” Thanks to some flexibility from my friends, we were able to finish the move in the reduced time, but only just barely. I dropped the truck off on time and went home to find an emailed receipt. To my shock, the 15 $optional insurance coverage *which I did not purchase* had been added to my charge. I immediately called the retailer and demanded a refund. He told me I would be refunded, but I have now waited over a week for that refund and have not received it, and will be calling them back today. It is my theory that someone at UHaul changed my times in an effort to book two trips in one day instead of just mine. Again, to reiterate: do not use UHaul if at all possible. Brutal customer service. There are other options much more worthy of your business: Penske, for example.

The vehicle wasn't there at the time I was supposed to pick it up. Someone had to call the driver who said that he was busy and couldn't bring the car, that I had to pick it up in a different location where the car was parked. I had to drove there and my rental started 1h later that it should and it messed up with my planning for the whole day.

Overcharged for 15 $Insurance. I declined this coverage twice - 1) online when reserving and 2) in person when picking up the vehicle. It was STILL applied to my invoice and I am asking to have it removed. NO RESPONSE!

The owner was quite cool and easy going. He allowed me to pick up the truck earlier and gave me a ride to where it parked. Simply gave me the key and allowed me to return anytime. Even when I returned the truck he simply said that's all and will send me the email receipt. I didn't know how much I will be charged until I saw the email . I don't think I ordered the safeMove 15cad insurance. But it's fine. Overall good experience.

THE VEHICLE'S WINDSHIELD WIPERS FROZE 2 HOURS INTO MY MOVE. I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT TO THE LOCATION BEFORE I HAD TO PULL INTO A GAS STATION AND WAIT FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AS A VEHICLE WITHOUT WIPERS CANNOT BE DRIVEN IN STORM CONDITIONS. MY RENTAL DAY WAS EXTENDED DUE TO VEHICLE MALFUNCTION AND THIS LOCATION IS ATTEMPTING TO CHARGE ME FOR A FULL DAY DUE TO THEIR BROKEN VEHICLE.
