Vickie HFacility is nothing to look at and the lot is super-tight, but the proprietor has always been professional and efficient. With enough lead time, I can ensure the truck size I need is available at this location, which is a make-or-break for me to rent as the miles I'd incur renting from another location would offset the savings of using a UHaul in the first place.

Mir aMy only complaint is that the inside of the windshield was very dirty so night driving vision was difficult. The design of the windshield makes it very difficult to clean without a sqweegie, which was not provided.

Bradley RThe entrance and exit lane was the same as the auto body shop and I had to compete with other cars in the same space. It was a little nerve-racking with a 20 ft truck and tow dolly. The employee was good at taking charge, directing traffic, and getting my car off the tow dolly.

Qusai ZThe driver side mirror was loose and would sway back-and-forth when accelerating and braking. The air conditioner only work correctly 30 seconds out of every five minutes. The molding around the door frame on both doors was falling off. The windshield was absolutely filthy.

Glen K1) The person who I rented from took zero time showing me any features of driving the truck even though I told him that this was the first time I had rented a 15' truck. I had trouble using the ignition switch; had no idea where the hazard lights were; and had trouble adjusting the sideview mirrors as they were stuck in place. I wish the person would have spent 5 minutes showing me the features of the truck - my rental and driving experience would have been way less stressful. 2) Nowhere did it indicate how many miles per gallon or how many gallons were in the tank. There was only 1/4 tank, so I filled it up, costing $85. This was a MASSIVE waste of money to only drive 110 miles. Why wasn't the vehicle given to me full? That would have saved me $50. We would not have used more than 5/8 of a tank - but since we put so much fuel in the vehicle, we just let the vehicle run with the A/C blasting for an hour while parked to use up some of that fuel. WHAT A WASTE. So frustrating. 3) If there are 3 seatbelts in the 15' U-Haul, why can we only put 2 drivers on the vehicle? Why not 3? 4) We were surprised to be charged a $5 Environmental Fee - nowhere does it explain that we were going to be charged that. 5) We were surprised to be charged 10 % vehicle rental tax even though we rented only in Virginia, and the rental tax is only 4 %. 6) The rental was taken in the name of [husband] but he didn't pick up the truck so the rental agreement was changed to [wife]. I wanted clarification about the above 2 charges. When I sent an IM to U-Haul under the name [husband], the agent refused to help me and cut off the conversation! Even though I explained we are married and together and exactly what happened, and that the email address is in [wife's] name. I then called the 1-800 number for help and she said that $5 fee is standard - but how can you charge our credit card without first warning us? She also said she couldn't help us with the VA tax and transferred us to the VA district office. Well, NO ONE picked up the phone. In summary, surprise charges, terrible customer service from 3 different agents, incomplete information, and surprise charges to my credit card. Very disappointed. Will look elsewhere, like Penske, if I ever need to rent a moving truck again.

Steven AI ordered a dolly when I made my arrangements online and assumed it was on the truck. I didn't realize I didn't have it until I had driven away. I am not sure how it "disappeared" off my original order details.
Tai MThe truck was dirty, they did not have "all" of the moving equipment that I asked for when making the online order and when U-Haul's moving service came to load me up, they were late, which caused a delay in unloading and I had to keep the truck over the weekend. This location DID NOT CARE and CHARGED ME the entire time for the extra days. I believe they owe me a refund of at least 30 % for all of the trouble I went through with movers from the U-Haul's company website. I won't go with U-Haul ever again...it will be Penske for me for the next move. More reliable service and cleaner / newer vehicles.

Bradley WThe service was excellent. The van I rented was brand new (700 miles), and drove like it had 300K miles. The steering was vague and wandered left and right with excessive play. The doors did not close well, and had to be almost slammed to engage. The door hinges creaked as if improperly installed. The AC and cruise were OK, but the engine was very under-powered. Chevrolet did not do you any favors with this last van order.
