I’m originally from Lloydminster and they sent us twice to Wainwright to pick up our uhaul trucks we went out of our way to find out they didn’t have the right truck each time and had to settle for something different each time. Lloydminster has 3 different locations and each time we booked we were told to go to Wainwright to pick up with this it was extra driving and long waiting both times and I think that we shouldn’t have to be made to pay for extra gas and also mileage because Lloydminster could have gotten the trucks there instead of driving everywhere to go get trucks and being out of pocket expenses when it shouldn’t have been that way at all. Otherwise the service at Wainwright was great great customer service and apologetic people thank you Wainwright. Lloydminster needs to be more accommodating to people for uhaul services and have trucks brought for customers to use them instead of driving everywhere for the trucks our selves.

I had to drive an hour and a half out of my way on moving day, taking 3.5 hours total away from moving making me late. I understand it was not the fault of the workers there when we picked up, I just think U-Haul needs a better system for things like that

Not make someone pick up a uhaul two hours in the opposite direction from where they are moving to. Even though it's a one way trip I don't understand why location can't be guaranteed the same as an in town trip. I did not like the fact I had to drive 2 hours in the opposite direction and wasn't notified till the day before so I couldn't even make alternative plans.

The people were wonderful and great to deal with. Helped me hook up trailer! Price was good. The trailer needs a jack. It was a pain in the ass not having one. I Had to buy a floor jack. Difficult to unhook even when empty.

It took approximately an hour and a half to complete the paperwork. Faster pick up times would be beneficial.

Given too large of a unit. Wanted the smaller van that was there but unable to have it. I was told that it was an up-grade at no extra charge. It took more gas. Tires needed to be changed. They are just about bald. It was storming, quit icy.

Let renters know before the day they pick up that their uhaul needs to be picked up 100km from where they had requested, and hours later than requested, especially when it was booked a week prior. When Moving, people make plans and rely on uhaul to be ready when and where requested, or at least a little heads up prior. The staff at the pick up location were great though!

The windshield on the truck I rented must be replaced!! It has 2 noted damage cracks that are on the sight line of drivers. Nicole was amazing!! Very personable and efficient!

When I called on the Friday before Canada Day a lady said she would get the manager to call me. Never got a phone call and she cut me off multiple times during the conversation where I had to ask her to stop cutting me off while I’m talking. Basic manners were missing.

I was charged for cleaning. I called and said it was dirtier than I left it, but she said the cup holders were dirty. I said that's how they were when I picked it up. She told me I'd have to call to get the refund or it's their expense.i also mentioned the dolly I was charged for but never got, and again told I needed to call.

Check-out was quick and efficient, friendly staff. I bought 4 U-Haul boxes at Don's Speed Parts, but did not get a contract/official receipt for these boxes. We did not use 2 of the boxes and it was out of the way to go back to Wainwright. At the end of the one-way trip, we returned the truck and the convenience store would not buy back the boxes. We then went to the U-Haul location in Edmonton (9521 51 Ave) and staff member - Johnathan Brewer - assisted us to get refund for 2 unused boxes.

First of all, I ordered and was assured that I would be getting a 5 x 10 and when I went to get it, it was a 5 x 8 which was too small for what I had to do. I ended up paying cash (then later had to get my money back) because the guy couldn't work the debit machine. I was very frustrating and I would not deal there again.

On a moving day time is of the utmost importance, we booked in one city and had to drive almost 2 hours to another city to pick up our Uhaul.. 4 hours wasted right off the bat, when we got there the rep had no clue what he was doing resulting in an hour wait just to sign papers and pay. This was the absolute worst service I have ever had in my life and we are very dissatisfied with Uhaul. Next time we will probably have to explore alternative options such as possibly Budget. If you care about the customer experience please contact me to discuss this further!!

We ordered a 26'. Were told the day before there was only a 15' 160 km away. Unacceptable. Then told a 20' available 140 Km. away. Was told by the rep - telephone that I would not be charged mileage because of the distance between the eventual pickup point and requested pickup point. I have now been charged extra mileage! I am not sure that U-haul can charge customers to go 140 km out of their way and then charge them mileage to get the truck back to the requested pickup point. The girl in Wainwright was adamant that even if the truck was in Texas I would still have to pay the distance between there and my requested pickup point. Very disappointed in U-haul for not providing the size requested and then charging me to transport the truck to my requested point. Barry Scinski
