terrence lThe only complaint we have is we returned the rental on Friday 30 mins before the deadline and she has YET to send us any final itemized receipt even tho she told us she'd email it to me. The rental says it's completed but the truck itself still shows as "dispatched" on my app dashboard. I don't understand the delay in finalizing the contract and emailing us the receipt.
Sasha bGood customer service
LUCIEN PFast and good service well respective and friendly.
KEITH PCashier/Attendance is great.
Byron SI went online to reserve a trailer on Sunday Oct. 6 2024. U-Haul called me the next (Monday) morning to make sure I was coming to pick this trailer up but I missed the call at 8:22 a.m.. I called back at 10:48 a.m. and informed them that I was coming to pick the trailer up and I also informed them that I probably won't make it there by 12:00 and would likely be 20 or 25 minutes late getting there. I arrived around 12:20pm- 12:25pm to pick up the trailer. A young girl was at the desk inside and handled the paperwork for the rental. After the paperwork was taken care of and the payment processed she and I went outside and she hooked the trailer to my truck. The official pre trip check was downplayed at best (skipped) so I did a quick walk around to look for any gross and obvious defects and saw something that caught my eye right away, one of the wheels was damaged badly and it's surprising the tire held air at all. Once I saw this I told the young girl that I cannot take this trailer and the owner just happened to walk up at the right time as I was saying this and she was the one who responded saying what's wrong with it? When I pointed to it and said look at it she immediately began yelling at her employee and saying that she doesn't listen and if something happens from a trailer being checked in and things like this being overlooked it would be the owner's ass not this young girls because this young girl is only 16 and the owner said they would just give her a slap on the wrist and the owner would be the one who goes to jail. The young girl ran away crying and now this 80 year old lady was walking all around trying to find her because she still had the check-in tablet for the U-Haul check-in. For about 20 minutes I'm just standing there while this old lady is walking all around trying to find this employee and just griping and whining and trying to get pity or something from me. After sometime i yelled to her as she was walking out of one of the sheds looking for this girl she chased away and I yelled over "can I just take this other trailer I have to get going I have a lot of stuff to load trying to evacuate!" The owner replied "no I have to take a picture after its hooked up and she has the U-Haul tablet." When I heard I got in my truck and moved it so that I could take the other trailer. When I backed up to the other trailer and went to begin to hook it up she told me that their policy says that they have to hook it up, not the customer. I stepped aside and said okay and she hooked the trailer up to my truck. I then walked around this trailer and found areas of concern which I pointed out the one rim had a very heavy rusted spot on it that looks questionable, and the fact that all of the lug nuts on both Wheels on the driver's side of this tandem axle have dirty, broken down grease marks all over where it flung out from inside the hub and the oil liquefied and was seeping out of every crevice it could. She told me that wheel was fine with the rust on it and that U-Haul specifically said that if there's grease coming out by the lug nuts it was okay as long as something else was or wasn't something" I don't know exact what she said exactly (but I promise it wasn't logical.) I said ok then thanks I gotta go and she then had the tablet in her hand and then was able to take a picture and allowed me to finally leave. I drove straight to my house which is exactly 3 miles away and when I went to load the car onto the trailer The trailer tongue came up and hit my open tailgate. - I immediately stopped moving as I Crapped my pants, then after getting my thoughts together I backed down the ramp slowly and the trailer tongue returned back down to the hitch. I closed the tailgate and went to inspect as to what is going on and why this happened and what I found was that the screw type coupler was unthreaded all the way as much as it possibly could be. Clearly what had happened was that when this flustered old lady was hooking this trailer up she mistakenly turned the nut counterclockwise until it stopped rather than clockwise, making it loose, not tight. Once I got the coupler correctly repositioned, (and crossed the chains that she hooked up as uncrossed) onto the hitch I then turned that same nut clockwise (which locked the coupler to the tow ball) - now for the first time today, there is a U-Haul branded trailer correctly fastened to my truck. I then loaded the car onto the trailer and secured it and we left around 3am. It didn't take much time on the road to realize that something didn't seem correct and further realized that the U-Haul trailer was shaking enough that it was radiating through and shaking my entire truck. After stopping and looking and not being able to see anything obvious going on I decided to call and report this in case something happens or it gets worse. The representative I spoke to said she was going to transfer me to a manager as this situation was above her, but I asked that she please still document everything I told her so far before transferring me over and asked if I could have the managers phone number so I could call him myself. The representative informed me that she cannot give out his personal cell phone number and said that he was driving and could not get pulled over to look over the details right now and will call me back. She also informed me that I could call the main number but I told her I don't want to call back in and deal with all of the menus I have to get through to talk to someone I just want to speak to someone if I do need to call back -this is an important situation! The representative gave me a different phone number and said this phone number is for a manager named Miguel, who is even higher up manager. I told her it would only be fair for me to give the first guy the benefit of the doubt about calling me back and I would wait until closer to lunch time and if I hadn't heard from him still by then I could call this Miguel and see if he could help. I received a call back at 11:22am and thought it was the tow truck driver to come to find out it was the manager that was calling me back so I told him about what was happening and what had happened and he said that he would reimburse me for my Denny's and if we needed to stay in a hotel from this he would reimburse us for that and other travel delayed related expenses because of this. I told him I don't think that's going to be good enough, I mean I was trying to literally save my family's life from a hurricane coming to kill everyone in Florida and then this kind of crap happens - this is terrible. - this is absolute negligence and dishonesty that directly and indirectly caused this. - and it's not hard to see that. At 11:59 a.m. I missed a call from the tow truck driver who was calling to let me know he was arriving to where the trailer was still on interstate 95 northbound at mile marker 75. I immediately left Denny's with the family and we hurried to the site to meet with the tow truck driver. He unhooked the trailer from his truck and moved it out of the way and then I backed my truck up to the trailer and hooked it up. I then went on to the other side to help the tow truck driver hook the bad trailer up and then once that was done we all left. The replacement trailer rides very smooth down the road, that other trailer wasn't mechanically sound or safe long before it was rented to me. Stewing on this as I continue to flee with my family I decided to call that other number of the higher up manager named Miguel at 2:09pm. I spoke to a person who answered the phone named Richard. I explained I was trying to reach Miguel and the reasoning why and as he listened he assured me that he was going to make sure everything would get taken care of and that I would be compensated for all of this. He mentioned that I need to put in insurance claim in for the damage to my truck through a company that they use called RepWest. He gave me their phone number and suggested I call and set that up so that I can have the damage done to my truck taking care of. I mentioned to him that I spoke to the other manager James cappus and he was saying I need to submit an insurance claim to the safe toe coverage which I paid for and I told him that I disagreed with that because that was covered that I bought so that if something happened that was just out of chance you know during the course of the trip or you know something from my negligence would help take care of liability for that - not for negligence from the person who is the one who is required by policy to be the one that hooks it up and then takes a picture to verify that they hooked it up correctly and then here turns out she didn't even do it and come to find out later that the picture that she submitted was the picture from the very first trailer they got hooked up and then I rejected it after discovered the defective rim and tire that I sent you the picture of which had the drop style hitch. THIS TRAILER THAT I LEFT WITH, AT4413J, DOES NOT HAVE THE DROP AND GO STYLE HITCH BUT HAS THE SQUARE HAND TURN FASTENING STYLE COUPLER. THIS MEANS .... 1. The picture that she chose to submit was the one of the first trailer the one was equipment number 4622x which had to drop and go style hitch and then when I left with the other trailer she updated the paperwork after I had left and even though she did take a picture of that hitch that she installed incorrectly, it does seem like she did so intentionally. Who knows maybe she looked at the picture and saw that it wasn't tightened down and that there was no thread sticking up out of the top of the square nut? If not that's awfully convenient for her... 2. I never signed paperwork or an agreement covering the specific trailer that I ended up leaving with. 3. Any insurance coverage or entity paying for the repairs for my truck tailgate from this incident should rightfully so be totally free and clear and independent & totally separate of any policy I opened at the time of rental. THE OWNER OF THE U-HAUL PICKUP LOCATION WHO IS THE ONE WHO INSTALLED THIS COUPLER INCORRECTLY IS THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE PAYING FOR THE DAMAGES. OR YOU ALL AT U-HAUL (unintentional rhyme) SHOULD BE PAYING FOR IT. The replacement trailer they gave me came with a safety chain with a missing clasp and one of the secure traps was installed backwards so it's ineffective. October 9th 2024, 10:50pm Dropped off trailer at return location in Washington PA. I have time/date stamped pictures of everything mentioned.

Marc MGreat Service. Will only use this loacation Great Service.
Osvaldo CWhat makes this location special is the young girl that takes care of the UHaul reservations. I returned to this location because she has knowledge, her customer service is exceptional and she has a great attitude. I travel past several other locations just to have her take care of me. Maybe UHaul should hire her to train other employees from different locations. I will drive the extra time and miles for her, she is worth it.
Carlos GWell, I would really like that when the delivery 🚚 of a truck or a trailer is made, both the one who delivers it and the one who receives it take photos and videos of those scratched in the paint or blows in the past.
Jose cThey tried to Charge me for bringing the U-Haul back not at a full tank but when I got it it wasn’t at a full tank to begin with so they need to pay more attention to how much fuel is in the tank before someone gets the truck

Darciso CVery friendly folks
Marc MDue to the app being broken. It had me so confused and tye staff was trying to be helpful, but somehow everything got all mixed up as to where I was supposed to drop it off. It wasn't the drop off locations fault, not even going to blame the pick up staff, everyone was so amazing and helpful. I wouldn't recommend the 24/7 self check In anytime other than normal business hours on the weekend. If you do not have help, the app will have you wasting time.
Jennifer BThe young lady that assisted us was wonderful. Promptly opened when she said the would - was very clear about the extra mileage & fuel requirements. And even answered the phone a few minutes past closing time to answer a question .
Donald WThe UHaul hosted software was defective and servers were unresponsive, causing the checkout to take two hours. All on Corporate.

Miguel VEquipment was clean, but malfuntion in jack. The young lady was very professional and curteous
Terry LWORST LOCATION! There should be better instructions on how to get there because the address given by U-HAUL leads to the middle of nowhere, literally in the middle of the woods. I spent over one hour driving around back and forth looking for this place. Called customer service and the robot said wait time less than 5 minutes but nobody ever answered, even after holding 35 min for someone to pick up the phone. I was stranded in the middle of nowhere trying to return this truck and there was no help from U-HAUL whatsoever. As they would charge me if I delivered the truck one hour late I should also be compensated for wasting over one hour of my time driving around looking for this place and not even having the support I paid extra $15 for. Very bad experience!
Giovanna BI will never do business with U-Haul again. The location I where was sent to pick up my reserved trailer did not have it. I had to go to a different location to get a junk trailer that should be retired. Terrible business practices!
